First of all - Most of their 5 star reviews are fake both on Yelp and Google Maps. More on in later. Second, my actual experience - They are borderline fraudsters, and most likely will scam you once you sign the contract. I did a project worth $15K with them and it was a nightmare experience. First, they began adding several hidden charges, knowing that I have no other option than to stick with them. Second, they did a quite a bit of damages in my home during installation and walked away citing the contract holds them not responsible. Finally, they were tried a neat trick to charge you more - they will increase the square footage of installation, I am not talking about 10% wastage. For my 650 sq. ft carpet installation (including 10% wastage) they were charging me for 765 sq. ft. When I questioned them, they reverted it back to 650 sq. ft. Something to be careful with these people. The workmanship is just ok. Harwood installation was ok, carpet installation was a lower quality work. Here's how they work - they subcontract to another folks who in turn subcontract to another folks, this caused a lot of churn in communication and in the end, you pay for all the middleman. Lastly, they will not honor anything they mention on their website or provide any kind of warranty. The same owner has another store in Lynnwood - Wills Flooring and you will see a striking similarity in review content, language as well as posters for both the stores. All these reviewers who have given 5 stars have posted only 2-4 reviews on Google, they all have stock photos and their profiles are locked. Just realized that my review did not post way back in October 2019. Found OC Flooring when contacting refinishing companies to get our floors refinished in our previous single family 3 bedroom 1 & 1/2 bathroom rambler in Kenmore before placing it on the market to sell. Oleg was very quick to respond and provide a very fair and reasonable quote. He was one of the only companies that did not require us to remove the toilet from the 1/2 bathroom in the Master. His team was very efficient and was able to get the refinishing done quickly. I think it helped greatly that the house was empty. When the job was completed, my husband and I noticed a blemish in the office. We felt the area and it felt like it had been missed. I contact Oleg and sent him the photos. He indicated that he would be over the next day to take a look at it. He had confirmed that it had been sanded and refinished and that it was just the way the grains in the natural wood appeared. Very happy with the service and quality of work that was provided for the price that was offered. I would highly recommend Oleg and his team to any one of my family or friends that need to have their floors refinished as well as our real estate agent for any of her clients. We've been planning to install new hardwood floors for a while and decided to go with OC Flooring. In retrospective that was an absolutely the best decision we've made and we would highly recommend their services to anyone. Communication (5 out of 5): Communication was a breeze. Company promptly responded to my Yelp quote request and after few back and forth messages we've arranged a time for them to visit our house for measurement. We've received the quote few hour later, with reasonable price and detailed cost breakdown for old floor removal, sink/toilet remove/reinstall, baseboards remove/reinstall, new flooring installation, etc. Timeliness (5 of 5): Work crew of two young but experienced fellas showed up at our doors 5 min before planned time, and promptly proceeded to their tasks. It took them just two days 8:30am to 5pm to rip off the old hardwood flooring, take off baseboards, remove kitchen appliances, prepare surface and install new flooring in our 650 sqft space. Results (5 of 5): New flooring looks awesome - no gaps or visible seams, transparent caulk applied where appropriate to close the gap between boards and marble block next to fireplace, quarterrounds glued and nailed in place as if they were never removed. Crew have removed all old flooring, packing boxes and dumped them at the local garbage site at no additional cost. The communication was a bit of a challenge. I trying to get penciled in for any work took longer then necessary. Also, the initial estimate was never fully provided to me on the day of; rather, I have to keep poking for my initial estimate. The excuse was that the PM was not available to provide me the estimate and to wait until the PM returns. However, that took nearly a month and it ended up that the PM or staff left or had issues... Eventually I scrapped most of my project and only had the files for my fireplace done. The tiles did finally get done but the whole experience was jus that.... "Ok". As the customer, I had to proactively keep reaching out for my estimate, service and basically played PM. The work done by the individual did a good job but the again, the overall experience with OC Flooring was just "ok". However, due to the whole communication level and the delay it caused my project. It definitely could of been better... Nothing much I can say positive about. Honestly, if you are looking for flooring or tile work and have a project time line. I would venture elsewhere. Their price was a bit shy from competitive too so for all my effort. I give it an honest "Could've been better" 2-stars review. To be sincere, I can give some mercy being that it was still in a pandemic. Although, it shouldn't be too hard to provide proactive and better communication efforts. I hired OC Flooring to sand and refinish 2000 sq/ft of hardwood flooring. The experience was not good to say the least. They weren't the cheapest or most expensive. They had a nice brochure, so I chose them to do the job. It started with them not using the agreed upon Bona Traffic HD finish and instead a lesser grade Bona Mega One finish. Their workmanship was subpar and unprofessional. After they initially said the job was complete, there were lots of sanding swirl marks, uneven stain, and hairs and debris in the finish. They attempted to spot treat areas which created a patchwork of different sheens. I withheld the final payment until they finished the job in a professional manner, but instead of doing so they took me to small claims court. The judge sided with them based on language in their contract rather than on the basis of their performance. My neighbor had hired them as well during the same timeframe and had an identical experience though she settled prior to court. I'm sure OC Flooring will reply to this review with falsities and untrue statements, but facts are facts and I have photos to prove it. Hopefully, this review helps others avoid making the same mistake in hiring OC Flooring that I made. read more

We had begun talks with OC Flooring late October 2021 to refinish a hardwood floor and re-carpet a guest house. Despite a reasonable response time getting an estimate to us, we just couldn't get past their contract. No work was ever begun because under "Miscellaneous Terms" and "Warranty" the contract was definitely one-sided favoring the company solely. Not our idea of a contract between to entities. Our floor was going to need partial replacement with new wood being put down as a result of water damage, cupping and a significant black stain. We requested an addendum be added to the contract stating OC Flooring make every effort to "match" or "come close to matching" the color of the rest of the floor knowing there are materials' limits to contend with. We accepted those limitations. The company refused to comply which meant to us that they might not make any effort to even near match or do an adequate job. Also we requested they make every effort to repair or replace any and all deficiencies in their workmanship before 12 months had expired. The literal meaning of the contract states they can delay correcting their work for up to 12 months. They refused to agree to timely correct their work, if needed. We simply could not sign their document and good luck to any of their future customers who do and run into a problem. We would never recommend or use this company. read more

They redid our kitchen floor while we were away. Ripped out old flooring, replaced plywood, installed brand new red oak and stained to try to match rest of the house flooring. Results were fantastic. Take a look at the pictures and look at how amazing the floors look. They were fast, friendly and professional. They put down paper to protect the walkway as they came in and out. No fault of their own but my old floor downstairs some of the stain came up when they pulled up the tape holding the paper down. I'm going to start with the positive, this company did a great job with our floors. We had a big job that required them to remove a lot of carpet and add hardwood flooring, the end result was very well done. No complaints on the flooring. Going into it, do not expect to be able to salvage your millwork after floor installation. They remove your millwork to install the floors and set them back in place after the job is done without calking. Our millwork was destroyed. It appeared as though they ripped them in half in many spots and there are large cracks and missing paint throughout. We are now installing all new millwork. We had 2 contractors come out and they both said what we have is unrepairable. Also, if you are having new flooring put in your kitchen, they will remove your appliances. Please, please hire someone or move your appliances out yourself before the job begins!! We just bought all new stainless steel appliances 3 months before our floor installation and our fridge now has 2 large, obvious dents and our S.S. dishwasher has a large scratch. There was also floor stain left on the fridge and the stove drawer was shoved back in with such force that a piece broke off of the inside of the drawer. Our fridge also sat outside for over 5 days. No one let us know about the damage, even though the broken piece from the stove drawer was just sitting on top of the kitchen counter. When we approached the company about the issue we received at least 3 different emails with the reply "We 100% did not cause any of the damage." We are beyond upset with the carelessness and lack of empathy and responsibility from the company in regards to the damage of our new appliances and now have to live with the damage. Learn from our mistake and take time stamped pictures of all your appliances before the job starts. We also now have to hire a painter because there is a lot of damaged drywall and scapes all over our entire downstairs walls. I'm not one to write a bad review but we are still forking over unexpected money to fix all the damage they left in our home. I only give them a 2 star review because we are happy with the floors, but know that they have HORRIBLE customer service and do not take any care in your personal property. I will say they did give us a $300 credit "because of the inconvenience" but that doesn't even begin to cover any of the extra expenses we have endured. Would not recommend, the headache is not worth it. Find a different company. read more

We hired OC Flooring based on the fair quote and convenient schedule that they offered. We asked them to refinish our existing red oak hardwood floor in the kitchen area, and extend it throughout most of the first floor. The oak flooring was delivered a week prior to installation to let it acclimate to the house. Two OC Flooring workmen then came to remove base boards and install the oak boards over two days. Another two workmen then sanded the floors, applied three polyurethane coats, and re-installed the base boards over three days. All crew members were hardworking, experienced, and courteous. They worked expeditiously, efficiently, and with attention to detail. As a result, the flooring looks spectacular and visitors to our house offer compliments. The OC team pulled up our carpet in our upstairs and refinished the hardwoods underneath. They did an excellent job doing repairs in spots and getting the exact color we wanted with the stain. We especially appreciated that they use a water-based finish and the odors were not that bad. We stayed in our basement and it didn't bother us at all. I had a project done that needs to refinish the entire first floor and staircase with OC Flooring. I am very satisfied with what they did. Our floor was tougher to sand than ordinary, so it took one day longer than scheduled. Even though they were busy and had another project started right after mine, they did not rush to finish it. Instead, they delayed the start of the next project by one day and spent another day to finish mine with the same high quality. While there are many glowing reviews, I think these come from customers who brought big projects/big business to OC Flooring. Our experience was similar to Laura P -- our project was subcontracted to our surprise and the quality of work compromised. Shortcuts were taken and there were issues with trim, baseboards, flooring, transitions, etc. The flooring installed was an LVP and purchased directly from Will's Flooring, which is also owned by Oleg. We questioned the need for an underlayment below as a subfloor before installation of new flooring. We were assured there was no need. Almost a year after installation, the LVP flooring is flexing under our feet and showing dimples and indentations due to heavy furniture/furniture legs. We are extremely disappointed in the quality of service and lack of craftsmanship. I suppose we all live and learn through these experiences but be sure to question everything! read more
