Have you ever wanted to overpay for an inexistent reservation? Acme Suites is your best bet!…read more We booked a condo for $600, but when we checked our credit card, they billed us for $840, an unexpected hike of $240. Since they will not pick up the phone nor answer your emails, rest assured you will not have a chance to dispute the charges! Since they already billed us, we decided to make the 6h drive from San Francisco to Oregon, hoping they will honor the $840 they overcharged us and have the place available for us when we arrive that night. On the day of the drive, we checked our bank account to realize that they refunded the $840, with no notification of the refund whatsoever. At this point, we were already 5h into our 6h drive to Oregon. Living in San Francisco, I've always wanted to experience unexpected homelessness. Acme Suites gave the opportunity for us to do so. Thank you for the thrill!

Very quiet, easy parking and a gym with an excellent personal trainer in the downstairs. Claudia, the Property Manager, has been incredibly helpful and responsive on those very few occasions we needed her help. She's as pleasant and easy to work with as any property manager we have met and has always been available to help. The suites themselves are all different, and they are very reminiscent of Soho lofts. Fully furnished and easy walking to restaurants and bars such as Jefferson Spirits and Porters. And a very easy walk to the Growers Market on Thursday's at Hawthorne Park. We have rented other suites as friends and family have visited. The location makes it very convenient and easy to get to Ashland, Jacksonville or Grants Pass. Also, quite central to the great vineyards in the surrounding Rogue And Applegate Valleys. When we first started staying in Medford we rented a suite at the Marriott, but soon moved to Acme. More space at Acme, better value and right in Downtown Medford. We are leaving Medford in a couple of weeks, but we'll be back regularly over the next year or so. Definitely planning to stay at Acme every time it's available. K

It was delicious! Fresh salmon, tangy coating and earthy, buttery asparagus. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes were crispy, salty and savory- great starch addition to the meal. My friends got the shoestring fries, steak bites, and bbq platter. Everything was delicious! My favorite of what they god being the BBQ ends with the Mac & cheese with breadcrumbs. So creamy and satisfying. The barbecue was juicy, saucy and tender. The service was fabulous. Tanishia M took care of us nicely. What I remember most is how nice the place looked -- it has a fun mix of modern and rustic decor and very clean restrooms! My husband and I ordered the shareable mac and cheese along with two entrees, the Green Goddess salad and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with tater tots. The portion sizes were very generous. I appreciated that they gave us two small plates to split the mac and cheese, and by the time we got to our entrees, we were already getting a little full! For the salad, I really appreciated how well-seasoned and prepared the tofu was. The tofu had a nice light, crisp coating and was flavorful, and the salad had a nice mix of crunchy cucumbers and lettuce mixed with sliced grape tomatos, feta, and red onions. The salad was not over-dressed and made it easy to take home leftovers. My husband also enjoyed his sandwich, being the second time he has ordered it. The chicken is crispy and well-seasoned. I especially liked the tater tots -- no greasiness and just the right amount of salt. Our waitress was super sweet and kind checking up on us as well. Highly recommend and definitely a place I would come back to on our annual Medford family visits!

Wax Skulls!…read more SITREP Should you find yourself in Medford, OR on a Thursday morning, DEFINITELY head on over to the Medford Armory, where - in the Armory's parking lot - you will find the Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market ("Rogue Market")! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rogue-valley-growers-and-crafters-market-medford?select=JZqbYnqxY1QMX_2gxbEpLA THE SETUP Like most Farmer's markets, Rogue Market has a lot of great produce - even floral - options, that are all spread out in nice spacious, roomy booths, with ample room between them so that people can stop, chat, compare items with each other, etc.: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rogue-valley-growers-and-crafters-market-medford?select=FTCIRkoEOfgnTes8qxp2KQ MARKET POPULARITY - BASED ON GREAT DISCOUNTS And where many markets I hit down here in California pay "lip service" to providing discounts from the main grocery store chains, Rogue Market actually has some pretty profound steals, such as these raspberries: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rogue-valley-growers-and-crafters-market-medford?select=MOEIewyb2w2KdoOszwzp8w My lovely hostess, Yelper GoGo M., took me around the market with her and I could see the low cost of many vegetables (onions, cucumbers, etc.) and fruit (melons, watermelons, berries, etc.) compared to what we saw in a couple of cursory trips to the local food chains. CHEEEEEESE! I was surprised to see SEVERAL cheese vendors on hand, hocking their tasty cheese wares! Usually at the Sacramento markets I hit in the Downtown grid, we are lucky to have just one. The cheeses were varied - from soft to hard, goat to cow - they were all over the board, with artisan quality: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rogue-valley-growers-and-crafters-market-medford?select=9TuPNBKt0eo_ZBGpLdoYBA And the vendors eager for us to try their samples - and to good effect: we bought several varieties. HOT FOOD VENDORS & FOOD TRUCK VENDORS Many of the produce sellers also provide some great hot food options. We enjoyed several vegetable & cheese "turnover" pockets that were absolutely delish, with options ranging from Mushroom or Southwestern, etc.: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rogue-valley-growers-and-crafters-market-medford?select=MOEIewyb2w2KdoOszwzp8w And yep - the Food Truck mania has reached Southern Oregon, including this one tasty Peruvian vendor with some great Spanish options. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rogue-valley-growers-and-crafters-market-medford?select=vsGAG6zJk2tBuwZljvUytw CRAFTS! But where Rogue Market really stands out from most standard farmer's markets is in it's craftwares. I DO have to give props to the Saturday morning Midtown Market in Sacramento, because that one comes closest to what I experienced here in Medford. In both scenarios, there are many different craftsman that have some exceptional quality products. THE BEES KNEES! One vendor that grabbed my eye was the gentlemen selling delicate wax figurines. They were pretty spectacular! My favorite would have to be the skulls, and there were several varieties of those: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/rogue-valley-growers-and-crafters-market-medford?select=iMNspK2KwpIxAS6hNIlc5g THE LOWDOWN Rogue Market is a great stop on a Thursday morning when prowling about Medford, OR.

We noticed a sign telling us to seat ourselves so we did so. There were two people behind the bar, a female with blonde hair and tattoos on one arm and a guy wearing a durag. There was a younger guy with dark hair wiping some tables. We waited for someone to approach us. And waited some more. The female was serving people at the bar and came over to talk to the people at the table next to us...then ignored us to go over by the bar to look at her phone. Finally, the younger guy came over to ask us if we wanted menus. Then the female yells..."I've got it"and came over to ask for our drink orders. Our drinks came out and she walked off. We waited a bit for her to come back and take our orders. After at least a 20 minute wait, our food was brought to the table by a different female from the back. It was warm but not hot. The hamburgers are made from frozen pressed burgers. My husband asked for his medium rare and it was well done. The fries were good, so one star for that. My husband enjoyed his beer, another star. Zero stars for the service which was some of the worst we've ever had. This place was pretty empty on a Saturday night during dinner service. I guess we should have taken that as a sign. They are really missing the opportunity to provide great food and customer service. We won't be returning.

After a while I got tired of waiting so I go to the deli and ask them if they can please call somebody to come to aisle 15 and help me out. And then I stood at the end of the aisle and waited. After waiting another five minutes nobody showed up. So I go walking back to the guy on the phone and he gets off the phone, turns and walks to the back. I would have gone to another store but I was on a time crunch even more now. I got a simple wrench set and didn't get the other gear I wanted. if people at Ace wonder why this location is slow selling, for starters it's because the customer service is lousy. Looking at timestamps of text messages whileI was in the store, I have waited over 25 minutes just trying to get a simple wrench set because there's nobody available to help get the thing that I need. I should never have come here to get hardware and should have gone to another place instead where they have dedicated staff they can help you out instead of one guy in a grocery store.
