It's such a shame that the old owners are gone. The new owner is RUDE. More than rude; disrespectful, unprofessional, just plain awful. After the Christmas Eve debacle, I decided to give her another chance. Went in willing to pay $20 per dishtowel and I had picked out five. Then I had to wait to ask to find something else, while she chatted with a friend. When she was done, I asked where I would find pot holders and she said "back there". Um, ok, there's no one else in the store. Not sure what "back there" means. That's when I decided to see if the lovely Carefree Buffalo, next door, had something. The dish towels were to be a gift for a retiring librarian who loves to bake. Anyway, I left and found something fabulous next door with a helpful, kind salesperson. So DONE with this place. Two strikes and you're out, lady. This occurred on May 1st, 2026. Crazy lady. I stood and patiently waited while you chatted with a friend. No one was checking out. Someone was standing and chatting with you. She had NO bag in her hand to indicate she had just purchased something. I did not stomp out, in fact, I said I would be back. There were no other customers in the store when I left. You have multiple reviews on how rude you are. It's not the first time; but it is definitely my last. Not only are you rude, but you also lie. I'll be going to The Kitchen Collection in Grants Pass. In case you didn't get the memo, that I got when I was 16: THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, even if they aren't. Instead of trying to salvage the situation, you double down and blame the customer and make up a story that "everyone", who wasn't even there, was glad I was gone. Thank you so much for responding. Had a very unpleasant experience with who appeared to be the shop owner yesterday. When I saw they carried Jacobsen Co. salts, I asked if she also carried their caramels. Maybe she thought I was asking for a caramel flavored salt? Either way she looked very irritated and in a condescending tone said, 'what is there is what we've got.' Other people in the store commented on how rude her response was. As part of a small family retail business, I would have never responded to a customer in that way. It is important to me to shop local, but I was made to feel like an unwelcome nuisance and will not return. read more

Don't purchase anything with a gift certificate that you might need to return. The new owner (I believe her name is Erica) said it was "too difficult" to return since I paid with a gift certificate and asked me to exchange the item for something else right then and there. I had spent $117 here the week before, so I didn't have anything I needed to buy. I said the receipt says you can get a refund within 7 days to which she replied, "Our receipts would be too long if I had to put everything on there that should be on there." She ended up writing the new amount on my gift certificate and said, "Don't expect me to do this ever again." Maybe she was having a bad day, but she didn't need to take it out on me, a customer. read more

Simply put, I love the Pot Rack! We discovered this great kitchen store several years ago during one of our annual trips to Oregon, and we've been returning ever since. The owner, Joann, is usually at the store and is extremely helpful and nice. I assembled a collection of cookware bought at the Pot Rack, and when two of the pans failed, Joann was very helpful in encouraging me to return them for exchange and keeping her informed (the pans were quickly replaced). Everything in the Pot Rack is top quality. Sure, there are cheaper kitchen goods available, and I certainly have my share, but my annual visits to the Pot Rack always find me carrying bags of things I never knew existed and suddenly couldn't live without. For anyone visiting or living in or around Jacksonville, a visit to the Pot Rack will be quite rewarding to anyone who cooks or knows someone who does. read more

I was in Medford for Christmas and needed to get a couple presents for family. I didn't see a kitchen store in Medford that looked good so I opted to check on this place in Jacksonville. First I called then to see if they had what I was looking for. An elderly gentleman was extremely helpful on the phone. I went there the next day to retrieve what I needed. Again, a couple elderly gentlemen helped me. They not only had what I was looking for but had a couple different brands of it. They were also super sweet with my 4 year old daughter too. They gave her a small beater to take home and cook with which certainly helped entertain her while I looked around. The store is super cute. Small, but full of everything and anything you'd be looking for. The products they carry are top notch. I had anxiety leaving because they had so much great stuff. The building they are in is pretty historic in nature. Even the front entry concrete stoop was concave from so many years of people using the entrance. I hope to return here again. Maybe it will be my Christmas tradition when I'm in town. read more

Our favorite kitchen shop anywhere! We always come up here when we go to Ashland for plays, and once again we were rewarded with excellent service and top-notch kitchen products (ScanPans, a really good knife sharpener and a better corkscrew). They know their products and are most helpful in demonstrating them (e.g., the knife sharpener). They are not cheap -- but this is a store that epitomizes that really good service + products are worth the premium. read more

Pot Rack has a great selection of kitchen tools and gadgets. The customer service is the best. I bought a pair of tongs and some dish towels. I was so busy chatting with the owner he forgot to put the tongs in my bag. I called the next day and the owner sincerely apologized and he offered to ship the tongs to my house. I declined and came to pick them up and was given a refund. I would have happily paid because I like to support small businesses but I graciously accepted his offer. read more

My new favorite kitchen store...I love the Pot Rack. If you're tired of Williams Sonoma and Sur La Table you've got to check out this store. Great cookware, unusual items for the kitchen you won't find anywhere else, plus great customer service. I told the saleswoman that I was done with Le Crueset as I do not like the heaviness. She showed me the Scanpan products from Denmark. I bought the 4-1/2 qt. pot and love it. I thought that I'd probably paid more for it than ordering through a website, but I do like to support small business owners. Amazing, I googled to see how much they were at Amazon, etc. and the Pot Rack price was exactly the same. So, good prices, interesting store and such nice people are the reasons I will return in the Fall to add more pans/pots to my collection. So glad I found this store!!!!! read more

This is the best kitchen store I've ever set foot in, by far. It's amazing! They stock the most innovative, useful, and unique items you can imagine. They also have an incredible knowledge of, and experience with, each of those items. As an avid cook and baker, this store is truly like Willy Wonka's factory in terms of stocking my kitchen - from hard to find, obscure tools to everyday staples in the best quality.
