Food was very good!! Service not so much. We were there late afternoon, so not busy, in fact we were the only ones in the store. Only one person behind counter, We ordered and he said he couldn't hear us. Husband made a comment about the fans humming, just to make lite of not being able to hear. He didn't seem to find the humor. He had an EarPods in, I felt like asking him to take the EarPods out, might help the hearing. Ran our card for payment and asked for receipt, he had already walked away, seemed like an inconvenience for him to give me my receipt. Made out our sandwiches, which were very good. It was 8:30 at night on a Saturday, place wasn't busy at all. My son looks at me and says nobody likes this place apparently, I said come on let's give it a try. We looked thru the menu of about 25 different subs. I picked the Philly Cheesesteaks and he tried the Chicken bacon ranch. Food came out in about 3-5 minutes and it was hot and fresh. Great subs + fresh ingredients + awesome service = Grand junction. I always get the Barnyard every single time I'm here. I always tell myself that today is the day I'm going to try something else, but nope it's the Barnyard every time. It's just that good. The Barnyard is pretty much a meat lover's dream as it is every meat possible stuffed into a sub. The workers are really nice and take the time to check up on you to ensure you are having a good experience. I usually order fries with my subs and 50% of the time they really hook me up extra on the fries. On top of that, clean establishment and relaxed atmosphere. What I love about these hot subs is the super fresh meats. You can check out their grill and assembly line and see everything is so fresh and clean. The place is hopping with a nice attitude and a modern feel. Food doesn't have a "packaged fast food" kind of taste. Cheeses are fresh, veggies crisp, herbs and spices taste like home quality ingredients. We also love the giant cookie. No one ever thinks they will eat it all, but guess what? Great tasting hot subs. I ordered the Philly Steak and the meat and veggies were grilled after ordered. Fries are also fresh cut and dropped into the frier upon ordering so it was all hot and fresh. This place is amazing! Not exactly the same as the Fargo locations but nearly is! Spendy for just a hot sandwich but each one is special and there's so much variety-large menu! They also have dip n dots but they are spendy as well. Overall, a great meal but if you're eating out with a family member or friend, you could go to multiple sit downs for nearly the same price. This was our first time visiting Grand Junction. We ordered Italian subs and fries. When we received our subs, the contents were slapped on haphazardly so that all of the sub meat was resting on the bread's fold. We attempted to rearrange the sub contents to no avail. The meat was rubbery, though well-seasoned. As far as the bread, I am a firm believer that sandwich shops should have bread that is a slice above the rest. The bread, frankly, was adequate. The staff is always friendly, especially the curly haired dude who is usually running the cash register. I've been here 20 times or so and the food is always hot, the place is clean, and it has a fun atmosphere. My favorite is the sweet chili chicken sandwich. It's a pretty cool, fast casual place, prices are competitive, and the ingredients are great. (You don't see those gray/pink tomatoes like you get at Subway) The wait times are pretty short, there was a football team who ordered ahead of us and I think my wife and I only waited 8-10 minutes. You get to watch your sandwich being made, which is cool, and it seems like the people working enjoy their jobs. They are open 7 days a week and will deliver. My wife and her coworkers will order at work quite often (nurses) and the sandwiches travel surprisingly well, so don't be afraid to get this stuff delivered. All in all, GJ is a a solid, locally owned sandwich joint that you should probably try. read more

Portions are never consistent, I've been multiple times and it takes 30-45 minutes. Last time I went it 45 minutes to get one sub and some fries. Paid too much for the skimpy portion they gave me and both the sub and the fries were cold. I had to microwave them. (The drive home was 3 minutes) They make excuses too. Like "we only have 2 grills" or "our products are fresh blah blah blah". Lots of places use fresh products and are MUCH faster. Five guys for example: all their ingredients are fresh, they have 2 grills, they have fresh cut fries, and they only take at most 10 minutes to get an order out. More like 3-5 if the store is empty. Get your crap together and stop making excuses. read more

This was without a doubt the worst sub ive ever had in my life. My sister and i each had a sub an order of fries delivered, it took an hour to get here and arrived in a brown grocery sack with rock hard ice cold fries scattered all over the bottom of the bag. My sub arrived without the mayo it was suppose to have on it, the turkey was the same thick sliced lunch meat you see as the off brand at a grocery store and was completely tasteless...the cheese had no flavor at all so i have to assume that was of equally as fantastic quality. My sister had the same disappointing experience with her sub selection as well. It was almost 30 bucks for one reg and one small sub and fries which i have no problem with if its good, but a couple pieces of lunch meat with a slice of tasteless cheese on a bun thats hard enough to double as a hammer isnt im sorry...i wont be back. read more
