Family eating dinner

Grand Buffet is located in a shopping plaza off of Route 17. We came here for a birthday celebration towards the end of the pandemic. There were about 15 of us. We ordered the buffet. They had very specific protocols that were still in place because of the rise of the new strain, but the service was impeccable. The service were helpful they were on point, picking up and clearing dishes and bringing out new dishes and serving beverages as well. The buffet was OK as far as casual dining. They serve Chinese Japanese and Thai food as well as some American dishes

I have never been here before but my husband has come with coworkers. I was surprised at how large the seating area was and how busy for a Sunday afternoon. There were a lot of different Asian inspired options to choose from. The sushi tasted fresh and new food came out frequently. There were 5 different rows of buffet options including a sushi station and a hibachi station. I tried to taste a little of everything, but I don't know that I had a favorite. I liked that they also had a variety of soups. Overall I would probably come again, although it was a little too busy/cramped for my taste.

This buffet was exceptionally clean. The staff were beyond nice and friendly. I feel as if it may be family-owned, especially given how coordinated everyone was. If it is not family-owned, the staff certainly act like one, which is awesome. A staff member was always cleaning the environment, showcasing their cleanliness. The staff also made sure to replenish any low food items and discard any old food, replacing it with fresh food. The staff were great at checking in for drink refills and taking away finished plates. They offer a great selection of foods and desserts, and also have a hibachi option. The buffet offers child-friendly foods as well, such as chicken nuggets, fries, onion rings, and pizza. There even great vegetarian options as well to enjoy. The only reason I deducted a star was due to the fact that some of the fresh fruits where not ripe, and unfortfunately cause me to have a little stomach pain. As well as throw up all the fruit I ate. Otherwise, this buffet certainly impressed me, and I would come here again.

I've driven past this buffet many times and finally decided to try it out. Dinner was about $25/person and found that to be higher than expected based on other buffets I've been to (granted it's been years since I went to one). The team was fast in seating us and bringing that drinks and were attentive to our needs. The food was good overall, nothing spectacular though. I'd recommend doing hibachi. For dessert I love ice cream so I went over to the soup section to grab a big bowl. The decor was standard, perhaps a little dated now but fit in with a buffet vibe.

It pains me to write this review because the employees were so nice and friendly here, so I will keep it as short as I can. However, I hope they will take reviews like this one in stride and use it as motivation to make changes and improvements. Honestly, based on the reviews, we had expectations that the food would be decent, but, unfortunately, it didn't come close to meeting those expectations. The buffet left a lot...I mean, A LOT, to be desired. So did the restaurant décor. The food selection wasn't good. If you love greasy though, then maybe you will love it here. Many of your "inexpensive" common buffet foods can be found here though - noodles, fried rice, chicken/beef dishes mixed with vegetables, fried/baked/steamed seafood, sushi, desserts. Now, one might assume, what's wrong with all of that? Well, the food quality was very questionable and so were the flavors. We actually didn't eat any of the sushi because we questioned how safe it was. Sometimes, you can easily sum up an experience as "not good" and this was one of them. The ONE ... ONE bright spot with the food was the hibachi station. We loved that you could add as much as whatever you wanted from the station onto your plate - chicken, beef, shrimp, eggs, vegetables, noodles - and the chef would cook it right up. Also, there were 3 sauce flavors you could add to it too. We wanted to love Grand Buffet, but from the moment we walked in, there wasn't a good feeling in either of us. As for pricing, as of May 2023, it ranges from $14.99 - $22.99 depending on the day of the week and time of the day. In addition, they also allow customers to carry out food, which is charged by the pound. I could have said a lot more, but I'll keep that to myself. I HOPE...HOPE Grand Buffet does make changes for the betterment of their business because customers deserve better.

Can't help it... SO GOOD!!

CONSISTENT! The food is always FRESH and very well flavored, the chef should be commended for not overpowering the ingredients with heavy sauce or seasonings! Quality is very good, a par above in quality over other buffets I've visited before. We live further from here now but we put on the miles for special occasions and it doesn't disappoint! "DELICIOUS!" is the word I heard from my guest who is, in my opinion, quite a picky eater. . Today she was full of complements!! Keep up and ALWAYS stay OPEN!!

Food was average, nothing special. Service is on the ball. Would go there again because of the large variety.

The food taste pretty good and the server is very friendly. For weekday night 2 people over $30, kind of overprice for buffet.

Don't fear the fusion. I wasn't sure what to get but the Yelp-approved red curry was a good choice,…read morewith impressively fresh vegetables including broccoli, mushrooms and red peppers. And the chicken cheese egg roll fun? Authentic Chinese fare, no, but authentic suburban cuisine, you betcha. It's been some time since I enjoyed the delightful burn of complementary mustard on crunchy complementary noodles. Waldwick is quieter than some of its neighbors in normal times and given that it was Christmas I didn't know if anything would be open. Very glad to discover Red Bowl; from observing interactions with several regulars it seems the locals are already on board.

Remarkably unremarkable. "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a…read moremaster of one." Typically I am in the ever-most agreeance with Billy Shake; however, this is a law that applies to some but not all. This law should not be applied here. Master of nothing. And Jack of a farcical fusion trade. The epitome of, yea that was an OK dinner. The Thai food is bland, the Chinese food is underwhelming, the sushi is actually fine. I grew up spoiled off of the well-rounded juggernaut named Jumbo of Airmont who did EVERYTHING well. Iykyk sista. Red Bowl couldn't even fry their rice. Could never chicken their broccoli. Wouldn't dare to lace their lo mein. Which is a shame, because sometimes you want a dynamic dinner of all the above: Chinese and sushi and thai but oh my the sharks out of the water here. Broke through the waves but just can't walk on the land - Even though it so would like to. Evolution takes millenniums. And God chose the homosapiens, go complain to the aliens. These fusion factories often pry on the weak families who can't decide between the three, but it's clear as a mist-less day... they whiff hard at the tee. You will be crestfallen if you appreciate every dinner as your last. If you don't mind an average meal, then I and this review are not for you. Don't be abashed by your carelessness, we all have different purposes in life. Linguini's is just a higher purpose, and with that I tap out here... to never return.
