This place was great. We had really fast and friendly service. We were welcomed right away, taken to a table and had very attentive staff waiting to take our order, refresh our drinks or meet whatever need we had. I liked that they provided a tablet with the menu but also a QR code to the WiFi and a QR code to the menu so you could browse however worked best for you. We got tomato bruschetta as an appetizer, cava for drinks, and a delicious vegetable paella for dinner. It was a lovely meal. We booked 7 pm so it was quiet when we arrived and we were able to choose the table we wanted but by the time we left the restaurant was full and bustling but still comfortable and inviting. Fantastic restaurant in Barcelona- the food is great as is the service. Had various appetizers- their toast with tomato is killer- warm, crispy, chewy, salty. They gave us a complimentary mango/apple/cucumber roll to try and it was a nice surprise- flavorful and fresh! The jamon was good, per usual. Tried the crispy suckling pig for the main- pretty good. Some parts may have been a tad overcooked, but overall it was very tender and had good flavor. Dessert was the chocolate three ways- talk about sweet and rich. It hit the spot! We went to this restaurant on a recommendation while waiting for our cruise to begin and it was a wonderful meal. Food was incredible (nicely plated too) and staff was superb!!! Beautiful decor and clean interior were also a plus. After our cruise, we decided to go back for our last meal before heading home and they wowed us even more. One of our friends wanted a soda they did not offer but they went out of their way to get it for him. That's service! Will definitely go back the next time we are in Barcelona. read more

I don't think they have the spring rolls pictured here anymore or the stuffed clams but these were also delicious. Do not miss out on the drinks! I cannot find my drink on the menu but I remember it was refreshing and perfectly sweetened. The service was good, nice staff and the food came out fast. We had a reservation beforehand as it was on a Saturday night. You should get ressies in advance as the place gets super packed with big groups; it is a popular place. This was our first time visiting Viana BCN and my husband and I had an amazing time and enjoyed the food, and warm service by the entire team. Absolutely fantastic restaurant! The restaurant has a really fine ambience and the food to match it. It has some very interesting takes on very traditional Barcelona dishes. The croquettes with squid ink was out of this world. Accompanied with Ceviche and classic Jamon. In drinks they added a very subtle touch in the cava by floating some pomegranate seeds: looked and tasted divine! The Paella was as authentic as you can get. Most importantly, we were very expertly taken care of Justin, who made some fantastic and very apt recommendations and in the end gave us a complimentary liqueur as well ! Yes there are two. They're very close and the same restaurant, but it's a bit confusing if you make a reservation which one it's for. Turns out they had room for us at this location and they were so nice about seeing us in. We had excellent service all around. The blackberry mojito is worth being their poster drink: barely sweet and so picturesque. The croquettes we're a twist (squid ink plus squid and octopus) - very rich and satisfying. The baby scallops were a tasty bite too. The patatas bravas were good, again with a twist (some patatas are sweet potatoes!). The entrees were just ok: the lamb is a sort of pulled lamb, with good flavor and very tender. Served with tabouleh and the temperature contrast was just sort of off putting. The mushroom risotto was rich, but needed just a little more salt. (The sauce for the lamb had plenty!) A neat spot with a friendly staff that was able to accommodate a huge group of 16 as we were leaving. Impressive! Just wish the food had been a "wow". read more

The culinary experience offered by Gran Viana - from the ambiance, to the staff, the drinks and the FOOD - is unmatched. I ordered the "Cube Roll de Ternera Argentina" (see picture). If you are a meat lover, this is a must have. The meat is so tasty that you can almost have it alone, buuuut I recommend you treat yourself to the patatas bravas AND the shrimp & veggie rolls. everything was absolutely delicious. from the tapas all the way down to the dessert. out of the 11 different food items we tried my favorites are: tapas: tuna dices marinated in soya with apple and avocado main: barbecue style black angus beef rib with potato parmentier and grilled wild asparagus dessert: baked cheese cake with crumble, coulis and vanilla ice cream the servers were observant, friendly, and polite. they even put a candle on the dessert for one of our party member's birthday today! a must try!!! read more

The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend it for the food. The service was very bad though. Service: We had a reservation booked for 9.00 PM and when we got there were taken to our seats. We had to wait for a half hour until they took our order for appetizers. We had to wait after we finished the appetizers we had to wait for another 40 minutes before we got our food. After we got dessert which came decently quick. Food: The food was really good and I would definitely eat here again if the wait wasn't so long. The appetizers were good except for the salmon which I would not recommend unless you like raw food. The main course was good but it wasn't worth waiting one hour and 40 mins. The dessert was the best part and the chocolate one was amazing. Ambiance: It was cool and gives off a fancy feel. Has the impression of a bar and a fancy restaurant in one. What an incredible find! This place has superb food and great service! Brian (our server) was so nice, friendly and helpful. I'm so glad he attended us. We ate the tapas so fast, I did not take pictures of everything we ate but luckily we ordered more of our favorite. The prawns and white fish ceviche and the tuna diced marinated in soya with apple and avocado were amazing! We also ordered the fresh burrata cheese w/sorrento tomatoes guacamole nuts and peanut vinaigrette and the codfish in blood orange sauce! My fiance wanted beef well done, (very close to burned actually lol) when he got it it was still a little red, it was totally fine for me but he is picky..so we send it to cook more. Not a big deal for us. Manager rigth away came to apologize, they even wanted to give us dessert for free for not cooking the meat the way he wanted. Amazing food and great service. A big thank you to Brian for his delicious recommendations. The shrimp / sea bass ceviche was a refreshing start to our meal. The octopus had a very light tempura batter and paired very well with the potato / seaweed foam. My wife loves fresh octopus and she declared this serving to be her favorite octopus dish thus far! The beef cheeks were super tasty and tender, contrasting nicely with the sweet potato / cinnamon purée. I normally choose anything chocolate over cheesecake, but as we had enjoyed all his recommendations, we decided to follow Brian's lead on desert - a very, very light cheesecake, unlike the much denser versions we have in the US. Me and my fiancee were finding a restaurant to have dinner tonight. We were seaching a place that have great scores and we ended un with Viana, we didn't ask for a reservation because we wanted to see it on person so we went there to check it out. It was packed full and they didn't have a table for us so they recomended that we should go to their new restaurant Gran Viana, it is way bigger than Viana and was more welcoming we were greeted with a big smile from the host, cooks and the staff. We sat at the sofa and it was comfortable. For begginers we had the Iberian ham with bread and tomatoes, It was tasty the bread was soft and crunchy and the Iberian ham was full of taste, it was soo tasty that we had to order another one, then we had the Fried Potatoes Viana Style, that had a rare flavour that I was craving for more, from all of the restaurants I've been to in Barcelona this is the restaurant I fell in love with, and I will asure to go back and bring some friends with me. read more
