Shaded places to eat out front - mid century fabulousness!
    Hope W.

While Graff Dairy has had several owners, the original opened in 1964. The original building has been expanded, but as you can see from the pictures it still has that fantastic retro feel complete with mid-century colors and old trucks parked out front. We were introduced to this ice cream place by relatives who live in the area. It's always a treat and one of the highlights when we make a pilgrimage to Graff Dairy during our visits! The homemade soft serve ice cream is delicious! There are regular flavors and specialty flavors that change weekly. You can find out their flavors of the week on their Facebook page. They offer sundaes, shakes and malts. They also offer other desserts and food, but I've only purchased ice cream when I've visited. Maybe it is a good thing that we can only visit during our visits. Otherwise, we may be gaining a little bit too much weight. The ice cream is that good! There are several tables where you can eat outside, including in the shade.

So easy to become addicted! I didn't know that soft serve could taste so good. I like how they have their weekly flavors and the specials to go with it.

Salted caramel with oreo glacier and almond toffee with Reese's peanut sauce

First trip for me to Colorado, specifically Grand Junction but for newbie tourist, we've come to Graff Dairy TWICE. Sunday night was crazy with drive thru line onto street. Hubby and I both got glaciers. I got fluffer nutter with oreo mix in. Hubby got peach with strawberry mix in. My glacier was DELICIOUS and container lickable good. Hubby not so happy with fruit. Day 2, got almond toffee glacier with Reeses sauce mix in. Good but last night was better. Hubby content with salted caramel with oreo mix in. Even got two pup cups for our furbabies. So yummy. Glad I live in Washington otherwise I would be so fat from Graff. Service is great. Attentive enough staff

Special of the day: Triple Berry Split: Blueberry soft serve, cherries, strawberries, raspberry, without the graham cracker topping.

Cute local place to check out with lots of custom options to choose from! Be patient as wait can be long. Friendly service: staff taking time to explain menu as it was our first time. Order at counter inside, give your name, and they will shout it out as orders are ready, pick up to the right of order window. Portions were good! Taste was about what is to be expected. It was worth a visit and I like supporting what this dairy does in helping out Teens at risk!

    Turtle Mountain Glacier

Graff takes me back to the days of when I was a teenager living in GJ looking for an inexpensive way to hang out with friends and grab a cone. These days when I visit the family, my niece requests to go several times so she can get her salted caramel brownie glacier. On this trip, I had the turtle glacier which was awesome. It was like having a candy bar in a cup with their smooth vanilla soft serve layered with caramel, chocolate, pecans and topped with whipped cream. I like the visits with family where it spans over two different months, so I can try the flavor of the month. My favorite so far has been their pistachio but their blackberry, pink lemonade and coffee have all been very good as well. You can't go wrong with Graff. Either walk up and order or drive through. They have cones, banana splits, shakes, malts, sundaes and glaciers to choose from plus more.

Dee-licious! Cold, creamy, sweet, flavorful, and fresh. Grand Junction's gift to the lactose-tolerant, frozen confection-loving community. Graff's shakes and malts left us ice-screaming for more!

Was driving through Green River and found this adorable, refreshing soft-serve spot that's a big barn with a sprawling lawn and delicious chocolate and vanilla twist soft serve with rainbow sprinkles. An old fashioned car with twinkly lights. Big booth outdoor seating. 5 stars!!!!

They close at 6:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Not 10:00 as yelp reports. Tried twice, not going back. Going to Dairy Queen.

Service was sparse. I sat at the bar. Sat there 6-8 minutes before the blonde person at the bar said hi. I had to wait another couple of minutes since she was talking to a guy behind the bar and a couple other people sitting at the bar. It sounded like friends, not customers. Eventually, another bartender came on named Bailey. She was service oriented and took my order. She knew I was ready and I think she understood. I was waiting a good 15 minutes before she got on the clock. It's funny how things work out. Bailey took my order of two hotdog, mustard and onions, and almost immediately the blonde bartender, I think her name is Taryn put dirty plates right in front of me. The dirty plates sat there a few minutes and when Bailey brought the dogs out she took away the plates for my request and apologized. When I asked Bailey for the bill, I was surprised to find a charges of $.50 for mustard and $1.00 for onions. I truly love a good hot dog and these were pretty good. I wish they were grilled, but I came to found out this establishment steams their dogs and they are a grill less & greaseless. Very green and I respect that. But a dog deserves a grill. I give Bailey five stars for service. The other person named Tyron, one star.

Either this is a really fine depository of rib excellence or the owner has a large family who can post positive reviews. As I pulled into the parking lot - wafts of odorous bbq essense permiented the surroundings. Exiting the car I was greeted by a nondescript entry to the restaurant. On first glance about half of the booths were filled with patrons enjoying large portions of bbq. The place was clean and simply appointed lending to the notion that this was a serious place for eating - not some overly ornate palace that boistered the ego of the owner. After a short wait for the two meals my wife and I were to enjoy at home - I received my meals tightly bundled in a plastic bag - no need to check on the contents - these folks definitely had it going on! Upon arriving home I opened the foam container to what I had hoped for - two nicely portions of baby back ribs and 1/4 chicken .. along with a baked potato and corn on the cob. After securing the necessary beverage accompaniment - I dived right in. Fifteen minutes later - wiping my mouth and hands with a wet paper towel - I knew I had found a BBQ Mecca - here among the Western Slope of Colorado - who would have "thunk it?" ...

I opened the second pan of brisket and it was in beautiful sliced rows, the meat was tender and moist as I expected. I called the next day and spoke to the manager, Tyler, he took down thorough report/form which the GM instructed him to do and told Tyler told me the General Manager Nick, said he would call me back. I never heard from him, very disappointed as I spent $198. Poor customer service. L. Thompson
