Big mistake. 1) it's in the basement of an old folk's home and so it felt odd like we didn't belong, 2) it took over a half an hour to get our food, 3) some of our food was hot, some of it was warm, and some of it was cold. We were afraid to send any of it back because it could take another half hour, 4) the taste of the food ranged from mediocre at best to downright bland and awful, 5) the system for putting away your plates and trays is odd. When we had looked at photos of the menu beforehand, we thought this place would be like Kneaders. This is nothing like Kneaders. Stay far away from this place.

Like the many reviews state, this food truck is located at Mesa Mall right in front of the Dicks Sporting Good. Enough about logistics and my biscuit history, lets talk Alarado. The biscuits. Whatever you get, you have to try it with the biscuit. Personally went with the sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich with pepper jack and the BISCUIT ofc. There's something surreal about eating a delicious biscuit breakfast sandwich at 7:00 am in the morning when its raining outside. I'm surprised I even got a photo of it before demolishing it. Now underrated co-start is the breakfast burrito. Because my back is big, I also got a chorizo breakfast burrito with green chili. Goodness gracious, that one also was a banger seriously. Biscuit sandwich or burritos are definitely the move I'd say here. Go get your biscuit on.

We also got the avocado toast with smoked salmon and were pleasantly surprised to see that it came with entire filet of salmon for only an extra $6. We were expecting a few slices of salmon, but this was great! The fresh toast was ordered for the table. I found it to be a 7/10. Loved the peach inside, but was underwhelmed overall. If you're a group of 4 maybe consider getting the fresh press coffee, which our server recommended we do. Perfect serving size for us, but if your group drinks a lot of coffee just get the drip. Chalee was our server, and she was wonderful and kind. AC was BLASTING, if you run cold bring a sweater.

Today I inquired about it and was told that "chef is very strict about it" and they could not increase the amount of banana in the dish. He has also removed the beef tips from the menu. This was my husband's favorite. This new chef is not local and apparently needs some education regarding local expectations. Although I have been a loyal customer, I may not be able to recommend the restaurant in the future.

She had it with fruit and was happy that it wasn't the standard melon mix, it had blueberries, blackberries and grapes with only a few melon chunks. The only issue (if you're not familiar with the area) is parking, they share a too small lot with several other businesses. I mentioned that to the server and she said that there is under ground parking available. I'll remember that should we decide to visit again.

There were bits of queso fresco crumbled over the whole thing, giving that tang. Even the brown rice was treated with the utmost respect and has the most amazing flavor and hearty texture! I assume this reflects price creep and the reality that the market will not support a $20 counter-service breakfast (especially one that prompts for pre-tipping) when a comparable $12 option is available across the street at a full-service restaurant. Combined with long wait times and lukewarm food, caused by either amateurs in the kitchen or lackadaisical food delivery by the counter-staff, Cafe Sol has regretfully moved to my "occasionally OK" list.

They are straight-up skilled at breakfast burritos. The eggs were cooked perfect -- just enough runny yolk magic -- and yes, I'll always pick runny yolk. I also grabbed Tyler a bacon burrito, which of course I had to "quality control" sample . Tasty too. You really can't go wrong either way. Then after hearing all the comments about their burgers, I had to swing back by downtown Grand Junction at 4th & Colorado . I went with the Tailwhip Bison flat-grilled burger and added jalapeños because, let's be honest, jalapeños make just about everything better.
