As you can see, I've been coming to this coffee shop for a long time, through a number of different owners. They recently were acquired by a new owner, and the difference is marked. They have refreshed the various menus, which was badly needed. They have vastly improved their baked goods selection, very welcome change. First off, their door is a hand injury waiting to happen. It seems like an easy fix, but apparently, it hasn't been a priority. They don't offer decaf coffee, and when I ordered regular coffee, they filled the cup so full it spilled all over my hand and pants. I never reviewed this coffee shop previously, but I will say major improvements with the new ownership. They have excellent espresso drinks and for the price they certainly don't skip on the amount of espresso in the drinks. My absolute favorite is the Cuban. It is a delicious brown sugar breve with loads of caffeine. The empanadas are small and a bit overpriced, but very flavorful and authentic. The chimichurri is the move for dipping sauce. The pastries are pretty good. It's never very busy and it's pretty quiet. It does take them a while to move along between customers and make drinks. I don't mind the extra five or 10 minutes. Compare compared to other coffee shop though because I'm not in a hurry. It's definitely a good place for a meeting or studying because it's not a lot of hustle and bustle. I certainly recommend. This was absurd. Ordered two To go sandwiches- 2 people working and probably a handful of people in the shop. She didn't say there was a wait of anything because everyone was sitting with coffee or heading out. After I paid I waited 40 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Which we all know is frozen patties or possibly premade. Zero communication. Absolutely under no circumstance is it worth the wait. By far, the best cold brew I have ever had. I have been all over the US and used to work at the most popular coffee shop in Moab- Aspen Street's cold brew has the most flavorful cold brew. This was my first time having their food, the Turkey Pesto Wrap, and I am so happy I did. The turkey pesto wrap is so refreshing and flavorful, with the perfect ratio of ingredients. So many places get the ratio wrong for aesthetic reasons or to lower the cost of more expensive ingredients. I'll be coming back very soon! read more

They have a nice menu with different coffee options along with a quick bites as well as alcohol drink mixes and pastries. After browsing through the menu I ordered Cuban Coffee and Bagel Sandwich. I would be giving Aspen coffee in Fruita a five star rating except for ONE glaring problem. They are never open!! The shop has excellent coffee and delicious sandwiches but, I swear, every single time my wife or I or friends or family go there they seem to be closed. Here a cute-n-homey coffee shop in downtown Fruita, Colorado, right next to the best bike shop in town (maybe the only bike shop in town, actually!). They don't have a lot of offerings outside of coffee but what they do, they do rather well. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the place as well as the friendly, accomodating staff (I had a special "ice" request on a hot day and the girl behind the counter was super eager to please). Would go back when I am in town although admittedly, that is not going to be anytime soon (I live in Chicago so the sheer mileage gets in the way of that). read more

Haven't Yelpd in a long while, but felt this was worth it... We were heading bak to Ca after racing Leadville 100 MTB race & wanted a caffeine hit for the drive to Sandy, Utah. We stopped in Fruita since the town is known for MTBing. Mountain bikers all enjoy a good cup of jo! We found Aspen Coffee and Amanda blended up an awesome cold white mocha! Far better than bucks, great job Amanda! Go in and try a cold blended white mocha! I shudda bought 2... I guess it'll have to wait till Leadville 2015!
