I went to this salon based on a recommendation, unfortunately, I did not have the same experience that my friend did. Owner who did my nails acted like she was doing me a favor, she actually said 1/2 way through the manicure I should go next door to another salon next time. She was rude, the powder dip hasn't lasted a week, broken and chipped, so disappointed. The glue was all over my finger tips when I left, the edges of my nails were rough and unfinished. When I asked if she could clean up the edges and glue Grace said no, it will come off! It was obvious since I was not a regular to this nail salon I was rushed out and given poor quality SNS powder nails. One side of my index finger was filed down so much and she tried to get away with it. When I pointed out what she did she got annoyed that it had to be fixed. It still looks horrible as there is a dent in my nail. My nails were not filed roundly and evenly. After the clear nail polish was added on top she touched it So that my left hand has uneven nail polish. I wish it would show clearer in pictures. My cuticles were not prepped correctly and the SNS application is curling where my cuticles are. I will never go back to this place. I visited for the 1st time and I will NOT be back. I was rushed as you can tell from the job done (notice middle & ring finger nails were filed completely crooked). I got a gel manicure & my nail beds were destroyed, the woman used some sort of tool to scrape off any bit of my last gel & my healthy nail beds - a tool comparable to what you would use to carve clay. My nails are now bendy & and the gel manicure has not even lasted 4 days w/ bubbles & cracks in the gel. I have also never received a gel treatment where I wasn't asked to wash my hands after from the chemicals to ensure the color stays, they didn't ask me too. I'm so disappointed, for $35 I have received treatments that can last 4 weeks+. Not to mention it's so dark in there they can't even see what they are doing, the tools were not sanitized from person to person and the towels were cold. read more

I probably would have done a better job. They have a 'membership card' that they stamp so you earn your way to $10off or something like that. Update: Went again and was pleasantly surprised. Turns out that with this place it depends on WHEN you go. If you go towards the end of business or on a weekend morning, you'll get the rush treatment. Girls are tired. I went on a weekday around noon and 3 days later my mani/pedi looks pretty good. At the time of posting (2019) a mani/pedi is $28 plus $10 for the callus remover. Some places include the callus remover but you don't get a 5 minute hot stone massage. You can buy a whole bottle of remover for $8 at Harmon's. read more

Use to like it here. Now it's 50/50. I spend a good amount of money at this salon, I tip well, and every other time I'm either waiting 45 mins for my APPOINTMENT, or, the job is done half assed. I came here in today at the time they told me to, no one was ready when I came, and the gentleman that started me off, didn't even do it correctly. The place is really nice decorated and comfortable but I wasn't impressed with the results. People would look at my nails and say they looked too stuck up. The only man there who does them said they would last 3 weeks, mine are still on but not in its place as you can see in the last hand photo. I also got gel pedicure, it was relaxing with the massage chairs. My nails were cut a lot shorter. I paid $70 in total ($40 for acrylic gel mani + gel pedi). My cousin also got hers done the same day same acrylic gel manicure just a more vibrant color after 2 weeks or maybe even less they started to fall off one by one. Same deal $40. Separately, I paid my mother's gel manicure for $25. She picked a lilac color and after a week or so, the tip of the nails started getting dirty and you couldn't wash it off or anything. My sister got acrylic mani in a white color by Opi. After a while (2 weeks or less) they also started getting dirty. These were also stuck up nails for $30. read more

Grace Nails & Spa is the best nail salon I have ever been to. I used to get UV Gel and acrylics often and I never found a place that does them with such quality. Now I go in for a weekly mani and a monthly pedi. The basic pedicure is amazing and includes a hot stone massage... you leave feeling relaxed unlike other salons that just paint your nails and soak your feet during a basic pedicure. I have been getting my nails done here for years. Unfortunately, lately their service has gotten remarkably worse. They are inconsistent; nail technicians are frequently distracted and rushing. While visiting a friend in this area I was overwhelmed with the amount of nail salons to choose from and ended up at Grace nail and spa on a whim. I went in and got a basic one color, no design. Told the guy to keep my coffin shape and if anything make them more defined. My nails came out looking like fat almonds and half are uneven and globby. Alright, I will begin by saying this: my biggest pet peeve when getting a manicure done at a salon is having the woman or man RUSH through the manicure when no other customers are waiting. I visited this nail salon a few days ago and it was empty- there were 3 or 4 women getting their nails done but no one waiting. The woman who was going to do my manicure pointed to a seat and I sat down. She started aggressively taking my nail polish off and then stops and just gets up to sit at another table. She mumbled- we have to move over here. So I got up and moved to a station with no paper towel or anything placed down on the table- she just shoved my hands onto a dirty table with nail dust on it. She applied cuticle oil but then wiped it off with a cloth... OK... then she started WREAKING HAVOC on my cuticles- she was plucking at them SO hard and SO fast that she of course, cut me. I didn't say a word- I let it slide... it happens. She continued to literally tug at my cuticles speedily until... yup- she cuts my thumb and it is bleeding. SHE NEVER APOLOGIZED but instead blamed my "sensitive skin" and I told her she just needed to slow down. She applied some gel to my bleeding cuticle and then proceeded to barely massage my hands with lotion and asked me to pay. I tipped her $3 on an $8 manicure because honestly, I don't have it in me to be rude to nail technicians. She never said thank you and when all was said and done, she directed me to a seat, turned on the dryer and stormed off back to a table to play on her cellphone. This is only my third time getting a manicure or a pedicure and it was perhaps the best experience of the three. The staff were professional, gentle, and they maintained a quiet, serene atmosphere in their store. There is a wide array of polishes to choose from, they have 2-4 week gel options, and even different brands of polish. A basic manicure is seven dollars and the French pedicure, which is what I got, costs $25 dollars. Nothing special cost $20 dollars and a basic manicure cost $15 dollars. They even give you a lengthy massage while you get your nails done. The girls are gentle, well trained, and a pleasure to work with. The next time I am in this area I am definitely coming back! The only negative I have is that they sometimes wash their equipment while they are working in the same dish in which they cleanse your hands. I'd suggest bringing your own equipment to counter that. Once you get going, you will get good service HOWEVER, the last 3 times I've gone, they will stop in the middle of what they are doing to you and take someone that is getting a more expensive service than you. I always go here to get my eyebrows done, and for the most part, they do an excellent job. But today when I went to get my eyebrows done, the girl doing them seemed very nervous. I felt as if it was her first time doing it on someone else. She dripped wax on my face (nose and above my mouth). Then, the owner came in and said, "After this one make sure you throw that out and change it! No sharing between customers. Each customer gets a new one, okay? Throw that out after her!" Meaning that either the wax or the wax stick they were using on me had been used previously, on a stranger. THIS IS NOT SANITARY. I will not come here again. The fact that she said it in front of me!!!! Disgusting. Also, the last time I went there, about a month ago, my friend and I walked in and approached the front podium. We were ignored. They ignored us for a few minutes and so we sat down. A woman walked in behind us (after us) and they asked her what she was here for. We stood up and said that we were first and she shushed us and asked the other lady what she was there for, and then we had to wait another 15 minutes before we were taken. I made an appointment for two people at 11 AM for acrylics. When I showed up with my friend every worker was working and had no idea an appointment was made. Me and my friend are younger looking nineteen year old girls and they completely took advantage of that. There was one worker going back and fourth working on us for acrylic nails. She was rushing and not paying any attention. To the point that instead of getting my nails done to relax I was actually being cut and roughly taken care of there. Many of times I told her she was drilling the side of my finger instead of my nail. In the mean time of switching back and fourth working on me and my friend, she stopped my services and went to wax someone because they had "appointment" as so did I. She she didnt clean the globs of sloppy acrylic that were under my nails and she didn't correctly shave down the acrylic to be a smooth nail. Both of our nails look like waves. Not only were th services terrible they were very unpleasant and gave the assumption that they were speaking about us in a different language amongst eachother. I had a HORRIBLE experience at Grace Nails in Mahopac, New York. I will never give them any of my services ever again. I work in the beauty field and I am completely dissapointed. I agree with everyone below that the pedicures are awesome. However, I feel that I must share my experience regarding a SNS/Shellac manicure. I regularly get an SNS manicure at another nail salon in town. I notice Grace did the SNS and decided to give them a try. 2 days after getting the SNS at Grace, it began to peel off of my nails. The SNS normally lasts over 2 weeks for me. I went in 3 days after I got them done and the owner said, "There is no way you got those done here." I pointed out the woman who did them (as they asked me to) and the woman completely denied it. The owner made a complete scene and all of the workers and customers began to stare at me. I felt extremely intimidated, however I stood my ground. They told me that I must be confusing them with the place next door. This is when I became extremely angry and brought up my credit card statement on my phone (ridiculous!) After this, they said they "guess they'll have to re-do them, even though they normally wouldn't because there is no guarantee." I pointed to the sign that said "Guaranteed for 2 weeks!" They simply said that they did not follow this. I told them that this was awful business. They re-did them and the same exact thing happened. They never once apologized for accusing me of lying to them. AWFUL business and I will never return. read more
