Love this place! No where else I would rather go, the people are nice and friendly. They always the best job on my nails.

I went to get waxing for my upper lip and chin area. The lady did it so harshly that she scraped my skin badly around the area of my mouth that even make- up can't cover the exposed skin and redness. Its been three days and I am still very red, it burns badly and very uncomfortable. I've been doing waxing all my life but this never happened. I just went to show them, the owner just told me put aloe vera on my skin, not even sorry or any apology. She kept saying when people have sensitive skin it happens but that's not the case, I even did waxing from the same salon multiple times. I don't want the girl who did to get into any trouble but they at least needs to take the accountability or return the money. read more

Avoid this nail salon at all costs. Owners have no idea what they are doing. And they make up prices as they see fit. Disaster

Do not go here. 1. There was a girl working there coughing or trying not to cough the entire time. She was clearly sick. She left at one point to go outside because she kept coughing, then came back with a tea. I left immediately after she came back. 2. They rushed through the entire manicure/pedicure (which was honestly fine after this girl wouldn't stop coughing in a global pandemic). Didn't even cut cuticles and barely filed nails. 3. The place was dirty. I'm talking very dirty - i saw 3 spiders behind the pedicure chair I was sitting in to my left. It looked like it had never been dusted, let alone any sort of additional cleaning we have come to expect during the pandemic. Honestly worst manicure/pedicure experience I have ever had, I had to get up and leave at one point it was so bad. Would not recommend going here with all the options around. read more

This is an EXCELLENT nail salon. The equipment is all brand new. There is a large flat screen TV, and the proprietors have a wonderful selection of music videos. It's like going to a concert while getting a mani and pedi. The complimentary massages are divine. They also have complimentary beverages, and a courteous and talented staff. If all of this wasn't enough, my favorite feature is that they actually sterilize all of their instruments and tools. I work in the dental field, and know how important sterile instruments are, especially in this day and age. At Serentity Spa in Chappaqua, you can have a wonderful and relaxing spa like experience with the peace of mind that comes with knowing everything is clean and sterile! Unfortunately, the owners/managers do not care too much about clients. My friend and I went in for a manicure the other day, very few people in there which was fine, however, it was cold in the salon which was not a good start. About 5 minutes into my manicure, one of the employees knocked a huge cup of coffee all over my purse which had been sitting on the floor! They scooped up my bag and tried to clean it off and then the owner (?) tells me I am so lucky that I have a waterproof bag! It is a nylon and leather Longchamp - not waterproof at all! Plus my leather wallet and many other items were inside getting wet and sticky :-( They apologized once, did not offer me any complimentary services and acted like it was not a big deal at all. I have been a client at Serenity Spa for over a year. I have found the quality of my manicures and pedicures to be among the best I've experienced, and I've tried nail salons in the tri-state area. The service providers are expert, friendly and considerate. The owners are more than accommodating and are extremely conscientious and welcoming. The facility is immaculate. All in all, I can't imagine a place that cares more about their clients well-being and comfort. What a disappointment!!! For my friends wedding, we were looking for a nicer place for nails rather than our regular go to spot. Upon reading the reviews on here, we decided Serenity sounded like the perfect place to get dolled for her special day. Upon arriving at the Serenity, we told the lady at the front that we had appointments for 4 mani/pedi. They instructed us to pick a color and head to the pedicure chairs. When I wasn't picking the color fast enough a man instructed me to just head to the chairs and I had to tell him I need more time. My pedicure was very fast and the tech never even asked if I wanted extra treatment for my heels, so I didn't even know if they provided it. Regardless, my friend, the bride asked for sparkle ombre and even showed them a picture!! They said they could do and picked the sparkles for her. When he was done, she told them that she wanted a little more sparkles. The gentleman then proceeded to glob on sparkles resulting in the nails looking messy and nothing like the picture. When my friend, the bride, told him she didn't like the way it looked, the man became enraged and started blaming my friend that it was her fault that it looked bad because she wanted more sparkles. The man continued to argue with my friend and when I said that regardless of who's fault it was she is unhappy and wants something else, he started talking about more money! My friend became so upset that she ended up walking out and having her nails done elsewhere. She walked out as I was drying my nails, I asked the man to come over to have a discussion about what happened and he kept talking over me! When I asked him to please let me finish what I had to say he walked away. Rude!!! Terrible business owners who made no attempt to make the customer happy. Salon clean and nice but staff are SO rude!! Only friendly to their "regulars" which I am not. I walked in and they were not busy and I asked for a pedicure. They all spoke amongst each other debating on who was gonna take me and finally the woman selected took me to the pedicure chair. She Knocked my large coffee over and gave me a dirty look. Then tried to get me to get a "spa" pedicure which are overpriced and I declined. The actual pedicure was fine but immediately after they sat me in the drying chair they demanded I pay now. No please, no moment to sit and relax, nothing. Overall I was more appalled by the rude behavior of the staff, pedicure was fine and basic for $25 but I couldn't enjoy it because of the rude vibe I was getting. read more

Rosa is the worst. She has such a horrible ATTITUDE! She was full of hot air while doing my nails. Cut them too short that they hurt. Water was way too hot and when I told her she snubbed at me. Great experience with Winney. She took her time and did a beautiful job. Reasonably priced gel manicure ($35) and they use the Shellac brand. My sister and our two friends visited here over the weekend. My sister was getting married on Sunday, and called ahead of time for reservations on Saturday for the bridal party. I needed to have my eyebrows done, and a manicure. When we walked in I said I wanted the SNS dip powder removed from my nails and a regular French manicure. Right away they started pushing me to get a gel. When I sat down Amy kept asking me what was on my nails. First of all SNS dip powder is becoming extremely well known, and second it's a quality product. She had no idea what it was or how to remove it. She asked me where I got it done, was it expensive etc. I told her it needed to be soaked off like any other gel. She took a metal scrapper and made a mess trying to get it off. It wasn't till the technician next to us told her to use a file did she get it off. I should have known then that this visit was going to be disaster. I asked for something extremely basic and they were rude and pushy. She did a nice job on my eyebrows, but I left shortly after due to the poor service I received and my sister had a worse experience. We walked out and went a few doors down to another salon... they were much friendlier and professional, and had SNS dip powder as an option. Came here for the first time to get a pedicure and I was not disappointed. I chose to have the callus treatment as well, and my feet look beautiful and feel so smooth. My pedicurist was an excellent conversationalist and made my time in here very relaxing and pleasurable. In my typical fashion, I smudged my toe a few minutes after leaving-- I came back in and had it fixed free of charge, which was so nice of them. Very sanitary and excellent work is done here. I have been coming here for more than 5 years - and even longer to their prior salon in Pleasantville. Their services have always been good. One thing that distinguishes them from others is the atmosphere - the employees seem friendly and many are there for years. So when there was a lot of press about nail salon employees being badly treated, I did not worry about this salon. I think the prices are a bit higher than some others I have been to - but worth it for the peace of mind and atmosphere. read more

Worst experience I have ever went to. I went in as a bride. They saw pictures of the nails I wanted and they said it was no problem and they could take care of me. I was the last one of our group to start the pedicure and was the first finished. The job was very rushed. During my manicure I was told I was given the best person. He was not able to the sparkle design I asked for. While I was saying I was unhappy and asking how we could change it he started telling me that he didn't charge me enough money and I owe him more. He did not care I was upset. He then became hostile by ruining my nails even more. He was not willing to start over or put any effort into it. After being told twice that I my picture of ombre sparkles would be no problem, the salon started telling me that there was no way I could expect them to do the same thing. I had to walk out crying in the middle. On top of that even though I had an appointment while all of this happened one member of my party was not yet taken to start her nails and they took other people who came in after us.
