Surcharges and convenience fees are not clearly stated or clarified in the spa or on the receipt. I'm paying $100 for a massage. I expect amazing service. I expect to unwind in a room without interruption. I don't expect an attitude from the woman who sits behind a desk and does whatever she feels to her clients then question them. Money hungry. The upsetting part was my spouse went in to talk to them about the booking and they said nothing. They did nothing to try to switch my appointment, offer a genuine apology or anything. Why offer online booking, and a confirmation if no one will actually check the bookings and confirmations. We drove 45 minutes to Pleasantville to get the treatment (I work in the area and saw it had good reviews so wanted to try it out, so we drove a distance on the weekend). So no real apology, no offering to rebook, nothing. I would've accepted the mistake and rebooked in person, but they didn't even offer that to my spouse or I. They just stared at us and said they wouldn't take me. I wouldn't even bother booking here again. Since I work in the area and all of coworkers knew I would be going here for a scalp massage, I will be sure to tell them don't bother.
