I went in for a 60 Minute foot massage, unlike in Texas, there we soak our feet in a tub of warm water while the Masseuse rubs our arms, shoulders, head (clothes on), then back to feet and calves. Flip over and head, back, shoulder, legs, feet. This was more of a full body massage with 30 minutes spent on feet and legs, I thought she was going to rub the skin off my legs. I'm not a leg person so it's "My Bad" on the outcome, I chose the incorrect massage. With that being said...Do Not Believe the website prices. I was told those are valid with an $80 membership. Since I'm only visiting, it was not justified in my book. The masseuse, Tina, was awesome. She spent the time efficiently and never made me feel uncomfortable. The place was clean and peaceful with soothing music. I started with an hour massage. The therapist was polite and friendly. Even though her English was limited, there was no problem communicating. Her massage skills were excellent. She checked with me for particular problem areas and asked along the way if things were okay. Almost an hour into the massage, she noted how knotted my muscles were (understatement) and asked if I wanted to extend the massage to fully treat the problem. I said " sure" and she completed the additional time in a quality manner. The therapist worked very hard. The cost was $70 for 75 min. That's a good value. I've had massage therapy for pushing 30 years and this experience was "hun hao." A return trip is imminent. read more

I have been going to Healthy Massage in Elmsford for at least 10 years and appreciate being able to get a massage regularly because Healthy Massage provides an affordable (no-frills) option. In the beginning I went maybe once or twice a year but this year I paid for the membership ($80) this and have gone at least twice monthly, sometimes more. With a membership, a 90 minute massage is only $65, plus tip on full price, which is unheard of in Westchester County. Rooms are simple, with soothing music, clean sheets, heaters in room, and even better - tables that heat up! I had a massage this past March in DC at newer massage place and the room was cold (especially when skin had oil on it, the table not heated, and the therapist tried to up sell hot rocks and more time, and was meanwhile dismissive when I said I was cold. Last week I had first massage of the day and the room and table heaters were not yet on which was instantly remedied when I politely mentioned it. I think every massage I've ever had there has included hot rocks, which I like but I'm the sort of person who wouldn't spend extra on myself to get them so I appreciate that they're included. You keep your underwear on and are covered with a light sheet. I've had therapists leave the door open a crack when they've gone to get hot rocks or hot towels, I think to keep noise from doors at a minimum. (Never wide open as mentioned in reviews from years ago. If that ever happened I'd just pull the sheet over me.) Sometimes you can hear street noise or other customers entering from the street entrance. I always use the side entrance which brings you directly to desk. I think usually ask to use the restroom which is at the back past the washing machines. They store supplies in the tub, but I've always found the bathroom very clean. I would describe most of the massages I've had as being deep tissue, and it's not uncommon during a longer massage to have them using their forearms, palms, and even elbows. (Every couple visits when I meet the therapist I motion to my elbow and then my buttocks. I spend a lot of time on the road and my lower back and buttocks get tight, often painfully so.). I try to let the therapist know if I like something, or if the pressure is too hard. Last week also included some scalp rubbing, and light facial massage and acupressure spots, and also some time on the muscles in my upper arms which was incredibly soothing. Healthy Massage is not for everyone. I hope that I've given a good description to help people decide if they'd like to give it a chance. read more

I have to say that initially, I was leery about trying this location. My husband and I visited a location off of Central Ave in Yonkers, where I lost time from my massage due to a lack of staffing because the masseur also doubled as front desk personnel, greeter, manager and receptionist, leaving the room about three times total, in the middle of my hour appointment. After I posted a review explaining my dissatisfaction, I was subsequently harassed on Yelp for being honest and obviously reluctant to try another location by the same name but was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. We saw a voucher, purchased two separate massages and booked our appointments. We arrived a little late, yet were greeted amicably. They did not hold our lateness against us and thus, we were able to enjoy our full hour massages. The place is small, cozy and clean. They allowed us to have a couples' massage even though we paid for separate appointments. We were ushered into the room, told to disrobe and our masseurs entered and began to work their magic. During our appointment, we had a deep tissue massage, foot reflexology, head massage and hot stone massage. They manage to include a lot in just 60 minutes. I exercise a lot and am one giant muscle knot, so when I get a massage, I prefer a man that can hurt me (not in the biblical sense...lol) but these little ladies have some strong arms and when you request a hard massage, they deliver! After my massages, I can barely walk for the following 30 minutes which means they did a bang up job. I always leave feeling loads better, sinuses stuffed and lymph drained...gross, I know but it's GREAT! I keep forgetting to take note of the girls' names that have provided me with previous muscular relief and for the most part, I think I've had a couple of different girls, never having been disappointed but for two visits ago, when we paid for a full price couples' massage and they didn't finish within the hour, so we ended up paying for an extra 30 minutes. Money well spent but when you're used to a 60 minute full body, that's what you're expecting. Another voucher deal popped up recently and we scored another couples' massage this past weekend. We received our full body, 60 minute massages and tipped generously as always. We have paid full price and we have used the voucher deals and the staff never treat us any different and even gave us and customer loyalty card. The regular prices are not at all bad. $35/half hour, $60/hour and surprisingly its cheaper to do a 60 minute couples' massage for only $110. Most places charge you more! I love Healthy Massage and when my physical lifestyle catches up to me, I always call on them when I'm in KNEAD (sry, couldn't help it). So I read most of the reviews and still decided to give it a go. The woman who gave me a "massage" ( I will come back to this later) was chewing gum the whole time. I was waiting for her to blow bubbles but she didn't. There is a strange feeling about this place. The rooms are a bit icky and there is a hand written sign that says "keep your underwear on" It should say " not only keep your underwear on but put your clothes on and get the hell out of here now." Before coming to Healthy Massage, all of the massages that I have had are deep tissue/ sports therapy massages, targeted at the painful muscle adhesions I tend to develop. These types of massages typically involve targeting "trigger point" areas, such as my lower back, shoulders, and quadriceps, where the adhesions always form. In any event, my visit to Healthy Massage was my first time having a full-body massage for relaxation purposes. It was also the first time I've had a woman climb on top of me and straddle me, but given the great massage I received, I may let it happen again. I liked that this was not one of those "weak" massages - this woman kneaded and pulled with a really firm touch. She periodically checked in with me to make sure that she wasn't hurting me at any point during the massage. An hour later, I felt any tightness in my back had dissipated and I was also super-relaxed (which rarely ever happens). The massage parlor itself is pretty simple; it is not by any means a fancy day spa. The waiting area is comfortable and clean, as are the small massage rooms. Also, some of the women who work here don't have the best English, but I suppose that communication is minimal when going for this type of service. Due to construction outside of the building where Healthy Massage is located, there were points during my massage where I was subject to listening to jackhammers and drilling noises. I know that this is no fault of the massage parlor, although having rooms that are a bit more sound-proof (I was in the first room by the entrance, so I also heard a lot of people entering/ leaving the parlor) would be a tremendous help. read more

I had the best massage from Elaine that I have ever had in my life. She used just the right amount of pressure. Once she started stepping on my back, it was amazing. My girl had magical toes. OMG I can't even start to describe how good it was. The last part was the oil massage. It was really relaxing. She rubbed and kneaded all the knots out of my back. I definitely will be returning. Upon arrival, no one greeted me and my girlfriend who drove about 40 minutes to get here, we found this place via Groupon and bought a massage for two. When we get here everyone is laying down on the beds in the back room... we proceed to giving them our Groupon and they kept insisting to pay cash... we move on to the massage phase where they took us to THE SAME ROOM THEY WERE LAYING ON THE MASSAGE BEDS!!! My girlfriend asked them to change the sheets because they were just laying on these beds. They did no hesitations... now the massage was horrible and they did not know what they were doing. It's like getting rubbed with hot oils and getting pressured in points where they did not belong... massage was rushed and not good, me and my girlfriend felt like we got beat up instead of coming out there relaxed! After the massage was done I wasn't going to tip but decided to tip each one a $5 tip, I asked for change and they said MINIMUM TIP IS $10... instead of arguing I handed over the tip and left immediately due to being so disgusted by this treatment!!! Ok, so I bought a Groupon for this place. I have mixed reviews. On the good side, the lady was nice enough (even though her English was very limited), and the massage itself was nice...she even massaged my butt cheeks (which, while unexpected, was fine lol, it wasn't weird). On the bad side, she left the room multiple times during my massage, one time to even answer the phone and proceed to be gone for at least 1-2 mins! While that may not be long, she left right in the middle of the damn massage. And, when she did leave the room, she left the door open, while my bare butt was exposed!!! It's unprofessional. Then prompted us to enter the room and lay on the same dirty sheets we asked them to change it they insisted that the sheets are clean I mentioned that they had been laying on it therefore they were not so they reluctantly change them after that they proceeded to give the worst massage ever my body hurts more now than when I entered they were unexperienced clearly. I honestly felt like this was the shadiest place I have ever come to for a massage. I made an appointment for 4 pm i came 10 min early. The man looked confused and said it would be at least a. 30 min wait. Maybe I lucked out because I avoided the service. The place looked like an old dentists office from the 1980s didn't seem clean at all and i was skeptical on the service as well and I told them i would come back and never did just to avoid an awkward situation. Perhaps the service is good enough for the price but i highly doubt it... I don't know but I think upon entering any mindful place which is supposed to give you the feeling of tranquility this one shames them. I bought a Groupon for a 45 minute massage and a 20 minute massage for only 36.00 at their spa. I thought that was a great price for that. The massage itself was good, but the reason I only gave it one star and will never go there again, was because they asked for more money for a tip. I had 3 employees come up to me and told me I had to leave 15 dollars or more for a tip!!!! I was shocked that they actually had the nerve to say that. I gave the girl a 10 dollar tip, but that was not good enough for them. They also asked me if I had more cash on me or if I had a credit card, so I could give them more money. They need to understand what the word tip means. It is very bad business to tell your client to give them more money. You should be able to tip how you like without being harassed for more money. They are lucky I did not take my money back. I will never recommend this place to anyone and if you go there make sure you give them more than a 15 dollar tip! read more

I'm writing this in hopes to spare others from spinal pain. I bought a groupon and expected a cheap, unprofessional atmosphere, but a lot of times those places give great massages. Not in this case, though. The "masseuse" was very clearly never properly trained and pressed so hard on my spine with boney elbows I woke up in pain in the middle of the night and now my whole spine is hurting. She didn't seem to know where the muscles were versus where the bones were. And she went at my neck at such a painful angle I had to ask her to use basically no pressure. I should have just asked her to stop. She left the room several times without shutting the door. And the sheets were grossly pilly and uncomfortable. I bought a groupon $40 for an hour. I am used to going to these types of massage parlors. It is not fancy, and they are not licensed masseuses but for what you pay for it is a relaxing, soothing experience. The establishment is clean. The only thing that bothered me I guess was when the lady left to get a hot towel and left the door open while half my ass was out. Someone could have seen me. Also, the towel was hot, but not hot enough to do damage. Just something to think about before putting a hot towel on someone's back. The massage itself was good. She massaged my face too which the place I used to go to never did. Nice lady, just needs to close the door behind her next time, and check the temp of the towel. I'm always on the hunt for a good but affordable massage place. The massage here was alright and the decor is bare bones. It's clear that they are renting an office building. The reason for my low rating is they have no parking (filled with cars) and where I did manage to find parking my car almost got towed. I asked them as soon as I walked in if I could park there, and they replied that they weren't sure, but then proceeded to rush me into the room. I assumed that every thing was fine since other cars were parked in the same lot that I was. Then 45 minutes into my massage, a lady from next door comes barging in saying that she's going to tow my car (I hear her loudly outside my room). The manager comes in while I'm naked underneath the towel and asks me to move my car. I hurry up and get dressed. The masseuse shows me that I have 5 minutes left on the clock of my 1 hour massage. They direct me to park my car in their lot where I block 5 other cars packed in like sardines (if they say so...). When I come back in to pay, the masseuse offers to give me a neck and shoulder massage for the remaining 5 minutes. This is nice I thought. I have to complain they didn't know how to use the credit card machine the other lady that charges had left and all 5 girls were there struggling to work it.
