Great job on my SNS manicure
Violet C.

Called on a Sunday to try and get an appointment right away and they were nice enough to accommodate me. The spa is conveniently located in a small shopping plaza across the street from DeCicco's Supermarket. They were pretty busy but took care of me in a timely manner. What really impressed me is that even though I asked for UV Gel which was going to cost $70, he recommended I get an SNS manicure to give my nails a chance to "recover" from the last few manicures that had left me in bad shape. The SNS was $45 (actually $35 for SNS and $10 for tips because my nails were in bad shape initially). I thought it was very cool of him to recommend something that was less expensive in an effort to give me something better for my situation! I took his advice and was very happy with the results!

I have been to the salon a handful of times now and I have had good experiences each time. I got SNS with extensions and a pedicure today for $75. My nail tech Tina was very very meticulous and perfected my nails I am very happy with them and I will be returning to see her soon.

Pedicure: girl rushed and was very rough-as you can see per cut on my foot. She did not open new tools. Asked if they were sterile and was told yes. I hope so. During the pedicure she picked up garbage from the floor and resumed pedicure without changing gloves. Who does tha SNS with tips: pedi girl pushed me off onto someone else eventhough I was told same person would be doing both. At first I was relieved because I figured tis one would be gentler. But no. Fingers on both hands were bleeding. I had asked at the beginning that she use a new file and drilling tool. She looked at me like I was nuts. To add insult to injury, she dug into my nails with her dirty fingernail to separate the glue from my fingers. I told her that hurt and to stop. The last straw was when she returned the steel pushing tool and nippers back into her drawer without cleaning them, which means the next person will be exposed to my blood. Thankfully I have nothing to pass along but did the person before me? I pray I don't get an infection. Contacted the owner yesterday and told him I would be coming in to show him my hands and foot. He had already seen this review so knew what to expect. He took me to the back-of course he would not like clients to hear our conversation. He looked at my foot and started to go down the road of "skin looks intact" and I asked him if he actually thought this was an acceptable pedicure. He told me I should not have done the callous remover-to which I replied that I always get callous remover when getting a pedicure. The difference is that the nail tech doesn't put her full body weight into scraping the skin off my feet. He told me I have sensitive skin. Yes, and shouldn't that have been apparent to two different employees? It felt like he was putting blame on me for errors in judgment and carelessness/disregard on the part of his staff. I have been getting manis/pedis longer than he's been alive and certainly do not need to be schooled on what to request. He reassured me the tools were sterilized and I reiterated to him that the nail girl gave me a hard time when I asked for a new file and drill piece and how she put the nippers and cuticle pusher back in her drawer after using them on me. After he went on for way too long I asked him how he was going to make this right and he asked me what I wanted. I told him I wanted my money back, which he refunded. He obviously was not pleased with my review. He should be more concerned with properly training his staff and about me getting an infection. I am so disgusted. Fingers on both hands hurt as does my foot. Just what I need when I have to cook, bake and wrap. What should have been a relaxing experience turned into something awful.

Love their cute price menu

This is by far the best nail salon around! I have been going to Nana & Jenny since they opened!…read moreDora is a newer tech and she is a great addition to their team! I am super picky with the length and shape of my nails. They know I like them sort and roundish. Also, I always get SNS - this is the best quality powder around. I've had SNS from other salons in the past and my nails would break after 2 weeks. Here, I always go 3+ weeks (and hypothetically if the nail does crack, it still stays ON, and does not fall off... but my nails have not cracked in over a year!). The color variety is awesome too! Some colors are really fun and glow in a black light! (See my attached pictures for all my fun colors over the years!) The pedicures are always very relaxing and they recently started with a hot stone at the end! It's an amazing extra! If you're in need of a massage, see Dora! She finds the spot and really works it out! I've had man knots in my neck and she gets them out every single time!!! If you're trying them for the first time, tell Nana I said Hi!!! (Say it's the Jennifer who lost a lot of weight!! She will know!!)

They keep the place very clean and the music is relaxing, of course. More importantly though, each of the employees try their best to satisfy each customer- any time I ask them to make a change (I am very picky!!) they oblige and do an amazing job. This is just some of the wonderful work they've done on my nails :) I always ask for different designs and like to challenge them, and they're always up for it and willing to try. I know in the past they've accepted walk-ins, but now with how everything's been set up because of COVID, they've had to start requesting appts. This does NOT take away from their work- just call ahead of time and see if they can squeeze you in or make an appt in advance!! Thanks ladies!!

If I could give less than one (1) star I would. New owners. Mandy please come back and run this…read moreplace properly. Rude, unprofessional place now. No welcome greeting when walk in, No smiles from anybody. The staff is talking loudly from across tables. Cannot hear music- not calming, relaxing experience. They believe that talking on the cell phone on speakerphone loudly or listing to videos in another language- while doing the clients nails is acceptable. I told my nail person that i would like to have some quiet and listen to the music. That was after at least 10-15 min. of a loud conversation on speaker phone. He was insulted and amazed that I dare ask him to end the conversation. He rudely got up and left the store. I was told to wait for another nail person to be free. I waited again- for a significantly long time- because at that point my polish was removed and my nails were raw. Finally, Anette finished my nails. She did a horrible job. Never did she offer a smile- an apology- anything. She continually was talking high volume to the surrounding tables the entire time. My nails are sharp and I can scratch myself leaving marks on my skin. All new staff here. Avoid going. Not friendly - Not professional- Totally rude staff. There are too many nail salons in this area. The only thing (Besides cleanliness) to me with choosing a salon is CUSTOMER Service- and obviously they have none. Go somewhere you get a smile and a welcome. And they do not perform a customary "Light back/shoulder" massage afterwards. Which every other nail salon I have ever gone to has done. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The new owners have no clue how to treat people with respect and curtesy. The customer is always right- Even with the language barrier - They should learn to treat people with respect. The place is always empty now- didn't need any appointment. Old owners knew how to treat people. No respect- No professionalism- No business. Be forewarned. Find another salon who will treat people better. Do not give them your business.

To be honest, it didn't look like much from the outside, so I read a Yelp review which described how clean the instruments are. And they are! The instruments were in their own sanitized sealed bag which the nail tech opened just for me! And on top of that my nails were super short and I asked her for an oval shape so they would appear a little longer. She went above and beyond and really made my nails look tapered and fabulous! I've gotten so many compliments on this manicure - more than I ever have for any other French manicure I've ever gotten. My nail tech was from Ecuador and she was awesome!
