I was 45 minutes early to my son's game at Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak and happened to be parked facing Cozy Nails. To be honest, it didn't look like much from the outside, so I read a Yelp review which described how clean the instruments are. And they are! The instruments were in their own sanitized sealed bag which the nail tech opened just for me! And on top of that my nails were super short and I asked her for an oval shape so they would appear a little longer. She went above and beyond and really made my nails look tapered and fabulous! I tried Cozy Nail Salon today and was so happy at the service, atmosphere, staff and safety protocols. I highly reccomend it!

I used to like their work and service but last couple of times I've been there they are rushing the work not paying attention to what they are doing and messing the nails. 3 times already ended having to go somewhere else to get the nails fixed and done properly, you may ask why go somewhere else because I got tired of pointing out over and over what needed to be fix and corrected and still they did it wrong and started giving me an attitude. A month ago I got a pedicure and short gel tips which cost me $110. I thought it was very expensive but I did like them. 4 days later, 2 nails come off. They did fix them for me with no issue and I appreciated that. However, I decided to go back for a pedicure and gel manicure a few weeks later. I was shocked again to find out that it was $71 not including tip. I pay and when I go outside, I see the quality of my manicure is not one that was worth apparently $35. I actually just became really upset even tho they did offer to fix it but why would you charge $35 for a manicure if you don't intend on filing down my nails properly?! After a long day at the library and furiously typing away/ banging on my keyboard in frustration (Windows 7 crashes more gracefully than Vista), I was in dire need of a manicure. I originally came to Cozy Nails to get a standard manicure, but the owner talked me into getting a UV Gel manicure. I was sold when she told me that the polish will not chip for 2 weeks. To have my steadfast color of choice, Lincoln Park After Dark, not chip for two weeks was too good to be true. And so I caved. Wow, was this woman meticulous. Even though she had a few customers waiting, she took her time with me and made sure each layer was evenly applied and had ample time to dry. The result: a perfect manicure that took OVER two weeks to grow out and chip away! Best of all, it only set me back $35 all in, which is fairly reasonable for UV manicures. In case dark colors aren't your thing, Cozy Nails has a whole spectrum of UV gel colors, as well as standard OPI and Essie polishes. Pluses: Extremely relaxing experience, usually quiet and not busy, the techs take your time on you and won't turn you away if you show up a few minutes before they close. They are reasonably priced for what they offer, and use products that are high quality. Minuses: They have a million types of spa pedicures to choose from and although I sometimes would like to have one, there are too many choices - I get overwhelmed and can't make a decision so I end up getting a regular pedicure every single time. Also, my manicures/pedicures ALWAYS chip two days later - I came here three times and the same thing happened each time. This place would probably be my go-to nail salon if the polish lasted longer than two days. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I have never been cut so many times from a nail specialist. At first the new girl was taking care of me and she was doing an excellent job until the woman, who seemed to be the owner, rudely told her to move aside and started working on my nails herself. I was then butchered. It wasn't until several hours later I had swollen, pussing cuticles that I had to ice with embarrassment because my nails seemed to have been infected. GROSS! Their service and attitude sucks to both to the consumer and their employees. NEVER GO HERE. read more

Cozy nails was the first place I ever got my nails done at. When I first got there it was empty and quiet. Which was fine. I got my nails done and then I got a flower on them. They did a good job but they took a long time to do it. The flower was not so well done though. The next time I went there about 1 year later, when we came in there were 2 people getting there nails done and no one there to greet us. Only a man doing someone else's nails just looked at us and was trying to hurry with the women's nails he was doing. So not so friendly, not so relaxing and slow and sloppy. But the price was good. This place is terrible! I went there for a gel FILL and they ended up removing all of the gel that was already on my nails and, in the process, sawed my nails down so much that it was painful! After I explained their mistake, I was told that it was too late and I would need to come back the following day. They then proceeded to CHARGE me for removing my wraps. When I said that I shouldn't be charged for something I didn't ask for, the woman (I think she was the owner) was extremely rude and acted like she couldn't be bothered. I always thought it was customary (and good business) for the nail technicians to finish the job they started and not kick the client out because it was "getting late" (they were still open and taking customers) especially, if it's their fault! I had to leave there with paper thin, disgusting nails. The male owner was the only one that apologized for his mistake and insisted that I come back the following day so they could "fix" my nails. I've been coming here for about 7 years now. We'll not anymore. Just got a manicure Friday and Saturday all of my nails chipped just from taking a shower. Went back Sunday and asked to have them repainted. This is not the first time this has happened at this place. Got them repainted yesterday and what do you know they're all chopping again! I'm not sure what is causing this, when I get a manicure near my job it lasts a whole week. They're always changing people. While I was there yesterday one of the girls who doesn't speak any English only Spanish was doing a gel manicure and had to be told step by step what to do. It needed to be redone when she was finished because it wasn't right. How do you even allow this to happen? A few weeks ago I stopped in for an overdue pedicure and the nail polish just looks like it's cracking. I always tip them we'll because I know that's how they make their money, but not even a massage while your nails are drying? Nice people, but the quality has really gone down. I'll continue going to Arcadian nails in Ossining by my job. Their manicures last and they give you a 10 minute massage while your nails are drying. read more
