This is by far the best nail salon around! I have been going to Nana & Jenny since they opened! Dora is a newer tech and she is a great addition to their team! I am super picky with the length and shape of my nails. They know I like them sort and roundish. Also, I always get SNS - this is the best quality powder around. I've had SNS from other salons in the past and my nails would break after 2 weeks. Here, I always go 3+ weeks (and hypothetically if the nail does crack, it still stays ON, and does not fall off... but my nails have not cracked in over a year!). The color variety is awesome too! Some colors are really fun and glow in a black light! (See my attached pictures for all my fun colors over the years!) The pedicures are always very relaxing and they recently started with a hot stone at the end! It's an amazing extra! If you're in need of a massage, see Dora! She finds the spot and really works it out! I've had man knots in my neck and she gets them out every single time!!! If you're trying them for the first time, tell Nana I said Hi!!! (Say it's the Jennifer who lost a lot of weight!! She will know!!) read more

Have been coming to Oak Nail for years. I was surprised when I came in one day and saw new management, but the new team is wonderful. They keep the place very clean and the music is relaxing, of course. More importantly though, each of the employees try their best to satisfy each customer- any time I ask them to make a change (I am very picky!!) they oblige and do an amazing job. This is just some of the wonderful work they've done on my nails :) I always ask for different designs and like to challenge them, and they're always up for it and willing to try. I know in the past they've accepted walk-ins, but now with how everything's been set up because of COVID, they've had to start requesting appts. This does NOT take away from their work- just call ahead of time and see if they can squeeze you in or make an appt in advance!! Thanks ladies!! read more

Wonderful pampering pedicure. My feet are the best part of me. I look and feel wonderful. Best pedicure ever.

I have been going here since I moved to Shrub Oak. Nana and the team always do a great job on my manicure. I can't recommend more!

This review is hard for me. This is the second review I've ever left. But I've been thinking about it ever since I was at the nail salon today. They do a really good job very fast, but the owner definitely has an attitude. As soon as I walk in, there is no greeting no hello how are you? How can I help you? Literally nothing, I don't even get looked at. She just points to the chair to sit in. So.. very rude ...but if you want to get the job done & quick then I'll recommend. read more

Was able to sneak in a last minute visit without an appointment for a gel manicure. Haven't had my nails done in a long time but wanted some artwork. They kindly obliged! Very happy with the result. read more

We had 5:30 PM appointments for two pedicures. Took us right away, didn't pressure us to choose an extensive or expensive pedicure. Good choice of nail color; very clean. Received a quick massage while we were drying lots of parking. Overall very good experience read more

Wow! This was my first time here. I got a gel pedicure and SNS on my fingers. I am so impressed by their attention to detail and willingness to do what I asked. Jenny did my pedicure and she was wonderful! Pinky did my nails and she was so thorough. I'll definitely be back read more

I love this nail salon. I used to go somewhere on Rt 6, which is also nice but more like a factory. You're in and out very quickly, and I didn't find they provided the kind of TLC I found here at Oak Nail. I highly recommend them. My manicure lasts longer since they take the appropriate amount of time. read more

Oak Nail Spa is incredible!! I have been going to them for years. Nana and the girls are so talented and can do just about any design. My daughter Katelyn and I highly recommend Oak Nail Spa! read more

I went in on a Sunday for an SNS manicure and was happy to see that I could get an appointment right away. They looked busy when I came in, but they took me within 5 minutes. The soaking part took about 45 minutes, which I think is a long time, but I guess that's the way SNS goes. I like that it's a little better than sitting under a UV light though! I was initially a little concerned as they kept switching me around to different people, but the woman who ultimately did my SNS manicure did a nice job. I was worried that she might have left it too thin, but 5 days later it's still holding on so I have high hopes! Maybe being a little thinner means it will come off easier next time too! Loved the color too. read more

Not a very pleasant experience, got a manicure that was 3 minutes and had to rub the lotion on my hands myself. The pedicure was fine but the extra price for the spa pedicure wasn't anything special... wasn't worth the price for the lack of service i received. read more

First time I came here not sure I will be back. Nails came out great but I called Sunday and they told me 45 for SNS with tips. I confirmed the price when I came in today for my apt. They rushed thru my nails to leave at 7 when they closed and then they tried to charge me an extra 3.00 for being a new client. They don't have this posted ANYWHERE in the salon and I specifically said I'm new here never been here before. She didn't charge me the 3.00 but said she would charge me 6.00 extra next time!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a good first impression read more

Don't bother coming here. I recently moved to the area from NYC and the place literally had only two people inside and would not take me for a simple manicure and pedicure. It was 4:30 on a Friday and they told me no way please leave! I lived in Manhattan for over 5 years and maybe have been spoiled with nail places who never turned me away! The yelp says "walk in welcomed" but that is Not true! I get we are in a pandemic but if the site said appointments only I would have definitely walked away. I went to one up by the Dunkin and they took me with no problem. read more

Great service and quick manicure! I walked in and was seated right away. Vicky and the employees here are super nice and professional. They pay attention to details and are gentle with your nails and skin. Vicky gave me health tips while she did the SNS powder manicure for me, and was overall friendly and complimentary. I did not see one employee on a phone or distracted doing anything but waiting on customers, and it's rare to see such good customer service. Also, some salons will straight up ask for tips and they did NOT do that here -- Vicky thanked me profusely when I did of course give her a tip. The salon itself is nice and clean, including the restroom. It was not smelly or stuffy as they kept it aired out, and I'm someone who's sensitive to chemical fumes. They also have a nice display and samples for polishes and powder colors, so it's easy to choose what you want. I will definitely be going back to the Oak Nail Spa, and will request Vicky to do my nails again because she is truly a pro. When you go, make sure you get a business card because you will earn a free service after 10 visits to the salon. read more

Absolutely love coming here! Followed Nana since she left her old place and took over. First time she did my nails, i won't go or trust anyone else with my nails! It is now the New Oak Nail Salon In Shrub Oak ---I have been going to this nail salon for 3 years since I moved here. Well the new owners are not very nice. I was having SNS gel removed and a pedicure. After an hour of having remover and foil on my nails they look horrible. They didn't even file them. I complained that I was sitting for an hour with this stuff on and it still didn't work. Some of my nails still had polish on them. They told me if I would have filed them down before it would have been easier to take off. Well, that's what the people that owned this salon before did for me and very pleasantly I might add. I will never go back there and they have a negative attitude and are very rude ! This was far from a relaxing experience for me ! read more

Amazing!! They actually care for your nails. Minimally file before soaking! Takes longer to soak but it keeps your nail bed in tact, and nails strong and healthy. A pedicure while soaking made my experience that much more pleasurable. Nana and her staff were professional and super kind! New owner is great, a local mom and needs our support! Extra bonus is matching polish to their SNS powder! I will be back! read more

I called last minute over a holiday weekend asking if they had any availability for a pedicure and full set acrylic fill. I had called other places that just hung up on me. Oak nails were very sweet on the phone and told me to come right in. First off- massage chairs are amazing! Very clean and up to date, they took their time to massage my legs and feet and were not rushing. An older woman was there getting a pedicure and manicure was not feeling well- they all attended to her and got her water and candy and made sure multiple times she was okay! My nails came out just like the photo I showed them, and I can't believe I didn't Find this hidden gem sooner! They even gave me discount cards for next visit, and the prices were great! I am very picky and will never go anywhere else! read more

I absolutely love this nail spa!! Very professional and friendly service. Nana and Pinky are the best! The shop is clean, the music is relaxing, everyone is cautious about safety - masks are worn and the shop is never over full. The pedicures are divine and the SNS is to be rivaled. I've been going here for over 5 years and I have never been disappointed. You have to visit, you won't be sorry!! read more

Although the outside of the salon says "Oak Nail" the business cards say "Fancy Nail Salon" with "Oak Nail" in parenthesis. Confusing much? I got a mani/pedi here - and had two different technicians for each. I hate it when that happens because tipping gets way confusing! Anyway! The male technician I had for my pedicure was very meticulous and really took his time. It started to get crowded because a group of little girls were all getting manicures for one little girl's birthday. Only in Westchester, people. Long story short, my manicurist was in quite a hurry to get me in and out of there. She was very nice though. 3 days later and my manicure is showing faint signs of chipping - I guess it could be worse. The color selection was kind of "meh" though, but they are open on Sundays which is a plus. Snag a business card for the come 10 times, get a free manicure deal. Mani/pedi is $20 during the week and $25 on the weekends. 3.5 stars. I will be back! read more

I have gone here a few times, but, it this is not the greatest salon. I don't know why they keep switching you to different people - it is very annoying. Who the heck do you give the tip to at the end..lol Anyway, okay if in a pinch, but, not the most relaxing atmosphere read more

Oak Nail Spa is fantastic. Nana has been doing my nails for 7 years and I recently followed her to Oak Nail Spa when she took it over. The staff is friendly and the salon is clean and sanitary. My SNS powder gel lasts for at least 3 weeks and looks beautiful the entire time. My pedicure lasts that long as well. I highly recommend this nail salon! read more

Impressed with how clean the salon is! Called the day before and got an appointment with Vicky who was wonderful. It's very busy so make sure to make an appointment before you go. New owner. Nana was very nice and friendly. Place is kept clean. I didn't have an appt so I walked in and they took me right away. I did a SNS gel and it looks good. She did take her time. Let's see if it will last the 3 weeks. Price the norm as everywhere else. read more

Overall good experience. I called ahead and they said they could take me for a regular manicure...you can't assume every salon takes walk ins. Love this nail salon! All staff members are friendly, salon is very clean. They give the best pedicures ! Never had a complaint about the gel manicures, lots of colors to choose from. They really fixed this place up since the last time I was in (2 years ago). Clean, friendly staff, fast service. Like any other nail salon, you don't want to be here when they're busy. Otherwise, great prices for the service. It's hard to turn down $20 mani/pedi! Bringing your own polish is best, b/c your polished hands will chip within a few days. read more
