horrible!! after being a customer at this nail salon for years, I was treated terribly by Anita. my appointment was at 11am and I didn't get taken 11:20. I had a lunch date with a friend at 12noon, expressed it to them several times. I said I could come in tomorrow and I was insulted by Anita. Ani is going to lose that business treating people that way. Anita you need take a Hospitality course on how to treat your customers. No one was there!!!! In between he did have to touch up another woman's nails and that's okay. But he was all stressed it and. breathing heavily which made me uncomfortable. I've been going to this place for the past 5 years but this year they changed management and the people and head manager are all about the money! I ask for a pedicure and they wanted to talk me into the more expensive type of pedicure, and again, I had to tell them just a plain pedicure. The girl that did my toes cut me and my toe started to bleed, so instead of stopping the bleeding, she immediately put that foot back in the water. There was still blood on the towel. After she finished, the boss/manager told me its 28 plus 5 dollars extra for the girl having to use the grinder on my toes? Then he ask me after he charged me 33.00, he said no tip for the girl? For a basic quick gel pedicure and SNS I was charged $83 and an extra $20 for "gel", and this was after their 20% off promotion. I had been going to this salon since 2005. The owner, Kris, and ladies were professional and kind. Maria and Lisa were my go to for pedicures. They are absolutely amazing and generous with massages! However in the past year there has been new management. The owner, Andy, is extremely unprofessional. Under his management, he has pushed the previously employed, hard working ladies out. When I call to make an appointment for Maria, Lisa or Jenny, he is sure to pencil me in. However, anytime I show up for my scheduled appointment, they are "ill". He does not call ahead to let his clients know and often lies. I find this inconsiderate. I would tell many to go to other neighboring nail salons as the ladies have moved on to other businesses in the area. I will no longer go to Alice nails. I have usually gone to Lina's or One Up to get my nails done, but I went to get my UV gel nails removed here because the online price said only $8. It was a Sunday morning and the guy made me wait about 10 min and said it was $10 ($2 more, no big deal). Then, he electrically filed down the top of my nails, telling me that it won't come off by soaking them in acetone (when I've had it done this way before, so I was suspicious). I said "ow" once, so he switched to using a metro card to pry under the gel, telling me if it hurts to let him know. 3 nails in, it did so I let him know like he told me to do. He then stopped and said I would just have to cut them myself and let them grow out, or go back to Lina's nail salon to have them removed. At that point, he had only worked on 1 hand, which was already cut and filed in every direction. He then stood up, and went back to the person he was working on before me. Had I known he would have completely messed up an entire hand, I would have never gone in because my nails looked as perfect as they did on day 1 when I walked in (which he even complimented me on), but they were just too long after having them on for a month, so I wanted my natural nails back. But after letting him work on my nails, I was left with a complete hack job. I could not believe he let me walk out that way! It looked absolutely DISGUSTING! I will NEVER go back there again. And don't recommend them to ANYONE. Other salons in the area are infinitely better and much less pricey. read more

Way over priced in my opinion. I went in for fills and was told I really needed a full set. I went along with that, even though I should have known better when I saw no prices posted for UV gel (which they assumed I needed too). When she was done and told me $90 I was stunned! Alice Nail used to be my go to spot for nails, however it seems as though they are under new management that is not doing a very good job. When you make an appointment ahead of time, they don't even honor it. We showed up and didn't get worked on until 30 minutes after our appointment that we set 2 weeks ahead of time. The prices have gone up a lot and you're getting significantly less for your money. Barely any massage at all for a pedicure, didn't clean up my cuticles or dead skin around my fingers for my manicure, etc. Unprofessional, and far too pricey for the nail service that you get. read more

This is an extremely clean and welcoming nail salon. Some nail techs are WAY better than others. Joy is wonderful, some others are not great. There is one person there who seeks to be in training. She takes her time, but the polish always chips. I always go back and they fix it for free. What needs to be noted here is that you get a free massage while you're getting your nails done. The massage lady rubs oil on your back, neck and arms and it's amazing. If you get lucky and go there on a slow day, she may do it for 20 minutes! I always pay her for an extra ten minutes. I've even considered going back just for a massage. This is an expensive salon for sure, but since the massage is included I think it's worth it! read more

Ugh, so the last few times I've gone, my manicure has chipped in 2 days. That, and I got my little toe cut while the girl was clipping my cuticiles. I'm praying that it doesn't get infected because it stings horribly! I also don't like that I'm asked if I want to get my eyebrows waxed, when it's kind of obvious that I just had them done during the week. Went there on a Saturday at 3pm. There were 3 of us, all wanting pedicures & 2 of us wanted full sets. The owner, who was sitting getting a massage, told us no to the full sets just pedicures. They were not busy. We really needed the pedicures so we agreed. The pedicures were amazing. Glad we did it. Still no one came in and the other manicurists were sitting down looking at their phones. Still don't know why we couldn't get the full sets. They closed at 7. When we left there was only 1 other customer there getting a pedicure. We won't go back. Once upon a time I used to love this place. The service was great, the staff friendly and professional and my nails looked great. Sadly, this is no longer the case. On my last and final visit to this salon, I very nearly punched my technician in the face. Well, not really, but I was close! Every single time I go there, I am told I need some very expensive addition to whatever service I am getting. When I decline, I am met with a face of absolute disgust as if I had denied a small child a life saving surgery. Last time I went to get a powder and glue fill. Sue, the technician informed me that I would require an entirely new set of nails which meant I would have to sit and soak off my current nails in a big pool of chemicals for ohh about 12 or so hours ( joking..about 20 minutes). After my chemical bath, I informed Sue that I actually didn't want a new set since my nails had grown so much. I decided to just do a manicure. Sue tells me my nails are not strong enough. I disagreed, and told her I would take the risk. She disagreed and insisted I get a new set of nails put on. We bicker back and forth for what seems like a month, before I put my foot down and tell her I do not want what she is offering and I just want a manicure. She obliges. Sometime during this manicure I zone out while watching the subtitles of some overrated chick flick they have playing on the T.V. and Sue goes to get my check. She went ahead and gave me a full new set and charged me for it. Now, I know what you are thinking. How did I not notice? All I can say is that I was exhausted and distracted and I could not have made it any more clear. I paid the full amount because frankly, the manicure fight took all the energy I had to offer. Now, two weeks later and time for a fill, I went to a more upscale salon. One look at my nails and they were horrified. They were able to peel this "brand new set" of nails completely off. Love this place! Always get a great pedicure even when they are busy. I never feel rushed. Their massage while you are drying is unbeatable! They use new files, buffers, etc every client. I wish they would run cleaner through the jets after every client but they do disinfect the tub every time. I only found 1 place that runs cleaner through the jets. read more

In the last year..they tack on extra $$ for services that should be included..such as using the razor in a callous removal pedicure without telling you that they are charging $5.00 extra..the gel manicures chip within 2 days and polish is on my cuticles. the pedicure was good. until she was a little too agressive with the callous removal on my pinky toe and left a raw spot, and stabbed me a couple of times with that sharp tool covered with cotton and remover. but that wasnt too bad. overall the pedicure was acceptable. the manicure was rushed and sloppy. the polish was applied way too thickly, and therefore didnt dry well, it looks lumpy. and she got polish on my finger and cuticle, and it looks like she tried to get some off, and smeared it up under my nail. so it all still there. still left polish on my cuticle and on my fingertip. The first time i was there, it was much better, but i didnt have the same tech this time. overall, I will probably find another salon. read more

Took my daughter who is 15 years old to get GEL nails. The woman suggested to us she should have the UV nails done because it's better and would cause less damage to her nails. I said 'ok' thinking this was a better option. Never once did she mention it would cost $90.00. So I was stuck paying $90 for these 'better' gel nails that all come off in a week. I have been coming to Alice Nail for 6 years! Kris (Owner) and Paula (Manager) are wonderful Owners. I do have my favorite technicians but in all honesty every girl in there does a great job. I prefer Maria for my eyebrows and waxing, Jenny does a fantastic massage, and Lisa is a sweet girl who can make you laugh. The prices are high I think compared to other local nail salons but you can't beat the quality. My pedicures are always flawless and my gel manicures stay on for two weeks almost with no chipping. Because I have come here for so many years I am familiar with the staff. However if you have never been before, you will be treated the same way.
