I came here after following them on instagram for over a year. I wanted a full set of builder gel nails. I asked if I should come back or could they take me that day. Either was fine with me, but I was told they could take me right then. The women who worked on me never spoke a word to me, she seemed annoyed I was there. Each one of my nails was a different length and I kept asking if she could make them a little shorter but she ignored me. They were so thick! Each nails had chips on the French that was applied. I paid $75. I was so upset. I then go to have them taken off a few weeks later (somewhere else) and there is like green mark on my nail I have never had before. Also, she told me to wash my hands, I turned around to go back to sit with her, thinking I would lotion and then get up and pay. There was someone already in my seat. The first time I went to Lina's Nails I had a bad experience, but I decided to give them another chance because I had a gift card to use. The gift card clearly stated "no expiration date" (it literally said "none" in their writing). When I went to pay, they told me the gift card had expired. I showed them that it said "no expiration date," but they still refused to accept it and insisted I pay. This was absolutely ridiculous considering money had already been spent on that gift card. I didn't have cash on me, so I paid with my credit card and they even charged me extra for using it. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service, definitely not going back!! read more

I got my nails done here and the next day they were all cracked and breaking off. Absolutely horrible. I called and let them know and they told me there's nothing they can do about it. Absolutely horrible. Waste of money and time. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. And I've worked in the nail industry. I went there today for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I used a gift certificate that I had gotten for Christmas. I sat down in the pedicure chair and right away asked the girl if they could just start my gel manicure while I was in the pedicure chair. I've done this quite often, and most places have been OK with it. I just don't have the attention span to sit through both. I asked the girl and she nodded her head and said gel and kept going. A few minutes later I asked her again. The nodding continued. A few minutes later I asked again. Still the same. At this point she's starting to paint my toenails. So I ask again strongly and ask if there's someone who speaks English. She got up and walked around and finally brought the owner over who explained they don't do that. There are no machines there. Which of course I know but just to get started with soaking and the filing is not a big deal. And this is all if someone is free to do it. If they don't have anybody available, that's fine. I should also mention, the girl doing my nails and the girl next to her doing nails we're both on the phone. Literally on their cell phones no earbuds or anything, chatting away. I thought that was very unprofessional. So now I'm ready for my gel manicure and I asked her not to file them too short. I was getting a French gel. There she goes filing away. I had finally grown them a bit longer and wanted to keep the thanks. She just completely ignored me or didn't understand me. I was very upset. After the incident of me asking to do the manicure at the same time the two girls that were working on me and next to me started talking in Spanish and laughing. Very very rude. I also asked her for a soft square I don't like the harsh edges on my manicure. Again completely ignored me. I am tired of people using the language barrier to excuse bad behavior or to get services that were never asked for. I had this similar experience once before. And I'm tired of it. If I moved to Mexico, I would learn to speak their language. if you're going to live in the United States, our language is English. Why can't they be bothered to learn that? There was a middle-age guy doing this young girls nails, and I noticed she went back to his station to tip him when he was done and he barely looked at it just shoved it in his pocket and didn't even say thank you. We need to have better expectations for people who don't speak the language. Learn it! My grandparents learned it. They just seem so entitled and I've had it. I will never go back there. And I will search to try and find an English woman to do my nails from here on out. read more

I previously really liked this place because they were quick, inexpensive and did a pretty good job depending on the nail technician but I will never be returning after my last experience. Firstly, I want to mention that I am not someone who comes in, spends the bare minimum for a mani pedi and then leaves...I spent between $125-180 every single month and was treated horribly by Lina for asking about a color, or a design, or any request. I even overheard her talking poorly about me to a CUSTOMER when I was literally tipping her and her staff 20% on my service. I felt so horrible after leaving, it made me really upset. ALSO, my nail broke off 4 days after getting my nails done, I went back, was ignored by Lina and then they charged me $10 for one nail when an entire full set is $55. Unbelievable. I honestly feel bad writing this because I never want to speak poorly about a business but I'm hoping this review will have the owner Lina realize she needs to treat her customers with more respect and understanding. I'm here in support of your business, coming back every month and I don't deserve to be treated like crap. The customer service is lacking and it shows based on the other reviews too...this would be a great spot if the customers spending money at her business were actually treated nicely. It's a bummer because I really wanted to love this place and I had been religiously going for the last 7 months but I'll never return. Lost a loyal customer over something that can easily be fixed. Lina's dad did my nails. First off I made an appointment for UV gel... Lina asked if I wanted acrylic and I said no. Linas dad then took out the box of tips and I said no, I don't want acrylics. Lina told me they were not tips it's UV gel. I've gotten UV gel before and they've never used tips. I figured maybe they just did it diff and I could use some length on my nails. I picked out a color and when they put it on it was extremely neon and bright compared to the sample I chose so I asked if we could do something else. I've always loved chrome (I've gotten it before, elsewhere) so I decided to try that. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and I noticed I could see my nail under the light pink but thought maybe in diff lighting it wouldn't look as bad. When I got out in the natural light I noticed that you can not only see my nail but the acrylic or "tips" took on a yellowish color. Usually I'd suck it up but I had just payed $65 for this so I went back in and apologized saying I didn't want to be a pain but it seems to look a little yellow. Lina looked and me and laughed and said "it's not yellow." I said, "you don't think so?" She goes, "no that's chrome they're not yellow" and proceeded to pick up her phone and ignore me while I sat right in front of her. So I said ok thanks and walked out. Wish I could give this place 0 stars. I have been to linas a numerous times and while the work is decent, it is not at all worth the horrible service that I have been given on many occasions. I have had honey and lina do my nails multiple times each and both were very rude and got unusually upset when I asked for something to be fixed (a crooked nail, splochy polishing, etc.) I do not think my requests were unreasonable considering they are my nails and I am the one that has to look at them, but I was instantly met with attitude and they would immediately start speaking in chinese as if it is not clear that they are talking about me. (I promise thats not a race thing, I myself am part asian, I just thought that was extremely rude). My latest interaction with lina was by far the worst and I will not be returning because of it. I had an appointment for 8:00 am, so I arrived at 7:57 to be safe only to find that the shop was closed and the lights were off and the hours stated on the door that they open at 9:00 am, so I assumed there was a mistake with the booking. I waited until 8:00 to be sure that there was no one there and then left and called their number, to which there was no answer. I called a few minutes later just to be sure, and lina answered. I explained the situation and she instantly blamed me and told me I should have waited because she was only a few minutes late. (which i had no way of knowing because i was not contacted at all) I tried to explain to her that I could not wait and that if my appointment is at 8:00, I expect to be starting at 8 and not waiting for her to get there. She was extremely condescending, unprofessional and unaccommodating about the situation and eventually hung up on me because I was requesting that I come in just 15 mins after my appointment time, which once again I do not think is an unreasonable request considering she was the one that was late. read more

Honestly I don't think they deserve any stars! I went in to get a fill in with just a light pink polish, coffin shaped. (Showed the nail tech Kenny a picture), asked if they could fulfill my request and he told me yes. I was seated with Kenny, as he was drilling my nails he got too close to my cuticle and scraped my skin. Then I asked for more acrylic on my nails because they were too thin then he shouted "OK!" with an aggressive attitude. Now we're at him painting my nails with the light pink polish and I can see my real nails, so I asked Kenny if he could apply a few more coats so I won't see my real nail. And he stared at me like I had five heads and proceeded to take the polish off then looked around for Lina. Then she approached and said he could not do that because he didn't put pink acrylic powder for the base. All I asked for was a few more coats of polish and they refused to do it saying he could only apply two coats. Lina asked "what did I want to do, could I pick another color?" I said I just want this pink polish with more than two coats. At this point I'm upset because they can't fulfill what I want and then threatens to call the cops because I'm not paying for a service that they did NOT do!! I honestly feel the complexion of my skin played a part in the way I was treated and I've heard from other people who have went there that they've been treated the same. Deserves ZERO stars!! First visit here and my gel polish was removed by drill making my nails very thin and weak. Second visit as a walk in and I'm seated with a male tech. He initially told me he could do service I asked for but half way through I realized he couldnt understand what I had even asked for and just yes me. Owner of salon should be professional and translate for customers, (male tech is her relative) instead they just say yes to whatever you request just to say oh no we don't do that....by then it's too late cause your 9 fingers deep in acrylic. Techs skills suck! In addition to cutting me with file twice, shape was crooked on 3 fingers, got attitude when I pointed it out. It's pretty obvious he didn't go into this line of work because he has a passion for it, and that's not the kind of person I want doing my nails....Will never go back! read more
