The service and atmosphere were outstanding. We were seated in a corner booth for our anniversary, and greeted accordingly. We ordered the tenderloin tartare that could have been more flavorful (grass-fed). The Toad in a Hole salad that was an amazing blend of flavors! The Duroc Pork Shank that was a tasty Korean mix, but the fish XO sauce was very over powering and so without it the bao bun sandwich was left a bit dry. The Capellini Nero was very tasty and exotic. Probably a little to exotic of a color for my fiancée. We would definitely return for a steak and seafood feast with lots of wine when we can afford it! read more

This place use to be in my top 3 restaurants in Fort worth in 2019 but my dinner and service tonight was subpar. The wait time for my party of three was way too long ! Apparently they will not serve your entry until after you finish your appetizer!?! ( Just my observation as we did not get our entree until after we flagged down our waitress) My friends and I got there around 5pm ordered around 5:30 ( appetizer and entree) but did not receive our entree until like 6:45. And it was not at all busy. The mashed potatoes were too creamy, my filet was over cooked and my cookie I ordered for dessert was salty and overcooked. The only positive was that the waitress was nice and knowledgeable. Maybe this was a bad day but I will not recommend this place anymore :/ read more

I feel bad writing a bad review about Grace because it seems like a nice restaurant. My wife and I went there and had drinks in the bar before being seated. The bartender and drinks were wonderful. As soon as we got seate for dinner, I could tell that there were problems with our the service. Our waitress was a nice young lady, but everything took a lot of time and we always seemed to have lengthy periods of time between her visits. Drinks took a while and bread service (which I finally had to request) didn't come until after our first course arrived. That was over 20 minutes of sitting with nothing. We both had French onion soup which was delicious, but didn't finish all because we were saving room for all the food we ordered for our main course. That was a mistake since we sat for over 15 minutes wondering where our waitress was and our food. After 20 minutes, I asked the hostess to cancel our order. I believe that when you're spending over $200 for dinner, there needs to be a certain rhythm with the service. They were obviously overwhelmed and were busy with big parties at our sacrifice. The manager, Addison, was incredibly rude. He didn't ask for anything other than to place the bill on the table and walk off without any explanation or apology. Our waitress was sweet and said they were super busy and felt sorry. I'm sure it's a good restaurant, but I expect better service at a high end restaurant and don't want to spend all evening looking over my shoulder for our food and drink. read more

Had high expectations for this restaurant and it definitely met them. Drinks and foods were great! We ordered the Crispy Fried Oysters for the appetizer and it was delicious. My husband ordered the Prime Strip with chimichurri, the steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Stuffed filet with aged cheddar and mushrooms, also amazing, perfectly cooked, flavorful and tender. For the sides we ordered the Smoked Potato Puree since it was recommended by our amazing server and the Peas & carrots, also very good. Grace was superb. Service was fantastic. Food was prepared to our order. One complaint regarding the clam chowder. It was not seasoned much at all and had very little clams. This is a gorgeous restaurant with delicious food. We are staying at the Kimpton across the street and the bartender recommended Grace. So glad we wandered over, were seated at the bar without a reservation. Cocktails were perfect, servers were friendly, and the food was perfect. What does that have to do with our money, which spends the same as everyone else's, and our business? Literally walked in and left with a bad taste in my mouth. If you enforce a dress code that clearly has discriminatory undertones but don't have the same amount of (c)aucacity to season your dishes, what's the point of existing? Also the hostess' hair was an absolute wreck, and while she was simply enforcing the rules at her job, with how unkempt her hair was, it really felt quite hypocritical to be ordered to remove a hat when she really could've benefited from wearing one. read more

Overall I really enjoyed the service here! It was top notch and the vibes were really elegant and classy. Everyone was pretty well dressed and it was most definitely a formal restaurant so highly recommend that you dress up business casual. Our waitress was so nice and checked in on us often. It did take a little bit of time however for our food to come out so that was something that we had noticed. The food however was about a 4/5. I ended up getting the steak with the caramelized onion and mushrooms which I personally did not enjoy much at all. The steak also had both a lot of salt and pepper so it was a little difficult to enjoy. The macaroni and cheese however was delicious as well as the Japanese fried chicken. First off, so grateful they had $7 valet. Parking in downtown Fort Worth is crazy. I am not from Fort Worth anymore, I went to TCU years ago. Downtown has blown up! I digress -- back to Grace. Food was pretty good! We got two apps (fried oysters and lamb gyoza). We both got the toad in the hole salad, which apparently has been on the menu for 13 years. It was pretty good, not really a salad cuz of the big a$s piece of bread in the middle, but of course the bread was good, too! She got the filet and I got the scallops. Four scallops on some hash browns. lol $42. I mean did these scallops perform in the little Mermaid before their untimely deaths? I had to try them. They looked delicious. Not sure it was worth $42 though? They're probably super fancy scallops and I just couldn't tell the difference lol. That being said, still tasted great. We also got some cocktails that were just okay. The reason I am only giving 4 stars is because the tables are packed tight together. It's so loud in there, you can't hear anything. I went to the bathroom and literally hit traffic trying to get back to the table lol. And our waiter was amazing, not saying anything bad about him at all. But he had to squeeze his little butt between us and the table next to us, which I guess if I was a butt girl, I'd be cool with that view, but it was a little much for dinner with my mom. lol All in all, great place to try, pricey. Mrs. S and I decided we wanted to celebrate our anniversary by trying a restaurant for the first time. Ft. Worth has so many great places to eat and we've been to many of them, so someplace new sounded great! Our research pointed us to Grace and what a great selection that was! We arrived a bit early, but were seated immediately. Our server was Tyler and I can't say enough good things about him! Throughout the evening, he paid exactly the right amount of attention to us. And he made things happen! When telling us about the specials, he mentioned that they had a Watermelon Salad. Mrs. S. and I had both settled on our appetizers, but it sounded awfully interesting. Tyler suggested that we split the dish and that's what we did! Three different colors of watermelon, Boursin cheese, red onion. . . it was really good. Mrs. S had the Beef Tenderloin Tartare and it was wonderful. I'd seen a picture of Foie Gras on the web site, but it wasn't on the menu. Tyler said, "Let me see what I can do." He made it happen! It was wonderful. For dinner, Mrs. S had Capellini Nero. Lobster, mushrooms, marinated chilis and bread crumbs. . . She loved it! I had the Filet with Béarnaise. Also, they have Maine Diver Scallops as an entrée with four scallops, but you can add scallops to any other dish! I added a single scallop and it was out of this world! The Filet was perfect! The only "complaint" I had was that I wasn't thrilled with the Béarnaise. I prefer the tarragon to be more present. And the texture was more like Mayonnaise that a sauce. (This is solely my opinion. You might try it and love it!). And I don't want to forget the Sommelier. Tony was fantastic! He helped us pick a wine that went perfectly with the wide variety of foods on our plates. We were stuffed! But Tyler invited us to share a desert on the house in honor of our Anniversary. We chose the Butterscotch Pudding and again, it was fabulous. It is properly one of the best restaurant that I experience at Fort Worth. Great service from the time we walked in to the end. They understood the meaning of customer service. Our waitress recommended the following appetizers: king crab (chilled), butter poached oysters, and jumbo prawn cocktail. They were surprisingly delicious and addictive : ) She did a great job. As for the surrounding, it was clearly modern, spacious and minimum restaurant noise which was a big plus. Also, if you order the dry-aged ribeye, then make sure you don't add any topping to get the full texture and taste of the steak. The valet parking is right outside which easy access.. However, I recommend two improvement. First, it is not possible to have chocolate cake after a big meal. Maybe small bite macaron, or something that fit the summer theme on the dessert menu. Great service, better food! When looking for a fine dining experience my husband and I normally stick to places in Dallas..after our visit to GRACE Fort Worth is now on our list! We started with the lamb belly dumplings which were very tasty! My husband ordered the French Onion soup and he was very pleased. I hate onions but even I could appreciate the great flavor the soup had. For our main entrees I had the pork shanks that were served with bao buns and a slaw. The flavors blended beautifully! And if course for dessert we had the milk and cookies. Who doesn't want to drink cold milk from a martini glass?! Lol I have three different cocktails and all were delicious! I'd been to Grace before, but sat in the bar section, and it was much livelier. We came on a thursday evening from 6:30 - 10 and it was quite dead. I dont mind quite, but it was really weird. The service and attention was fantastic. Not sure if thats bc we were only 1 of the 5 tables sat, but it was pretty great. The server was friendly and she knew her stuff. She answered every question thoroughly and made fantastic suggestions. We started off with the Water Lily and ?? (Forgot my husbands drink). Mine was good, his, i was not a fan. My husband selected a steak with mashed potatoes and my, oh my, that was one perfect steak. My mouth is watering just writing about it. I got the Chef's tasting menu...i was not a big fan. Dont get me wrong the presentation and descriptions for each plate really made for a great experience, but some of the plates were so boring and the ones i did like, well, it wasn't worth $89. I dont recall what was in each, but the first plate was a complete miss. Tater tot of some kind and even though it had caviar it still tasted like a regular tater tot you buy from a fast food place. The plate that had lobster, while the lobster was cooked perfectly, the sauce it was paired with tasted like mayo, made me miss the butter...The cod was also cooked perfectly and it was fluffy, but it was so saturated with oil or butter, something, that i couldnt finish it bc there was nothing on the plate to offset the taste. The pasta, quail and tart were incredible, so the meal wasnt a total failure. I was so stuffed by the end, but that tart, im still dreaming about it. We finished off with the Sazerac and the Good night and good luck or something like that. Very strong drinks...mine almost tasted like a spin on an old fashion and thats not really what i was looking for, but it was still tasty. Decor was good and in a good location. I think i still Capital is my favorite place for a nice dinner out in Fort Worth. read more

O. M. G. This wasn't just a dinner, it was an experience. My son recently got engaged so I flew to TX to take him and his fiancee out to celebrate. Did a Yelp search and found this restaurant. From the hostess stand to the server to the parking valet - EVERY SINGLE PERSON GAVE US EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Now let's move to the food....although some may consider it pricey, I say it was worth every penny and then some. 1. The drinks were amazing! 2. Lamb belly dumplings - so flavorful and delicious! Onion soup and gem salad also really tasty. 3. Entrees: The lobster was divine, filet mignon full of flavor, scallops were perfect, halibut was wonderful! 4. Mac and Cheese - I know, who orders this comfort side at an upscale restaurant? We did and it was soooo good! 5. Butterscotch pudding (because we were already quite full, but wanted to experience a little bit of everything) - fabulous; not too sweet. We had a really great date night here not too long ago. I've heard great things about Grace but had never been, I think it lived up to the expectations and delivered a wonderful dining experience. I really wanted to like this place. I really did! However, our experience was so bad I cannot bring myself to give them more than one star. There are a few reasons for this. First and foremost, the experience. We had a 8:30pm reservation - mind you the restaurant accepts bookings for seatings until 9:15pm. When we arrived we found out their valet would close at 10pm. As you can imagine, 1h30m for a fine dining experience for 5 people would be hardly enough, and we thought that the restaurant would have this figured out. Only they did not. At 9:55pm, the valet guys came inside and started looking at us in a way that suggested we needed to leave because it was time up. Not only that, but after 9:40pm our waiter started rushing us and even brought us our check together with the cheese course. Like, are you kidding me? Rushed experience at what would like to be one of the top restaurants in the DFW area is simply unbelievable. Secondly, my wife felt sick after getting home. She had the scallops (whose only remarkable thing was the Texas-sized portion), which did taste a bit off. Or rather, you could not taste them at all, as there was so much butter/cream on the dish that we did not know what she was eating. Anyways, after a couple hours of getting home she started feeling ill, and she ended up spending the better part of the night in the restroom. Think what you will, but we are pretty sure the seafood quality was bad. Third, the food was very unremarkable. Sure we ate it all (what are you supposed to do? Send it back and look like a moron?!), but that does not mean it was good in any ways. Heavy, creamy - there was nothing refined about most of what we tried. Fourth - our daughters food was cold. Thankfully they ate it anyways. Last but not least - our server was very young and inexperienced, and was trying to give us tips like this was the first time we dined at a fine dining establishment. Cute at first; annoying as hell after 30 minutes. After paying ai believe in excess of five hundred dollars for three adults and two kids, I tried to contact the restaurant - twice - via email to complain and give feedback about the experience. However, the emails got bounced twice, as clearly they do not like to communicate in writing to avoid paper trails. Not only that, but after multiple calls I was finally able to talk to a manager, who refused to issue any refund at all. He did offer us a free dinner, which I refused because I am honestly not interested in visiting with them again. All the conversation felt very insincere and unapologetic. So yeah - this is why I am giving them 1 star. They did have a good wine selection with some hard to find gems, and the gazpacho was admittedly excellent. But that was pretty much it. I will not come back, I will urge my contacts not to as well, and if you really must go do yourself a favor and go dine at 6:30pm at the latest so you can actually enjoy your meal without feeling like you're being kicked out. read more

This review is for the restaurant week menu! My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Grace- with Cozy and intimate seating, we were able to have a wonderful evening with great food, and even better service. Rebecca, who was our server for the night, was phenomenal. She was accommodating all through out the night and was patient with us during the ordering process. The food: First course, pork belly croquette- the croquettes were a delicious way to start off the night. They were fresh and crispy, and the pork belly was steamed to perfection. Second course, risotto- the risotto portion was a bit small, but delicious nonetheless. It was creamy, and had corn dispersed through each bite. While the risotto was creamy, I wish it had had a bit more cheese on top. Third (main course), steak with polenta cheese and steamed veggies- Oof. So good. The steak was grilled to perfection, and paired perfectly with the polenta cheese base. The veggies on top added to the meal, but was a tad too salty. However; this was alleviated by the wine paired with the meal. Fourth course, butterscotch pudding- I'm dead. This was probably one of the best desserts I have ever had, and looking back, I still think about it a lot. It was the pudding + ice cream + caramel sauce. As we tried it all together, it was a perfect way to end a perfect night. I write this review a couple weeks after the dinner, as I wanted to provide an honest and thought out response to the night. I appreciated Grace's donation to charity with each restaurant week dinner purchased, and it was one of the main reasons I really wanted to try their menu. One additional thing I would like to note: we had an early dinner, so we were able to find parking with ease. However, if you see that it has been hard to find parking, just park at valet- the price of valet is cheaper than most parking in the area. read more

Grace is definitely my go to spot on Wednesdays! Not only do they have half off sparkling wine until 6pm, they do a wonderful Women and Wine deal. Two glass of wine and small food pairing for just $10 until 7! Every Wednesday! Their food is incredible even if you just sit on the bar side. My go to's are the Toad in the Hole salad and the Satays. When I'm feeling fancy I get the Scallops on their dinner menu as well. Three dishes stood out - Maine diver scallops (cooked perfect with a light sear), the bacon wrapped onions (tasty and different) and then the butterscotch pudding (absolutely decadent). As an self professed Tartare effcianato I found their portions extremely small (1/2 " x 3 " ) and therefore a poor value. Of the hundreds of Tartare's that I've ordered over the years, the portion is tupically the size of your fist ( 6" x 3") with caper, mustard etc. Wouldn't order again read more
