To my surprise, there's a Gott's Roadside right inside SFO! It's hiding all the way at the end near Gate A13. You can order either at one of the kiosks or directly at the register. the food takes a little while to come out--but that's totally normal for any Gott's location. The good news is the quality and flavor are exactly the same as the Gott's I know and love outside the airport. No compromises here. I usually go for their California Burger, but this time I switched it up and ordered the Texas Avocado Burger (without the jalapeños), plus a side of garlic fries. Absolutely delicious. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the garlic fries were just as addictive as ever. Finding this level of food at an airport is a huge win. If you're flying out of SFO and anywhere near Gate A13, Gott's is a must-stop. So good. read more

There was a deadly typhoon in the Philippines, so I was unsure whether to go. My siblings, who had been there for a month, convinced me to join them. They assured me that the places we were visiting were not affected and would not be in danger. So my daughter and I rushed to the airport, skipping dinner with my partner and his daughter. This is the restaurant/bar version of the well known NorCal chain. It is a great place to have a meal, relax, catch up on work, etc. before boarding your international flight. The walkway between the bar and some of the dining tables is a bit narrow, though. Just like the standalone locations in other parts of the Bay Area, you order at the counter. Gott's fans...be careful. I didn't even know that there was a Gott's at SFO until my homie told me. I only have had it once at the one in Walnut Creek, so I had some high expectations. But I should have knew better. It's the airport. Food is going to be hit or miss no matter how good you think it might be. I will say that the area definitely looked like Gott's. Lots of white decor everywhere with a bunch of seating. I was even surprised that they had a bar. I had ordered a Long Island Iced Tea because anytime I see that when I'm traveling, I think about my pops. It was just ok...The beauty of the drink is that even if it doesn't mix well, usually you'll still feel good by the end of it. But let's talk food. I really was impressed by the Impossible Burger. The "meat" itself was cooked perfectly and over all, the ingredients in the burger messed well to form a solid flavor. I'll definitely have to keep this burger in mind the next time if I want to kick back. However what I was really hoping to enjoy the most was the Chicken Tenders. It's my wifey's favorite thing here. Though not a favorite, Gott's is a familiar name. When I saw them at SFO's International Terminal (near the A gates), I thought eating there would be a sufficient way to while away the time before boarding my delayed flight. I ordered the Vietnamese Chicken Salad, something I've had a handful of times at other locations. There was something in this (the dressing, perhaps?) that gave it a fishy taste. I was instantly put off & regretted spending money on an unworthy meal. While waiting for another delayed flight (so very many delayed flights) more recently, one of my companions ordered a Western Bacon Blue Ring Burger. I ordered nothing, having learned my lesson from my first experience, but didn't pass up a bite when offered one. Despite enjoying the onion ring, tangy bleu, & BBQ sauce components, the patty was dry & flavorless. Wow!! Was a bit worried by the reviews but I lucked out! Boarded, delayed, released from plane at 8pm...no lines until everyone from MY flight arrived, LOL. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger with extra meat, DON'T make my mistake, one patty is ample. It's about the size of 2.5 to 3 In N Out patties in one! I'm having trouble finishing, and I'm a big eater. Onion rings were delish. Everything came out quickly and perfectly. I did remove the top box cover right away so the steam wouldn't ruin my bacon. Decided on Gott's for a fresh salad instead of pasta from the cafe across the hall. Ordered the citrus and avocado salad to feel healthy and sustained before my 12+ hour flight. It's way bigger than it looks in photos--bigger than my hand! The chicken looked a bit solidified, like it was premade, and it didn't have that meat-y stringy texture of fresh chicken. However, the seasoning was packed with flavor and went well with the toppings. I love avocado and tomatoes so it was a very satisfying, filling lunch. I found the pickled onions to be bunched together at the bottom of the salad so I didn't eat much of it. Also, the dressing was more concentrated at the bottom of the bowl too, so I ate that part without meat. From ordering to getting my food took about 5 minutes. You get a buzzer so you know when it's done, and you pick up by the right side of the cashier. The ambience and service is what you'd expect at an airport -- generally poor. But what's really disappointing and a blight on the brand is the quality of the food preparation. I just ate what is without a doubt the very worst bacon cheeseburger I've ever tasted, bad in ways I'm sure you cannot even imagine a bacon cheeseburger could be bad. The meat was burned and dry yet cold like something cooked yesterday, the bacon was also cold and limp, the cheese came straight out of the refrigerator with no effort made to even simulate melting. Realistic review: It's a 3 star i'd say, it's in the airport, so of course it's gonna be busy. Hello (?!) I come to Gott's sometimes during my lunch era or in the morning; as a dnata worker. Ambience: The food is ok, i like how you can order items on a touch screen, then receive your order number and signature. Efficient and very convenient to pay. Without having to speak up in a loud environment. Also it's good for the workers there, good control work load (order tickets) and work procedures. I also used to be in the food industry too so i understand their perspective. People complain about wait times or other minuscule things and immediately give it a 1 star, but overall it's part of learning as a cook. Perceptive innovations: The convenience of squirting your own ketchup and other sauces, etc., is also nice. Since it's at the side around the corner of the front desk; people might not see it, and complain about not having ketchup. As for innovation, they do take-out and dine-in options, obviously. My Experience: Usually i order fries maybe some burgers or tacos, taking 10-15 minutes, sometimes longer. They usually get orders right and they listen, so that's good. For a definitive answer, i'd say 3 stars because sometimes the ketchup is weird and chunky and the food quality can get greasy or dry. Not the best, just something to eat before a flight or something. Although expensive, there's better places to eat, and a tiny bit cheaper located in the International Terminal A. Glad SFO has been getting some better food fare and I usually like Gott's. Airport Gott's left a little to be desired, maybe because I was one of the last customers and they were about to close. The Western Burger and garlic fries were overall ok but it just didn't taste that fresh. Also, although the bun looked grilled, the top half was cold and hard and eating the burger wasn't a tasty experience. Server was friendly and it didn't wait too long for the food to come out, but I just didn't feel the TLC in my meal. Maybe I have to reset my bar from my other experiences since it's technically airport food. Ambiance is vibrant with several tables. You can get napkins, ketchup, utensils, etc. at the counter. If I can give 0 stars I would. Stopped here while we're waiting for an international flight. I'm glad I only ordered 1 meal. Their bacon cheeseburger and an order of sweet potato fries. Their pictures looked great but what you actually get is not just overcooked but literally a burnt burger and sweet potato fries that were almost too dark to eat, because once again it's overcooked!! What a horrible experience Customer service was almost non existent! You order at the kiosk and you go to the counter to pickup. My husband asked if they can cut the burger in half and just tossed a plastic knife to him and never said anything else. I understand that this is SFO and food will be expensive but at least take pride in your products. Instead of serving food that I would not even give my dogs. Of course nowadays you can't even say anything to them because they will think you're a "Karen" It's so frustrating because most of us work hard for our money and to get food served this way is absolutely unacceptable. Of course, I didn't expect for this location to be the same as "not the airport" one but...oof...this Gots at SFO was not even close to it...The menu is super limited but it still has a bit for everyone (salads, burgers, fish tacos). I went with fish tacos and garlic fries. Tacos were good but super salty so I had to chug a gallon of water before the plane ride. Garlic fries were cold and super salty as well. You order at the counter, take a buzzer, find a seat and then get your food once the buzzer goes off. My coworker has been telling me to check this place out. So I got off the plane, felt that rumble in my tummy and headed right over. I walked in and sat down in a bar area and was greeted immediately. The bartender was really friendly and gave me some good advice on getting a burger. I ordered the Western Bacon Blue Ring burger and took about the average time along with my ice tea. Now I've had burgers with barbecue sauce, as well as blue cheese and one or the tends to be a little overpowering. This one actually hit right. I ordered some barbecue sauce for my onion rings and found myself spreading it on my burger. When the bartender saw that, he came over and said, "barbecue sauce works with the blue cheese", and we laughed. He knew what I was thinking. Freaking delicious crispy Vietnamese chicken salad. I would order this weekly if it were available in my local area (and not the airport). Perfect balance of spice and crunch with fresh, fresh greens. My gin and tonic was good too, could have been a little stronger. Not sure why some foodies rave about Gott's in general. The sfo airport location which I just patronized was no better than when I first tried Gott's when they opened in Walnut Creek several years ago. They prices were high due to the airport location, but that is expected so no worries. I ordered the California burger with lettuce instead of a bun. The meat is advertised as still being a little pink in the middle when served. This absolute hockey puck was past a pink middle. The extra egg helped get it down, but the eggs were among the smallest I have seen, so it was fortuitous that I doubled up. The only hot sauce available was Tapatio, so I just did the best I could with it. Extremely disappointing since they say you are getting a juicy patty. At least I didn't break a tooth.
