Not a bad option in Terminal 2. It's still airport food so it's expensive and the rating would probably be lower if it were outside the airport. Just came here for dinner on Thursday night before catching a flight to Burbank. My daughter and I shared a pre-made chicken caesar salad and a Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms. "Croutons are fire" according to her, so "fire" that I didn't get to eat any of them. The salad was pretty good. The sandwich came out piping hot with fries. The bread was a little soft, but the meat, onions, mushrooms, and cheese were tasty, and the fries were crisp. Got some orange juice to go along with it. We were content with the meal. read more

The double cheeseburger cooked medium rare is really tasty. Probably my favorite frequent stop in the airport. However they have started skimping on the fries. $47 for a burger and a drink is enough to get a full serving of fries. I mentioned this to the server and she said her boss has told them they should now skimp on the fries!! Come on! They are low cost, you are making plenty of money already! read more

Burger has good flavors overall probably because I added mushrooms and bacon. It wasn't dry at all, the double patty was filling and cheesy. I opted for a salad instead of fries, but didn't get any dressing despite them asking if I wanted ranch or balsamic. Overall it exceed my expectation for airport food. It was freshly made to order. Sitting here in Terminal 2 for a late flight, needed to grab dinner, and let's be real, Terminal 2 doesn't have many options so I decided to grab a bite at Burger Joint. Now, I've eaten here a couple of times before but for breakfast, and honestly their breakfast sandwiches are pretty solid. Just need some mayo and it's a solid meal to start the day. On this latest visit, it was dinner time, so decided to go with a bacon burger w/fries and a drink. Just under $35 which is wild, but it's the airport and expected. The burger itself was actually quite tasty and exceeded expectations. The bacon was a good thickness and the bun held up well. Probably one of the better burgers I've had in an airport. So on an airport scale, i'd rate it quite high. I was going to get a tall can of regular coke, but that was $6. I went with the fountain drink for $5, and they allow for free refills, so pro tip, go for the fountain and get a refill for the road or flight in this case... read more

I ordered the cheeseburger, which came with fries. Both the burger and the fries were very good, fresh and hot. The condiments on the burger were plentiful and the meat patty was 1/3 oz. The price was typically over priced, as is all airport food. read more

Stopped by the Burger Joint at Terminal 2 (SFO) before my 8pm flight and it was honestly one of the best airport meals I've had. The burgers were fresh, juicy, and actually tasted like a real restaurant. not typical airport food. Big shout-out to Angel and Jesse for being so kind and welcoming! Well, the service was excellent. The young lady taking my order was very helpful and very happy. What she suggested was the cheeseburger, which seem basic but I'm glad I listened. You can sit at the counter and watch the 2 young men work quite well together. It was like every move was choreographed! Plus, they were all singing to the songs played on the radio, and they weren't bad, at all. Food came out and the portion was spot on. Tasted pretty dang good. It was all so fresh! The burger tasted like the kind you'd have at a family cookout as a kid. Standing tall with silver walls is a sight for the sore eyes of a hungover traveler. Are you kidding me? A good airport burger!!! My expectations were low, how often is airport food worth the price? It was worth it at Burger Joint! I ordered at the counter and waiting about 8 minutes for the burger. It was bigger than I was expecting, maybe 2 third pound patties. The burgers had a great char flavor and were cooked to order. Every time I'm flying Alaska, I always get a bacon cheeseburger with fries from Burger Joint. The taste reminds me of a family bbq. It's a simple burger, but it does the job and it's honestly the best airport restaurant place in the Alaska terminal. Service is alright. Burger Joint is located inside Terminal 2 of San Francisco International Airport. Their burgers are flame broiled to order. I ordered a double cheese burger with salad. It was filling enough to last me through a 5 hr flight so I did not have to eat onboard. The burger tastes like a burger from a premium burger place. They are a cut above your typical airport burger. They do flame broil the hamburger. So it did take a bit longer to get to order done even though there was no line when I was there. I was pleasantly surprised with having such a good burger at the airport. If you have a bit of time to spare, and are craving for burgers, I would recommend giving this place a try. read more

Christmas Eve we were boarding a flight to Tampa. Ordered breakfast croissant and I told them NO meat. The lady asked if I wanted avocado instead and I said ok. Takes 20 minutes and out comes my breakfast croissant with bacon. I went back and told them to change it since I am a vegetarian and don't eat meat. They promptly called me back in 3 minutes and I was surprised that it got ready so quickly. The removed the bacon and inserted avocado. I took a bite and it smelt and tasted horrible just like bacon. Awful service!!!! I even tipped them big!! Expensive and useless!! Threw the breakfast back on the counter and walked away! read more

For an airport restaurant, 4 stars. Outside of an airport, probably 2 stars. The service was pretty rapid and quite friendly. The options available are fairly broad. A double cheeseburger is like $18 before tax and whatnot. In terms of the taste, it was remarkably average. If I was not in airport, I'd expect the burger and fries to be no more than $10. I'd perhaps come back if I had to eat in this terminal again. read more

They do offer protein style. They will substitute the fries with salad. They still need to grill the patties. Even they grill more than orders, it still takes time to cook and pack it up. read more

Chose the best place I could find while waiting for our fight to LA, chose the Burger Joint, They offered a selection of sandwhiches: Hamburger, cheeseburger, philly cheesesteak, breakfast sandwhich.Ended up getting the turkey burger and the BJ Scramble - eggs with fries, toast, and a choice of bacon or sausage as well. There is a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating. The combination of these different things unfortunately brings the experience to be a bit less enjoyable to the fun that the Napa area ones have.

They forgot my order! What a terrible thing to do in a time-sensitive location like an airport terminal where people are connecting to other flights. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich minus the lettuce. I stepped just a few steps over from the cash register to the pickup counter once my order was rung up. 21 minutes later, after other customer numbers had been called, I asked about my order. An employee, responding to my inquiry, asked, "What did you order?" I told him. He said, "Oh, those take awhile, usually about 13 minutes." For a minute, he just accepted that the food would be up shortly. Glancing in my direction and seeing my brow furrowed, my nostrils flared, and my teeth clenched, he decided to follow up on it. A cashier walked up to look at my receipt, which I tendered. Then, inquiries went around the kitchen. It seemed that a dozen employees were on duty at the time, and all of them missed it. They all looked around at each other, slack-jawed, wide-eyed, and dumbfounded, not knowing where to place the blame. The report came back that they remembered receiving the order, but did not know what happened to it after that. How does an order slip through the cracks with a dozen employees in the kitchen? What incompetence! They said that they could remake the sandwich. Was I willing to wait? Not when I was totally angered at this point. I said, "Just refund it." How good was the grilled chicken sandwich? I have no idea, and I will never find out because I am never going back. read more

This spot has the worst customer service. While sorting out the reservation car reservation at airport, I ordered a cheese burger and water. Because it was too loud I walked away after ordering my burger. When I came back for water the lady at front gave this attitude that she gave my water to another customer because I walked away. I asked to fill a another cup and she did and then threw her scoop in ice machine like she was pissed. Then my food came out and it was sitting on counter and the same lady proceeded to remove it from counter and I asked not to do it because I was still on phone and waiting to finish my conversation. To which this lady called me asshole. I asked for manager and her friend "Tania" came up and said I am the manager. The experience that I met a good quality burger restaurant in the Airport is lucky. In US, many famous burger franchise brands operate their store in the Airport. I knew the Burger Joint started in NY. They made an excellence reputation about burger and many store opened in South Korea too. when I use a domestic airline in US, because of their expensive price and low quality I didn't select a food menu. The food was a pleasant surprise! I had breakfast on my way out, which included eggs, potatoes and bacon. The place was clean, the food tasted fresh and was delicious to boot. The price was also very fair given I was in an airport. On my return I stopped to try the cheeseburger with bacon and fries. Without a doubt that was one great burger, fresh and tasty. The fries were thicker than I like, but that is just a preference and I have nothing but positive comments about the Burger Joint. Give this place a try!! read more

Not a bad burger joint. I just got a regular burger with American cheese. It was pretty tasty. The fries were good too. My friend got a root beer float and she loved it. It was great that they put it in a to-go box for me since I was late for my flight. read more
