In search of something quick to bring on my cross-country flight, I decided to pick up a bagel from Klein's Deli because I wanted to eat something in between breakfast and lunch. I chose Klein's because it was located right next to my gate and had an online ordering system that I perused while waiting in the boarding area. There was a large variety of breakfast and lunch options; however, the online menu did not include descriptions of the food items (I had to walk over to the kiosk to read the physical menu descriptions). Upon placing my order of a bagel with hummus and cucumber, I only waited about 5 minutes for my order to be prepared. I ended up eating my bagel about an hour into my flight, and it still tasted freshly toasted. I'd definitely consider ordering from Klein's Deli again for its convenience and solid breakfast / lunch selection. read more

Located at T3 gate 14 this sandwich shop is fast and convenient. I ordered a tuna salad on rye and only had about 5 minutes to boarding. They cranked out a tasty sandwich made my way in two minutes flat and I was able to board my flight on time. Since my flight was scheduled for 5 hours and 50 minutes there was no meal service, so my overstuffed Klein's deli sandwich was exactly what I wanted and needed. The coffee/pastry counter filters through orders much more quickly than the sandwich one, so if you're in a rush, I would grab a bite at this counter instead. Klein's Deli is the best! They have great sandwiches... my favorite is the Haight., which is a BLT with avocado on toasted sourdough. Their coffee is also amazing! There was a very long line at the Gate F14 location, so given that my flight was about to board, I grabbed a premade sandwich and went to the register. The attendant ran my card and then looked at me. I asked for a receipt and it the salad came with dressing. She said "you cut the line". I apologized and said since no one was at the register and I grabbed a pre-made item I thought I did not have to wait for the folks having custom sandwiches made. She looked at me, at which point I asked again for my receipt. She then handed me a small bag with my receipt and I asked if they had a bag for my salad and she replied no. The curry chicken salad in the Portero Hill sandwich is absolutely fabulous. I am a big fan of chicken salad sandwiches. And these guys make there's tasty - a little sweet with the savory. You can customize it. Change the bread. Personally, I like mine with some onion on it.
