Ahhhhh, moving. Is there ever a more stressful, cluttered, clusterf*ck time period than that before a move? There are boxes everywhere, you can't remember where you put that vase that your Aunt Phyllis gave you that now suddenly is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING to locate as a result of your stressed out state of mind. If you are like me, you might tear up, yell at a box (that doesn't work by the way, the damn thing just sits there and mocks you), and basically stress to no end. Then on the actual moving day, oh forget it. It's total chaos and you realize who your real friends are. You also realize that you are kind of a user, because two months ago you wouldn't have even thought to call your buddy to go hang out and grab dinner, but now that you've remembered he has a truck, he has suddenly become your #1 on speed dial and why in the hell won't he call me back?!?! Well, I am here to tell you that no friendship is worth testing over a move and no piece of furniture is worth throwing your back out over, so I say call these guys to come and help you. Help (HA) they do everything and all you have to do is point! I used them in April '08 when I moved from the 4th floor of a building with a death trap for an elevator and a staircase that didn't have one even step on it. My place also had a long hallway that was near impossible to get big things around and these gentleman were able to get every last piece out with not even a scratch! They were funny, kind, friendly, helpful, suggested options and never once did I get the feeling I was getting ripped off. (How often does that happen) Oh and to top it all off, it was pouring rain the day I moved and everything was kept safe and dry. Within 3 hours, they had completely moved me out of my tricky pad and into my humble abode and I am forever grateful. They even included an extra stop to deliver my then boyfriends couch...and trust me, this was the biggest couch ever and they still handled it with ease. End of the day, with tip, it came out to under $800. And I had aloooottttt of stuff. So try them if you need a great mover! I loved them and would use them again in a heartbeat! Oh and PS: Buy some water / soda or something before hand. It's not gonna cost you a whole lot, but it makes all the difference. I was blown away to hear that many people don't do that or offer them anything. C;mon, they are busting their backs to help, be a human and get em some drink! read more

I recently had the pleasure of moving from one apartment to another in Walnut Creek, and I am delighted to share my experience, which was nothing short of excellent. The entire process was seamless and stress-free, thanks to the outstanding service provided by the moving company and the helpfulness of everyone involved. From the very beginning, the Ali and Dauka demonstrated exceptional professionalism. Their customer service was prompt in responding to my inquiries and provided a clear and detailed estimate. They offered valuable advice on packing and preparing for the move, ensuring that I was well-prepared when moving day arrived. On June 14, 2024, the moving team arrived right on time. They were well-equipped and ready to handle the task at hand. Each member of the team was courteous, efficient, and highly skilled. They treated my belongings with the utmost care, meticulously wrapping and securing each item to prevent any damage during the move. The team worked diligently and swiftly, yet they never compromised on the quality of their service. They carefully navigated through both the old and new apartments, ensuring that walls, floors, and doorways were protected from any potential scuffs or damage. Their expertise was evident as they maneuvered bulky furniture and delicate items with equal precision. One aspect that truly stood out was their attention to detail. They took the time to reassemble furniture and place items exactly where I wanted them in my new apartment. They also double-checked to ensure that everything was accounted for and in perfect condition. This level of thoroughness made settling into my new home incredibly smooth and hassle-free. In conclusion, my move in Walnut Creek on June 14, 2024, was an exemplary experience. The moving company's professionalism, efficiency, and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly commendable. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of a reliable and high-quality moving company. They turned what is typically a stressful event into a pleasant and memorable experience. Thank you for making my move a success! read more

Got2Move made my move soooo easy and stress free that i couldnt believe that the X-day was over. Just to begin from the start: i called the office on Sunday and wasnt sure if anyone would pick up the phone. Only 2 rings in and I was greeted by Alex. I explained that I'd need moving within a week or so but was not sure about the date. Alex gave me a quote and followed up with a friendly email 2 days later to see if I had a moving date set up, which i did. So i booked for my 1 bedroom apartment move. I had quite a bit of stuff and needed some movers to pack some boxes, so i went with a 3-man crew. In addition, i knew my tight stairs would make the guys' job a little more difficult. Brad, Alex, and Stas arrived on time. We signed some paperwork and they instantly got to working. I was extremely amazed of the whole process, as everyone knew exactly what to do and the entire thing was so organized. At the end of the pick up, Brad even insisted on a walk-thru and god i really needed that otherwise i wouldve forgot my curtains lol. Pickup took almost 5 hours including 38 boxes packed, and unloading went pretty fast as i was moving into a storage unit. The whole crew was on point with sanitation: rubber gloves, masks, spraying disinfectant on door handles and other things. They were very positive and friendly. I am currently on a budget since I've recently lost my job, so i initially thought to tip $20 each. But after seeing how the guys worked, I decided to tip them a little more. Alex processed the payment over the phone and was kind enough not to charge me anything extra but a card fee which was reasonable - 3.5%. Even though all movers say they dont have ant "hidden fees," i was still prepared to pay for the boxes that were used at the very least. But nope! They had included all the costs in their hourly rate and Alex even pointed out to check his first email. I couldnt have been more grateful for the whole moving experience to say the very least. I will definitely use their services again when I move to my new place again in the summer! read more

Highly Recommended - Transparent Pricing, Excellent Communication, Stress-Free Move We recently moved from San Francisco to Oakland and had one of the smoothest, least stressful moving experiences thanks to Got2Move. What immediately stood out was their transparent pricing. They were the only company we contacted that provided a simple, all-inclusive rate with no hidden charges, fuel fees, truck fees, or other surprise add-ons. Their recommendation for our move was a 3-man crew and one large box truck at $260/hour, making it very easy to understand and budget for the move. Emily was fantastic throughout the process. She promptly provided the moving policy, CMSA documentation, and a sample combined moving agreement that clearly outlined every detail of the service. We appreciated the level of transparency and professionalism before the move even began. On moving day, the VS crew contacted us approximately 30 minutes before arrival, which we greatly appreciated. Communication was excellent from start to finish. The team was professional, efficient, careful with our belongings, and respectful of the moving requirements at both our commercial building in San Francisco and our HOA-managed building in Oakland. The crew worked hard, stayed organized, and made what could have been a stressful day feel easy and well-managed. We are extremely happy with the service provided by both Got2Move and the VS crew. We would gladly use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, transparent, and professional moving company. Five stars all around. read more

Got2Move are the best! This 3 men team of Leroy, Alex and Dima arrived on time on Monday even though there was very heavy traffic in the morning in the city. So my move was within San Francisco and there were 2 flights of stairs. The movers didn't complain unlike the previous ones I had. Got2Move was strongly recommended by 2 of my co-workers and I decided to give them a try. Loading was very organized. They all started to carry boxes and even helped me to finish packing of some pots and pans I forgot about in the oven. 2 of them were packing furniture using moving pads and plastic wrap. Meanwhile the other one was caring smaller stuff down the stairs and started to play moving Tetris inside of the truck. Loading took 4 hours and 20ft truck was full. Inspire of the fact that the movers had to drive through steep hills of SF, everything made to the destination safely. The guys managed to move everything out of the truck within 2 hours and even helped me to arrange the furniture inside of my living room and bedroom. They were polite and attentive throughout the whole move. I was very pleased with professionalism of this moving company. I also would like to mention a person who was assisting me over the phone before I made my reservation. Alex was extremely friendly, covered all my questions and gave me a rough idea about the cost. I would definitely recommend Got2Move services and will use them again. read more

I recently moved from Novato to Long Beach and this moving company completely exceeded my expectations. Long-distance moves are stressful by nature, so I was honestly bracing myself for issues -- but there were none. From the very beginning, they were transparent about pricing and timelines, and nothing changed once the move was complete. No hidden fees, no last-minute surprises. The moving crew was incredibly professional, kind, and respectful of my belongings. They showed up Monday morning and had my entire move delivered safely to Southern California by Wednesday afternoon. I was shocked (in the best way) that not a single item was lost or broken. They handled everything with real care. I also have to give a huge shout-out to Emily, who coordinated the entire move. She was absolutely amazing. My mom was helping me manage the logistics, and Emily took the time to patiently answer all of her questions both by phone and email. Her communication and organization made what could have been an overwhelming process feel smooth and manageable. The wardrobe boxes were great quality, and the team even packed items I didn't realize needed extra protection -- and didn't charge extra for it. That level of honesty and customer service is rare. If you're looking for a reliable, professional moving company (especially for a long-distance move), I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

I have moved a few times in the past couple of years, the last of the few I actually hired movers. I found Got 2 Move? here on Yelp, yaaaay for me! This service is by far the best I have ever used, here is why; -I requested a quote and heard back form them within a few hours of the request, they were able to give me a flat rate quote then and there. -Great pricing. -I had to reschedule my move a couple of times, they were able to adjust to my changes with no problem. -They showed up on time and got right to work - just two guys but, wow!!! Can they get it done! -Very polite respectful, I felt like they really took pride in their work and their attention to customer service was stellar. -All of my furniture was packed and protected with extreme care, not to mention they moved the larger items from the one residence to the next with no damage to any of the walls/stairwells..like I'm talking no damage, at all. -While I had labelled most of the boxes, there were a few that I didn't get to - rather than just dump said boxes in the easiest location, they made a point of asking where I would like them. All and all, I highly recommend Got 2 Move? I will definitely use them for my next move without hesitation - you should too :) read more

Let's face it moving is never fun. There is never a dull moment. I was dreading this move as everything was happening too quickly. I used Got2Move to move a 2bdrm apartment from Los Angeles to SF, and I'm glad that I did. The company made the process as smooth as possible from the beginning to the end. Emily surveyed my furniture and items thtough video call and gave me a quote within an hour of our chat. I was not sure if I wanted to take all my furniture, she gave me two quotes. She gave me an option for full packing services. I didn't know my destination 3 days before the actual move. They gave me a quote if the destination had stairs. I couldn't commit due to uncertainty and they followed up and provided reassurance. Their flexibility took a huge load of my mind. I ultimately opted for 1 week storage for an additional fee as the place I was moving into was not ready. The loaders were fast, friendly, helpful and responsive at both Origin and destination. They arrived within the communicated time frame and handled all items with care. This was a 10/10 experience! Thank you! read more

After closing the purchase of my new house in Orinda, I found myself in urgent need of a reliable moving company. Someone in my local Facebook group recommended Got 2 Move. It was Friday late afternoon when I called the movers. Johnny picked up the phone, asked me some questions and emailed a quote within 10 minutes. The move was scheduled for Sunday and Johnny's crew came in the morning and did everything flawlessly. My driveway in Orinda is steep but the guys didn't complain. They worked carefully and patiently. All the furniture was professionally protected. Upon delivery the movers unwrapped the furniture, took trash with them and arranged furniture and boxes per my requests. Everything was handled carefully, no milking time. I decided to get rid of some furniture and was ready to pay the dump fee but Sam (driver) said he'd take those pieces; so no extra dump fee was applied. It was very nice and honest of the guys. My house in Concord was 1800 sq ft. The move cost me around $1900. No hidden fees. Honest and professional service. read more

I recently moved from a 2-bedroom apartment in San Francisco (with two flights of stairs) to a single-story house in San Ramon, and Got2Move made my relocation easy. We did a video estimate ahead of time, and Emily provided a guaranteed max price for the move -- which gave me a lot of peace of mind. The 4-man crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and even packed a few last-minute boxes for us without any fuss. Pricing was clear and fair, and I appreciated that the Zelle rate was a bit cheaper. We paid via Zelle and gave the crew cash tips because they really earned it. The guys clearly knew what they were doing -- everything was handled with care. On the way to San Ramon, the movers took a short break near the new house, kept me updated, and didn't charge for that time, which was a nice touch. Overall: great professional service, great crew, reasonable rates, no extra fees. Highly recommend Got2Move if you need professional movers in the Bay Area who are skilled, transparent, and easy to work with. read more

I hired David and Got2Move? to move our office in the Financial District in downtown SF. David was incredibly helpful and professional handling all of the different insurances and paperwork required by both our current office and new office building. They had no problem working under our timing constraints (pulled everything together in under a week) and arrived right on time and were very fast. They even helped box up some larger loose items that we didn't know what to do with. Our new office wasn't ready for us for another month, so David also stored all of our things for an extremely affordable price. They made it so easy to only have to deal with one company rather than hiring a storage company as well. I would without a doubt hire them again even for my own private move. Everyone with the company is extremely friendly and goes above and beyond to do what's convenient for you. I trust David and his employees completely with my belongings. The best moving experience I've had to date. read more

At first I was a bit nervous about hiring movers. As a recent college graduate, I had never used a moving company before, and I was nervous after reading reviews (of other moving companies) describing how things got broken, the movers were too slow, etc. To the contrary though, I had a very pleasant experience with Got2Move. Everything went as I could have wished: they (VS crew) arrived on time, did a good job wrapping up and protecting all my furniture, efficiently disassembled it and put it in their truck, drove it all to my new apartment, and helped me carry it all up into my new unit without breaking or losing anything. Throughout the entire process, they didn't waste a second lounging around or waiting on anything. Nonetheless, I enjoyed conversing with them as they worked-- they were both nice guys with fascinating life stories. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth from this company and would recommend it to anyone else moving between apartments in the area! read more

Can moving and storage become an art? I didn't think so until I hired these guys to move me from a 5-bedroom house into storage. I chose them because they were so highly rated on this site, the price quoted was very reasonable, and I was impressed with the professionalism of the owner, David, when we discussed the move over the telephone. However, I was pretty anxious when David told me the night before he would not be there himself. As it turned out, the team that did the move for me, Tak, Felipe and Leroy, are the best movers I could have ever imagined. I think Tak is the genius responsible for getting it all into one trip in their 24-foot truck, and for making maximal use of the storage space in a spectacular Chinese puzzle of packing it in, but they were all three fast, efficient, professional and very pleasant. Very highly recommended! In fact, I don't want anybody but the same team to move me out of storage into my next home! read more

After reading online Yelp reviews my roommates and I decided to go with Got2Move Company. When we reached out to the company via email the representative we were connected with was incredibly helpful: he provided moving tips, cost estimates, and gave us a general idea of what to expect with the move. When the day of the move came everything fell into place -- no hassles or problems at all. We hired three movers (VS crew) and boy did they make our lives easy. They dealt with all of the boxes and heavy furniture with ease. They were on time, communicative, and respectful of our new condo -- we had new carpet installed so they put down mats when they moved. At the end of the move they went over the moving costs and guided us through each expense added to our receipt, no hidden costs! If you're looking for movers to assist you with your next move then I'd highly recommend Got2Move, they're definitely worth it! read more

I've used this company already 3 times and I know for sure, if I will need to move it again in the future I will call just this guys. I don't usually write reviews since never have time (I'm in business myself) but this guys are deserve 5+ stars for the job they do. I met David, the owner a few years ago, when I was moving my business. Moving business for me was something quite impossible thing, I was in a panic. David spoke to me on the phone, instructing what I have to do and how to prepare and pack my stuff for the move. When they arrive at the time and started to put thing in the truck I was so impressed how organized they are, careful with fragile and other stuff I had. It was fast, organized, with no damage or anything like that. I was so happy! After successful business move I had to move myself 2 more times and both times I was pleasantly satisfied. Thank you David and all you crew! read more

If you need to move, you need Got2Move! I have used them twice for my moves in Oakland and I cannot say enough about them. Most recently--they helped me move into my new home. And before I unpack one box I had to come on here to Yelp to share my experience. I had the pleasure of working with VS and Valentine. They...were...AWESOME. Kind, professional, courteous, expeditious...the list goes on. Truly a top tier duo that made my moving day stress-free. They were punctual to the minute! Reached out in advance to confirm my address and gave me their ETA. Upon arrival, they confirmed some details and got right to work! Truly brilliant and speedy! All items were cared for perfectly. Not a dent or scratch on anything. Even after all was said and done, they took a moment to help me move a GIANT planter that was left by a prior tenant. I was am so grateful! read more

These movers are the biggest life savers. I was hesitant to get movers in general since I though I would be able to pack my apartment with just a few friends but we wouldn't have done nearly the same caliber of work as these men. All of our furniture was delicately packed so there was no worry of items breaking in transit. The men are super nice and very easy to work with and only want to help make your move as easy as possible. They were texted and called 30 minutes before arrival to ensure that we were ready to move once they arrived and answered any questions we had! They are also very efficient and don't waste any time - I was especially nervous about going over our estimate but our guys were the best and fully understood. When we move again this is the only company I will call (and hopefully these guys will be our movers again)! read more

Unbelievably awesome work. These guys - David in particular - went over and above the call of duty with my move. It was a complicated move (2 house to 1 house) and I screwed up by not sending them the confirmation email with all the address details. Still when I called at 8am on Sunday, asked when he would arrive, and learned that I had totally messed up by not confirming, David jumped on it and said he would figure out how to make it happen. And he did. The guys can around 11am and managed this enormous project - working straight with just a teeny break - until 11pm when everything was finally in the house. I had to hug David when it was over and thank him for really going above and beyond. It had been my screw-up and David saved my move. Will forever use them for any move I ever do. Got2move and you should use them too. read more

I had an intrastate move with Got2Move, and their entire team from beginning to end was amazing. They were transparent, easy to work with, and made the whole process as stress-free as possible. Bek was my coordinator and primary point of contact, and he was incredibly thorough, patient, and professional. Not once did I feel rushed or pressured to move forward with anything. He took the time to answer my questions and made sure I knew what to expect throughout the process. Their pricing was competitive, and the service was top-notch. Both the pickup and delivery teams did an amazing job. Everyone was friendly, worked efficiently, and handled all of my belongings with care. I truly couldn't have asked for a better moving experience. I would 100% recommend Got2Move to anyone looking for reliable and professional movers! read more
