Came here for dinner. Wanted some Chinese food and wasn't about to go to Panda Express. Ordered orange chicken and combo roll which came with California roll, tuna roll, and spicy tuna roll. Got served with miso soup prior to ordering which was nice. Miso soup was yummy, same ole same ole but it was nice and hot. Orange chicken was alright, could have used little more flavoring but had nice crunch battering on the chicken. Rolls were pretty good, nothing special. Over all not bad but not good enough to come back. Over all main dishes price were bit hight.

This is the sushi hidden gem in the city of Mesa. We came in on a wet and cold Saturday night while we were charging our car and I was blown away by how cozy it was on the inside to begin with it was super clean and the server was really nice. We ordered a rainbow roll that had some of the yummiest fresh fish wrapped up in some great sticky rice it was really good. We had also ordered some Chinese chicken fried rice that had nice size pieces of chicken in it. The portion was really big that it was enough for leftovers the next day for lunch. Both entrees came with a bowl of soup. I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone's sushi needs here in Phoenix I'll definitely be coming back.

Just popped in for a quick lunch! Great lunch deals and pricing, very diverse menu, generous and tasty portions. I got the lunch orange confirm bento box and it was all outstanding and under $15! Initial greeting wasn't as warm but service was professional throughout so I'll still give this one five stars!

This place has went downhill! Ordering a $90 meal for my wife and I and it's mostly cucumber and rice! They are extremely stingy on the meat. I go to the sushi place across the street now and get much better sushi for less. Trust me.

Really, really nice place! I sat at the bar. I love that the chairs are regular height, and not raised. The chairs were nice and cushioned. Very cozy, cute, and darker inside. I liked the vibe. Servers were attentive. I loved the food. It is on my way home from work, so I will be back for sure! Excellent salmon nigiri. It just melted in my mouth. They give you an orange half all peeled at the end, but I forgot to take a picture.

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. I felt that the portion was good for a large meal, but my friend who got the chef's combo definitely had enough for leftovers.

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.

I suggest going somewhere else that is actually worth the time and money. We arrived there on time but they weren't ready for us yet. It took over 30 minutes for us to get a chef to our table and cook. We sat at the table hungry. The quality of food was not worth the prices. We ordered the steak ($50, definitely not worth it) and they did not cook it right. It was overdone. We also ordered salmon. I couldn't believe my eyes... the salmon ($38, not worth it) they had brought to our table was still half frozen! I had mentioned this at the table. I was ignored. I had to ask many times for different things from the chef due to the food not being good. I should have not ate it and just said something at the time but the waiter was in a bad mood and the chef wasn't the friendliest. The workers seemed tired and wanting to be there to do the job. I'd rather stay silent because I know how it can be working at a restaurant that has been busy. Our service... the waiter wasn't patient and had an attitude from the very beginning. I looked over at my friends and we kind of went silent. The performance at the hibachi lacked. I know the chef was probably worn out but our reservation was at 5 pm. Not late at all. We were super let down because the restaurant itself was beautiful but so many bad things happened. The only thing I liked from the restaurant was the happy hour they had a few nice drinks. That's it. The place is not accessible. there are places you have to step up, watch wear you step, it has a lot of declines and inclines. Not a lot of accessible parking. The entrance is so far away from most of the parking. Not enough room at tables for wheelchairs or scooters. It was super loud, very smoky and irritated not only my eyes my almost everyone at our table and other tables.

We came on a weekday afternoon, so it wasn't busy when we arrived. We got seated within the 10 minutes since they were setting up the tables for us. Ordering is fairly easy since they offer combos depending which meats you like more. Everything we ordered was good quality. My favorite meat cuts were the beef tongue, brisket and the intestines. If you're not into eating inside parts of animals, I would recommend getting the brisket or kalbi cuts. The Banchan (sides) were good too. They had fish cake, kimchi, pickled radish and cucumbers available. We also tried the tofu soup, steamed egg and corn cheese which all came out hot and tasted flavorful. This spot is a-la-carte, so you order off the menu and pay by items. My only downside is that they didn't have rice paper here since I don't really eat the white rice since it fills me up too quickly. Other than that, I would come back here again next time I'm visiting family. Service here was awesome too! We were checked on throughout our whole meal and the servers were friendly.

First, can we talk about this Arizona heat? My little one was extra fussy, and I really didn't want to unbuckle her just to run inside. I called the restaurant to see if there was any chance they could bring my order out to the car, and they didn't hesitate for a second. They were so kind and told me that as soon as my food was ready, they'd bring it right out to me--and they did! It's those small acts of kindness that leave a lasting impression. Going above and beyond for a busy mom in 100+ degree weather might seem like a little thing, but it made my day so much easier. As for the food... the Hibachi Chicken burrito was SO good! My husband and I chose Benihana in Chandler to celebrate his birthday, and what should have been a special evening ended with us walking out after over an hour without receiving a single drink or any food. We had an 8:00 PM reservation and arrived about five minutes early. Despite there being virtually no one at the host stand, we weren't acknowledged for over seven minutes. Once we were finally greeted, we were told to wait "just a few minutes." That turned into another 10 minutes before we were seated. We intentionally chose seats in the middle of the hibachi table because we wanted to enjoy the chef's performance. Once seated, our server promptly took both our drink and dinner orders since we were already behind due to the delays. We thought things were finally moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, they weren't. About 35 minutes after we were seated, a host came over and asked us to move so another family could sit together. We reluctantly agreed, even though it was inconvenient. When I asked our server when the chef would begin cooking, she explained that we had to wait for the newly seated party to order. That is completely unacceptable. We made a reservation, arrived early, ordered immediately, and yet we were expected to sit there indefinitely because another party arrived later and hadn't even placed their order yet. Why should our experience be delayed because of someone else's schedule? To make matters worse, the children at the table were incredibly disruptive and disrespectful throughout the entire wait. When we politely mentioned it to the parents, the response we received was, "They're kids, let them do what they want." There was no consideration for anyone else trying to enjoy their meal or celebrate a special occasion. Staff never stepped in to address the situation. After waiting over an hour from our reservation time, we still had not received our drinks, no chef had started cooking, and no food had been served. At that point, we had enough. We got up and left. This wasn't just a disappointing dinner. It completely ruined my husband's birthday celebration. We chose Benihana because we expected a fun, memorable experience, and instead we left frustrated, hungry, and feeling like our time and special occasion meant nothing. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that requires reservations and markets itself as an experience. A reservation should actually mean something. I expect someone from management or the General Manager to contact me directly regarding this experience. An apology alone will not make up for a birthday celebration that cannot be recreated. Benihana needs to take responsibility for how poorly this entire evening was handled and explain what will be done to ensure other guests celebrating special occasions are not treated the same way.
