I've been coming here for manicures for the past 5 years. Every once in a while I'll try out a different nail salon and I'm always left wishing I just went to Gorgeous Nails instead. They always take their time with and the greatest care in maintaining your nail health. I usually get a gel manicure and costs around $25 (before tip). They can take walk ins but they've been getting popular so making an appointment is usually the best option. read more

Worse nail salon in Modesto. I've going to this place for years, but something has changed. I had a 1 pm appointment today because in 4 days It is my court marriage day, I needed full acrylic set and pedicure which took over 3 hours and 20 minutes. 2 hours and 20 minutes first time and another an hour when I went back to fix the mess which didn't get fixed. The lady who did my nail insisted I need to do gel and I explained I want acrylic because a week after I have to go back and do gel for my wedding ceremony and reception. She took forever to finish up my nails, she cut the corner of my left thumb while she was filing my nails and then forgot to put top coat and told me to hold my nails by the little fan which I did and all of the sudden the nail polish started dripping and all my nail colors got stuck on my purse and peeled off. Then she said ok sit I will fix it and I told her I had another appointment right after and I went back at 5 pm to get them fixed them, Someone else tried to fix them for me when I went back which that didn't work either. I made sure I sit longer and asked her to double check and triple check if my nails are dried so I can leave. she checked and finally said yes you can leave. As soon as I got to my car and started driving home, they all were ruined. Worse experience ever. I spent almost 3 and half hour and $50 and ended up being in tears. Now I have to go somewhere else on Monday and fix them and spent more money and time to have my nails done for my marriage court day. read more

After having followed my nail girl from another shop to Gorgeous Nails, I enjoyed many great experiences with her and Gorgeous Nails. I recently stopped going because over the last several months, my girl has been working faster, causing injury to my skin, causing me to bleed and burning my nails as she shaped the bed. The sides of my finger tips had become rough and damaged. At my last visit she either did not understand my companion's nail request or she did what she thought would look best, which is what she did sometimes with me. Not a big deal, but it became a big deal because she treated my friend very poorly. I've been loyal for a long time and I love the owner, but after my last experience, I had to find a new nail salon. The skin on my fingers have become softer after switching salons and the topcoat doesn't chip off. Thank you, Diemy for buying such beautiful gems and for being so good to me. Please tell Loan, I'm sorry and I wish her well. read more

Went and got a pedi here this afternoon and I am very happy with the results. I had to wait for a bit, but I was a walk in so it is to be expected. The women who were doing most of the services (one man was doing fills) were all very polite and chipper. I didn't catch the name of my nail check, but she was super friendly. She did my nails just how I like and it didn't take forever. The chairs are FANTASTIC! They do a good job of being actual massage chairs, not just slight vibration chairs. The decor is nice and the shop is very clean. The only negative was the woman letting her child roam around free and scream her lungs out. They do have a "we are not responsible for your children" sign, so I do appreciate that. I just wish other people would pay attention to signs like that. Also! They only accept tips in the form of cash, you can't add it to credit card charge. Just a handy FYI! read more

Gorgeous Nails - Loan does amazing nails. I always get compliments on my nails. - Nail Salons Near Me - Modesto, California

They have a large selection of gel and regular nail polishes, and they are reasonably priced. It is clean, comfortable, and quite relaxing. There are two manicurists that take care of the acrylic nails, and several staff members that perform the manicures and pedicures(that include a free hot stone massage). *Also, as someone who has always had issues with painful pedicures due to dancer's feet, I really appreciate that the staff here takes their time and really takes care when treating my problem areas.* Overall, I thoroughly enjoy my experience each and every time I visit Gorgeous Nails. The staff takes their time and always does a great job. read more

Very rude, I asked them to soak off my dip nail extensions and they refused. Apparently here in Modesto they "pop" them off then drill. I never saw this before, but I know if one of the tips"pops" off accidentally it damages my nail. I have my nails done in NY, DC, Miami and Boston regularly and they ALWAYS soak off the tips with acetone and protect your skin with Vaseline. Sometimes they use hot gloves to expedite the process but these nail techs were rude and lazy they wouldn't do it and try to ruin your nails with their cheap technique. I told them I would pay extra and they still refused. read more

My daughter and I walked in to get pedicures and gel manicures. They greeted us and asked us to pick out nail colors. Our pedicures were done first and very well. They forgot that we wanted manicures so we were left sitting for a long time. I tried to ask, but either the girl didn't hear me or didn't understand. When we did get seated for the manicures, it went fairly quickly though. My only complaint is that the girl who did my gel manicure applied the polish too close to my cuticle in some places (see pic). With gel manicures, you want to apply it a bit away from the cuticle so as it grows out, it stays adhered better. I will try to file down the flap in a couple days to see if that helps. read more

I wish I could give no stars !! I am literally so pissed. I came here for a pedicure and told the manager that I was very particular and that I needed someone very experienced. I go to the same lady in Los Angeles and just happened to be visiting a friend and thought I'd swing by. This was the most disgusting experience ever. I stopped her mid way though her cutting my nails I said I was okay and didn't want to move forward because it was obvious she didn't know what she was doing or just didn't care. Either way I wanted to go somewhere else. She and the rest of the staff ensured I would be happy at the end & that she could finish the job properly. Long story short the end result was crap. Polish sucked, scrub sucked, and she put a bunch of lotion on my skin while it was still wet -_-. It was just horrible and I won't be back. Do not come here. read more

Horrible service, I get it with the whole Covid their understaffed but c'mon get it together. I had made sure to call and schedule and appt which I did the lady in the phone told me 11:45 I came in at exactly 11:40 sat down and no one of the lady's bothered to look at me. I waited until finally a lady told me to come sit down yet, I sat their with the water running and no one attended me. Smh not coming here again! read more

I have been coming here for several months but today was the worst customer service experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I don't mind waiting, but once I was told to go to my chair I waited another 30min while they helped 2 people that came after me. Once of the girls apologized but clearly they don't know that my time is valuable and I as a customer I am just as important as those other two that were helped before me. They need a better system or they just don't care. Probably the last time I will ever go there. read more

Mom and I went in today. They were busy, but not full. The place seems reasonably clean. My manicure was ok, my mom enjoyed her pedicure. Only PROBLEM is my hands and around my nails are not soft and moisturized- it seems like the products they use are lesser quality. BUT, good for the price. read more

Gorgeous Nails is now open, went in for a pedicure yesterday, Fong did an amazing job. They did go up on the price it s now 25.00 for a pedicure instead of 20.00. I guess they are trying to make up for being closed for the last few months due to Covid-19. My feet look and feel great will definitely be back in a few weeks. read more

PROS: Shopping mall is very nice CONS: The moment I walked in I received a cold stare. As though I was supposed to know exactly what that meant... ***It means you're not welcomed***. Please! If there's a "way" things are done in your establishment, PLEASE use KINDNESS!! That's all... I just wanted to get my nails done, not to be scolded that you cannot help me until you help the others sitting down... just tell your new AND yes your existing customers, "Hi! Nice to see you! Please sit down, your wait may be a couple of minutes, but, pick out a color and relax!" IS THAT HARD?? Nope, because, it takes MORE energy to be negative than to be positive! Just saying! read more

So I was here a long time ago and had great service. I've returned a second time and third. So far the level of service hasn't been great. With the second visit, they served a customer right away, that literally had JUST walked in. We were sitting in the waiting area for a long while already, and the audacity of this customer to look over to the people that had already been waiting, and then for her mosey on over to one of the available stations and plop her @$$ down in the empty seat was a bold move on her part. I then overheard her say to the nail tech, "Can you take care of me real quick?" ... I wanted to angrily take my fist and punch this lady in the back of her head. With the third visit, no one was sitting at the front desk, so I sat down in the waiting area. Then it just so happened that a woman walked in as the nail tech was walking back to her station, and the nail tech took care of her! There were 2 others in the waiting area to be taken care of next. No mention of this lady having an appointment either. The employees need to better acknowledge the people who are sitting in the waiting, instead of people walking in. read more

Pros: Super cheap! For a pedi it's only $18 Cons: 1.They do hot stones with their pedis which is usually a plus but they do it when your feet are dry...dry feet + dry stones = kinda painful lol 2.They do accept credit cards but no place to put a tip so make sure to bring a cash tip 3. When you walk in it feels kind of awkward cause they don't rlly give you any direction on what to do/where to go 4. They don't have different pedi packages to choose from like most other nail places it's just one type of pedi read more

I wouldn't waste my time coming here for a relaxing session of getting your pedicure or nail's done. The staff is very rude they talk about you amongst each other. Yes, I called and made an appt. I had to call back and reschedule for 3:30 appt. I had fallen down. I'm disabled due to a aneurysm and a stroke. Therefore, I waited. Then the owner asked me if I could wait 20 min and she would give me 40% off. Ok, I was wrong it was a 8's off. I was very nice and told the gal to come up to the front desk regarding her tip. She never came. So I paid. Also, I was so upset that the owner put my $8's on a gift certificate. She stated she would give me the discount on that day of service. Anyways, get the translator APP. and act like your on your phone. It will be translated in English. What their saying about u and everyone else!!! Evil vibe here...!!! Oh, I'm not nice. Just be I stick up for myself. When your trying to take advantage of me. You shouldn't even have taken that ladies daughter. You did be your friends. RUDE!!! read more

My husband and I love coming here every two weeks. I haven't been this satisfied with a nail salon in a long time. We get pedis and manis, except I add Shellac. Demi, Mai, and Amy are all excellent. The others seem to have happy customers who know them. I think there are a lot of repeat customers here. Very clean as well and the new pedi chairs are so comfy. Making an appointment does help, especially during peak times like weekends. read more

A HUGE thank you to Gorgeous Nails for taking on my my whole bridal party! I had booked an appointment for 9 people on a Saturday morning.... and then forgot I said Saturday and showed up on Friday like an idiot with my whole party... They were so incredibly kind and accommodating even though it was obviously my fault. Luckily they were almost finished with the current clients and were able to seat us quickly. I had the pleasure of having Thu take care of me. I got an upgraded pedicure where she scrubbed my feet with a beautifully orange- scented scrub and made my toes sparkle! Then she worked on my gel mani. She was so friendly and particular about the quality of the mani (which I'm very particular, so I was a big fan of that). Her technique was flawless and gorgeous! Overall, we had an amazing and relaxing time there! They even let us drink mimosas that my bridesmaids had brought in! Everyone I brought with me had a fantastic time there! My manicure never chipped or got wonky and my nails grew really strong which one of my other bridesmaids noticed for herself too! Thank you again to Gorgeous Nails!! read more

This place is awesome, although it was a little awkward the ladies weren't as friendly as I would have liked and I did make and appointment and had to wait a few minutes it was well worth it! I recommend making an appointment and definitely will be back for pedicures. read more

They were really dead when I went in. Man sits right in front of the door when you walk in asks you to pick a color. They do a pretty good job I guess, nice hot stone massage on your legs and feet. Felt really nice. The lady I had massaged my foot really well. Right where the arch is, kinda hurt but when she released it felt good. The only downside is that their nail polish is cheap. Cracks and chips in couple days. read more

I had gotten a pedicure a few years ago from this nail salon and thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately, this was not the case when I went in this time. I wanted to treat myself to their mani/pedi special but had to stop any further services after I was done with my manicure. Ok, first I was taken by the man manicurist. He filed my natural nails into a french tip shape slightly rough...but I put up with it. Then he started cutting my cuticles and Flippen gashed two of my fingers and made me bleed! He seemed to not pay attention while doing my nails and was looking around talking to people not even paying attention to what his task at hand was. I suppose one of his appts came in b/c I was then transferred to the girl manicurist. She, much more gentle, continued working on my other hand (All the while my left hand fingers were steadily bleeding out). She too unfortunately clipped a finger on my rt hand and I started to bleed! So I told her uhh hey I'm kinda bleeding over here can you give me a cotton ball! Dang, seriously I was not happy with this place. The uncertainty of their tool sanitation plagued my mind as I sat there with now 3 fingers with open wounds :/ Not a relaxing or even enjoyable experience. I payed 10 bucks for by fingers to become vulnerable to infectious bacteria!!!! Oh gosh seriously this salon experience made me experience anxiety! As soon as I got home I poured peroxide on all my fingers and put a topical triple anti-biotic on. Also, I'd like to add....the nail polish selection was not very good. Almost all their colors are shimmery, even though Matte colors are the current trend. The nail color that I did chose"teenage pink" was sort of sticky and took forever to dry, one of the other nail tech had to actually fix almost all my nails b/c when I went to get my wallet out and pay the nail polish wrinkled and smeared. All in all, I will never be going back to Gorgeous Nails or any other like "Nail Mill" probably eVer! The threat of getting a bacterial infection from uncertain sanitation and care greatly outweighs my desire to do something nice for myself. I won't be going back as today is the 3rd day since getting my manicure and my wounded fingers have little scabs and are inflamed surrounding the cuticle in which the damage was inflicted :( read more

Any time I've gone in there always so careless and sloppy. Went in today to give them one last chance and they told me to come back later that they were busy. I was the only one waiting in the lobby took my business else where and satisfied read more

I went to Gorgeous Nails for the first time the other day. Several of my friends recommended this place. It wasn't busy when I went and I wanted a pedi and gel mani. When I left everything was great. Later that night the polish chipped on one of my toe nails. The next day several of my finger nail polish chipped. I went back 3 days after I had my nails done and the same lady fixed them all. Today is 2 days after that and 3 of my toe nails have chipped and gel polish has come off 4 of my nails. I have never had this happen before and especially not less than a week after getting them done. I'm sure if I went back they would fix it again but I don't have time for that. Needless to say, I am never going back here. read more

I have been too Gorgeous Nails before and they did a decent job on my pedicure. That's why I'm giving this three stars. Unfortunately on this visit the woman who did my pedicure was extremely rough and made this an extremely painful experience, she even drew blood on one toe. Unfortunately I did not catch her name or I would let you know to avoid her. So I probably will go back I will just definitely go to someone else there for my pedicure. read more
