Great price on the product I needed. It was shipped and arrived prior to the date on the order.

I ordered fan grease filters for above my stove. When they arrived 1 was damaged. I took a picture of it and forwarded it in an email to them. They sent me replacements right away and they arrived in perfect shape. I will definitely look to them for any future purchases I need. read more

I am glad to have received lightbulbs that were difficult to find at a fair price. I did not receive shipping information when item shipped. When the box finally arrived, after 14 days, the box was caved in on one side and one flap wasn't secured with the tape. I checked each of the 6 bulbs inside and miraculously they were all intact. read more

I ordered a replacement filter for my Brian hood. the hood hat two filter panels so I assumed when I ordered that the pack also has two since the cost are 80 $ but it has only one. who replaces just one filter, really! anyway very disappointed. I will order a second but for 160$ I probably would have been close to a new hood . read more

It was a pleasant experience dealing with the Sales department on my order. However, I ordered a Reflector assembly & Grille. The shipment arrived with the bulb assembly and Grille but no reflector. I called and was told that I ship what I ordered and without the reflector part number, I couldn't be helped. The point was, I ordered the reflector but did not receive one of the pieces. I finished the project by adapting the old light assembly to my old reflector. So, nice people, not so good at Customer Service. read more

Do not order from this place. I ordered two small items three months later I still have not received them. No one has notified me of anything. I had to reach out to the company on three different occasions looking for the items I purchased. I work for an electric company, we will never order from this company again. Very poor customer service. Please do not waste your time here go somewhere else. read more

Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with, horrible communication skills, horrible customer service, once they get your money everything is out of your control they have back ordered my items that they guaranteed me shipping on. I will be leaving a review on every site possible. Just a little information for the business owner is communication is a huge plus I am an electrical contractor under contract with the government you guys promised me my items by a certain date and then pushed my order back then gave me a new shipping date which was five days ago I have called and left numerous messages no one returns my calls nobody seems to know the tracking information this is the worst customer service and business I have ever dealt with. Use a local vendor to anybody reading this review read more

Wow. Even with the bad reviews I thought I try to order from Gordon Electric Supply. Ordered online, received order confirmation. On web site said would ship out in 24-48 hours. Waited several days and after not hearing anything called in to see if order had shipped yet. Customer Service looked order up and told me it was "Canceled" by "Rob" and a full refund was issued. Sure would be nice if they let the customers know this. Never received any notice of order cancellation Seems this has happened before by reading through other reviews. Yep..... bad company should of known by the other reviews. AVOID and go elsewhere. read more

I needed an electric sub panel mail circuit breaker for my photovoltaic array mains interconnect. Amazon is usually my goto source. They had one at a higher price and a 4-week lead time. Gordon Electric had the correct part on hand, and shipped it at a reasonable cost in a very timely manner. Amazon failed big time on this order and I was happy that Gordon Electric Supply showed they had the breaker and had it at a lower cost with no 4-week lead time that Amazon had. Amazon canciled my original order without notification. read more

I give Randy 0 stars! I called to ask a question regarding availability and shipment of some items and I was so unfortunate to have gotten Randy as "help". He said he was sure I could count and figure out the shipping lead time myself and hung up. So Unprofessional. Apparently I'm not the only one he's been a jerk to. read more

It took almost 4 weeks to get the parts I ordered. One of the 3 parts was broken in transit. Your representative said another one would be sent right away. One month later, I haven't received it and can't get a straight answer regarding when the part will arrive. Home Depot would have been much better. read more

I should have looked at the BBB site before I ordered from them. Customer Service is anything but that. They have a product misrepresented on their site and have no concern for making it right. They are quick to respond that that's the way it is and then no response, shut off. Reminds me of a bratty teenager. The shipping is also extremely slow. I ended up calling the manufacturer myself, explaining the problem and they sent me the part at no charge. Try that next time customer no service, BOOO on you! read more

I needed an over-sized outlet cover and when I Googled for one I went directly to Gordon Electric Supply for it. I ordered it on Friday, June 7th and received it on Wednesday, June 17th. Super fast shipping!!! The outlet cover was exactly as described and is perfect for my application. I highly recommend Gordon Electric Supply. read more

Placed my order 19 May. Even though it was in stock the receipt (after I paid -- no notice before completing my order) indicated it would ship 28 May. That date came and went with no email, no package, nothing. So I emailed on 31 May asking what was going on and saying I though the service was poor. Finally received a response 2 days later simply stating the order was scheduled to ship 4 June. No explanation, no apology, no concession. I won't order from them again. read more

Never again will I order from them. I placed an order for an electrical box not once did they let me know that it was on back order. I found out after several tries of trying to get a hold of them. When I finally found out it was on back order I had them cancel it and I wanted my money back. Then again no luck in getting my money back I had to involve my bank and file a claim. Really bad customer service. read more

Gordon has everything I need but getting it is too difficult! Some order taker at the Kankakee store named ***** took my order (later I had to cancel due to the order taker's poor performance). Not certain I have ever had a customer experience quite like it. Seems that his brand of performance, customer service, promptness, courtesy, manners and professionalism would be more than any company could stand. I thought I was dealing with a government agent until I realized none of them are like that and most are much, much better. Does he wish to sabotage Gordon Electric? On the other hand, the lady who cancelled the order was both professional and decent to work with. I am sorry that her employment and success is tied to his. What can I say, 0% performance and 100% rude... what a deal! So far, I've only spent a few $k with Gordon but should I have to work so hard to spend any more? read more

I ordered 4 Satco bulbs over one month ago, and have received no communication from them nor the product. I have now cancelled my order and requested a refund. I suggest you not waste your time or money with Gordon Electric, and instead do business elsewhere. read more

I am still waiting on my order of "in stock" items to be completed. Now almost 4 weeks. I left 2 voice mails with your customer service supv. and not heard a peep back. The customer service rep. I am working with now tells me the warehouse has not sent tracking info on the remaining items that have been sitting around the warehouse for who knows how long?? You would think the rep. might ask just what the ----- is going on. . . I paid in full for this order almost a month ago. Now an additional charge has hit my credit card, I asked about the charge and no one seems to know what it is?? Is it your custom to hold and use a customer's credit card after initial in full payment without notifying them? read more

Waited two months for the part I ordered . . . when it finally came, it was not what I ordered. Receipt said "May not be eligible for return." I threw it in the garbage and ordered what I needed from Amazon. Not worth wasting my time! read more

I ordered a part online from Gordon on July 2nd. It initially said the item would be delivered on July 10th. On the 14th-15th no delivery. I called. Not shipped yet. On July 30th the absolute wrong item was delivered. Not sure why a Instamatic timer looks like a meter pan but that is what I got. Customer service was nice but my customer is still waiting. Pretty poor job all the way around. read more

Absolute worst buying experience ever! They source directly from the manufacturer (at least for me) and can't provide any update. I tried to cancel my order after weeks of waiting but they ghost you! Finally had to call my bank to help get a credit. Run, don't walk to ANYWHERE else. read more

Bought a range hood off a classified ad and unfortunately, a part was missing. Gordon Electric not only had the part for half the price on Sears, but they offered to ship UPS so I would receive it the next day since I was also in IL. A little bit of pass the call in the beginning, but once I got to the right person, it was quick and easy to get the part necessary for the hood range to work properly. read more

Gordon Electric Supply came up on a parts search for my electrical project. They were helpful on the phone to find a couple parts, verify details on another, and all items were listed as in stock on the website. I placed the order which stated it ships in 5-7 days usually. I expected delays with Covid. However, after 2 weeks I had no order and no email updated. I called and was told two of the 3 parts I ordered were in transit. The following week, still no order, and no update. I called again and was told one item was backorder and would not be in for another month. The sales rep apologized that the information given was wrong. Some of the items I ordered are available at the local Home Depot and some at the CED Electrical Supply. I asked them to ship what they had and refund the items they did not have. This order was started has been pending for almost a month. It will be a month before I get a partial order. Should have read the reviews on YELP first, apparently this is standard operating procedure for them. read more

Awful customer service. They accused of us of being a fraudulent account, and even after we gave them all documents they asked for, they still treated us terribly. They then proceeded to charge our credit card for the order. We have had to e-mail them four times, to get a response as to when the order will ship. When they do respond, they tell us the charge declined, after they sent us a receipt showing it went through. Looking at our credit card statement we were able to verify the charge did not decline, and it in fact did go through. This company is very unprofessional. Never again. read more

Placed my order on a Monday and received a confirmation email shortly afterwards. A few hours later I then received an order update.. the order had shipped. I waited a few days, then logged into their website and my order showed indeed that it had shipped on the Monday.. but no tracking information was available. I waited until the following Monday (a whole week since the order had supposedly shipped) and called to ask if they had tracking information. I was told they couldn't find the order but they took note of the order number and assured me they would get me an answer later that morning. At 4:30pm I called as i had not heard back and I needed to schedule my team around the delivery of the items I had ordered. Customer service was quite dismissive and made it abundantly clear that they were working on this but it was at a "different warehouse" and it wasn't that simple but they would get back to me "first thing" the next day. Around 4pm that next day (shocking that no-one had reached out as promised) I called and again customer service was quite clear that they were inconvenienced by having to deal with this. This time however they were able find my order and see the tracking info but wouldn't share it when directly asked. They would only tell me the order was to be delivered the next day. The order did arrive the next day and it was indeed coming from a different warehouse.. direct shipped from the manufacturer down the road from us. It had been shipped the the day before and not a 8 days ago as shown on the Gordon Electric website. I'm secure enough to think this doesn't diminish the size of their company but Gordon Electric sure wanted me to think they have multiple warehouses all over the place and that was that they couldn't keep up with it should somehow reassure me that they weee on top of this. The next day I got a shipping confirmation email saying the order would be delivered yesterday. This was such a special situation but had they been honest and followed up as promised then it would have just been a minor annoyance. At this point unless I want confused dismissive customer service and orders that show up way later than promised from a company that would rather I think they mismanage multiple warehouses than that they forgot to put an order in with a manufacturer then I think I'll go anywhere else in future! To the manufacturers credit the items were well packaged and exactly as promised. read more

took 4 months to receive the part I ordered! so after two weeks I figured I got got scammed so I reordered the part 150$ from Ace hardware, go figure and received the part in three days finished the house we were building and had given up on the part that arrived from Gordon 3 months later! um I was skeptical about the order and I was correct, I would never order a part from Gordon electric ever again! 4 months we already finished the whole house custom build two months prior! read more

They desrve a zero star. The other multiple reviews about ecommerce and not delivering is my experience as well. Ordered and of course instantly charged my card. No communication until we call. False stated ship dates. Return some emails but ignore others. 2 months later of waiting I requested a refund. You've held my money long enough. Never again...DO NOT order from this company !! I understand there is supply issues but then you need to show inventory/availability or state when ordering that it is delayed and communicate. Very poor rude customer service as well. read more

Didn't receive the product that I ordered. Would not send me a shipping label for return. Will never deal with these people again.

Ordered was Not shipped on time, very Rudd when I called, Beware bad company to order from on internet....

Ordered some outlets. Beware, what came was different that the picture of the item. Their excuse was, well we have a statement that says pictures may be different. This statement is used for slight cosmetic differences, not for totally different products. Their pic was of something they don't even carry anymore but it had the same SKU as the item I needed. I have a webstore and changing a picture literally takes 2 minutes. Even after I returned the items, that wrong picture is still on their website. read more

Be AWARE... if you purchase an item from Gordon Electric online your credit card will be charged at the time of order..... REGARDLESS if the item is available for shipping. It's taking too long to receive the order. It's been 10 days and I'm still waiting for a single box of light bulbs. UPS has delayed delivery date twice. I've concluded Gordon Electric is nothing more than a website brokering orders for others. Will not use this company again. read more

I called to ask about getting a part. The lady that answered the phone basically said they don't have time, it was 5 minutes after they opened, She wanted to know if I wanted them to call back later and leave a voicemail. If they don't have time for a customer, then I have no time to waste waiting for them to call back. It was a good company, but that was years ago with the original owners. Now, it's "New and Improved", by new people that think they know how to do it better. On to the next call, there has to be someone that will want to do business. Or eBay does have the part I'm looking for, and so does Amazon. If they don't want my business, there are other companies that do. Shame, it's a local business that will eventually sink because of poor service. read more

Horrible customer service!!! Do NOT order from them. I asked for a manager and got Randy who said they called Mulberry to check status of my order when Margaret told me she emailed Mulberry for a status update. They need to get their stories straight. Not good. Ordered items from them that they said were in stock. They are located near Chicago, me SE Wisc. Slow boat shipping would get product to me in 2 days. 2nd day called them for status and tracking number. No call back, 3rd day called again to get status and tracking number, given tracking number and told " looking into status". Checked UPS tracking#, no info. Called their shipping/status rep. Product not shipped yet, they did not have in stock, shipping from mfg. days later. So, if you have a real need, do not rely on Gordon for accurate or truthful information. Not sourcing from them in future. read more
