I reached out for a quote on 12/2/19, material was quoted with a 4-6 week lead time & I ordered same day. I reached out for an update on 1/10/20, 3 days before the 6 week due date. I was contacted by email and said an expedite request was put in. I sent 4 more emails in 3 weeks, no response again. Material is now 3 weeks late and the rep won't return my calls or emails. I called in to get with someone else who was more helpful but the problems persisted. When I did make contact with someone else, it took another week to find out that the facility that MFR's the product had CLOSED. The material was due a month ago at this point per the quote Gordon provided. A few updates and new ETA's later, I have a tracking number and am STILL waiting for the delivery of this material double the MAXIMUM lead time I was given. The most infuriating part was that there was no attempt to communicate any of this back to me, I had to systematically extract this info out of Gordon Electric step by step, email by email, phone call by phone call and month after month after literal month. I will not be returning and I will not be using the $5 off your next purchase coupon. Not delivering material on time causes planned work to be re-planned and done again for which $5 is not worth the headache. read more

Seriously bad customer service. Site says in stock, once purchased told its not in stock. Order not placed when it was purchased. Then minimum quantity updated to reflect (2) units and this was after not placing the original order or updating us about the minimum. Then told delivery date to warehouse and estimated delivery to us. Item no shows, so contacted them again only to find out that its now on backorder for another month, if it ever does arrive. Take your business elsewhere, these guys are horrible. read more

Ordered two parts online that were listed as "in stock". I then checked after several weeks as nothing was received but my charge card had been immediately charged on the day I ordered. I was told that one of the parts is now in their hands but the other will still take 4 to 6 weeks to obtain and they will send me both parts when they have both of them in hand. I have ZERO confidence in them and their practices. Stay Away! read more

Poor customer service skills. Online shows I can order. On phone I was told they don't have in stock. And person was rude. Why are you in this business? If you are unhappy talking to your customers! read more

Close in to a month - not ship a product, no communication whatsoever. Not worth your business.

They post shipping times on their website that they can't support and after calling them to discuss, they really don't care...stay away.

I found exactly what i was looking for a silver/Crome, 46" range hood. ( fan and light.included) the price was much less than I was expecting to pay. It was less than expensive than the building home stores, and they couldn't order the size I m needed/ wanted( replaced same size) Just make sure, measure all dimensions. Length great, hangs lower over stove, and its curved, (angles) where previous hood was square. So a little more decorating, !! . Just some painting ! read more

Ordered part in July, charged a bundle for shipping, got notice today that the UPS label had been created but that UPS didn't have it yet - and when they did I would get it in another week. I have been asking customer service for a week when they wouild ship the item, and never got a reponse. Apparently my experience is not unusual, and I wish I had checked this site before ordering from them; I will not make the same mistake twice. read more

Poor communication. Was told order would ship in 5-7 business days. By my count, didn't ship until 25 business days later (ordered March 9th, shipped April 13th). Sent multiple emails requesting cancellation on April 1st as it was well beyond the 5-7 business day threshold at that point; never received a follow-up. read more

Absolutely the worst online experience I've ever had. Ordered electrical boxes in March was charged for the order in April although I had never received the order. Was told by Brad at Gordon electric estimated shipment days which never occurred. I have never had a reputable company charge my credit card before the actual shipment was made. Absolutely no help from Bread at Gordon electric. All he kept saying was estimated shipment date was two weeks to three weeks ahead of the date he responded to my email. Will never ever ever order from them again. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

Ordered a transformer on 7/9/2021 was told it would ship in 3 days. Called 3 times in a week to get tracking # and was told each time I would get a call back. I got my order so quickly! I didn't even expect it so soon! I ordered a face civery for an older wall heater that was very difficult to find elsewhere. Just had the rudest telephone interaction with a customer service agent at Gordon Electric I have ever had in my life. He did not want to listen to my straightforward question, insulted my accent, and hung up on me as soon as he dared. This may be the worst online purchasing experience I've ever had. I ordered some electrical equipment for a jobsite. They confirmed the purchase and said they'd send details on the shipping. Which they never did. I sent a message inquiry and they said part of the order wouldn't arrive for another few days and they would ship the following day. They'd never informed me the items were not in stock. I waited a couple of days after they were supposed to ship. When I finally got someone on the phone they said now the items were backordered. This after previously telling me the items were on the way. So almost 30 days after my original order I told them that was enough and to issue me a refund. They said they would but I've still not seen it. Stay away from this company. They are not reliable. read more

Can't even begin to describe how annoying this site is. They frequently show up as having an item in stock that I am looking for. I have learned to ALWAYS call and ask, they will let an order go through, regardless of whether it is in stock or not, and then inform me in a day or 2 or sometimes 5 that they don't have the item. I just got off the phone with yet another person telling me that the item that is described online as "usually ships in 3-5 days" is backordered and out of stock. I voiced my annoyance and the guy actually had the gall to argue with me, he said "it doesn't actually say in stock" then hung up. I personally would say to steer clear of this website. read more

They don't indicate if the item you are trying to purchase is actually in stock. I placed an order and after three weeks I had to call several times to get an update on my order. Customer no service. Ordered a part and a week or two went by before they told me it wasn't in stock and they were ordering it. Another two weeks, I had to call back 2 times and they told me it would be another 2 months. They then said it was because of covid with manufacturing... That has nothing to do with pathetic customer service. Find your part somewhere else. They may have the lowest price but you may never get what you order. read more

I ordered some components because of the lower price than Amazon. It took more than a month to get the parts to come to me, delaying my project and the electrical inspection. I had to call more than six times to get info on my shipment, and the shipping date kept changing every time without a satisfactory answer. Many times, the CS rep told me they would "get back to me as soon as possible" with info regarding my order, but I never heard back from that rep. It wasn't worth the price to deal with this complete lack of acceptable service. I'm not shopping with Gordon Electric again. read more

Average is two stars with good reason. Ordered online simple items; 10V transformer and a doorbell pushbutton. No receipt of items. Terrible online experience. Ordered 2 outlets on April 3rd and was told the item ships the next day, or within 5-7 days. April 5th, I receive an invoice that gives me a shipping date of April 14th. April 18th, I receive an email asking me to confirm that I received the delivery, so I email support saying that I have NOT received a delivery. The following day they respond and I'm given a new estimated shipping date of April 24th. It's May 1st and I'm no longer getting any response from customer support, and I have no idea what is going on with my order. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE if you have any intention of using the item within the next 2 months. Even then, that's only to give you enough time to give up on Gordon Electric and order from anywhere else instead. Update: "Owner" messaged me here on Yelp asking for my order number so that they could attempt to sort this out. I have received no response back from them after messaging them my order number. I spent 30 minutes on hold with customer support before giving up and trying to email them again to cancel my order. I received an email confirming that my order had been cancelled, only for them to charge my card a second time for the order. Not a refund, but another charge for the exact same amount. I feel like the only thing that works at Gordon Electric is their system for charging customers, and everything else runs on a whac-a-mole machine. read more

OH-HOW-YOU-SUUUUK Ordering from this company was one of the worst online-ordering mistakes I have ever made. Took my order on July 1, dinged my card the same day, and then... and then... I waited for 9 days to get... to get... half of the order with the balance back ordered. So today, July 14, was the day I was supposed to receive the balance. But wait... but wait... another back order! And my job just sits there because they back ordered the lock nuts that fasten the conduit to the junction box. During the entire process, I received not one notice that some items were not in stock. They must have (or should have) known they could not ship the entire order immediately. In my opinion, this is a take-the-money-and-worry-about-filling-the-order-later, enterprise. Borders on sleazy in my opinion. I could have done better by going to a hardware store. Looking at their website, it appears as a huge organization with many employees and a huge inventory. Performance wise, it's more like some guy named Swifty working out of his parent's basement. Stay clear of this company. Ordered a part on 10 June with no indication that it was out of stock. Estimated ship date was 16 June. Nothing happened by then so I emailed. They stated that part would not arrive at their warehouse until 27 Jun, meaning it was never in stock. I emailed again on 30 June only to be told that part would not arrive to them till 28 Jul. I cancelled order. But BTW, they collected the money on the day the order was placed. They are not honest about their stock status. If they don't have the part on hand, then they should say so....not take folks' money and then sit on it. Terrible company! read more

I can now honestly say that I have found the worst customer service in America. Thank you for that Gordon Electric. I ordered a simple 30 amp. double pole breaker on August 10, 2020. The product showed in stock and two day lead time. I called today, August 27, 17 days later to find out what was going on. As you can imagine, when you order a breaker, you need a breaker. The customer service rep said, yeah... we are trying to get through orders and that will not be in stock until the end of September at least. When I told him the breaker showed in stock, he said Yeah....our site is not accurate. Nice. I asked him to refund my card since I cannot wait indefinitely for a breaker and he hung up on me. Even nicer. Do yourself a favor and just go elsewhere. It will save you time and effort in the long run. These guys are rude and a joke of an online business. read more

Joe Golwitzer lied about shipping dates, item never shipped but kept money.

Fast , great service, competitive price..

Not impressed with Gordon Electric's customer support. Ordered a rather expensive Intermatic electrical enclosure, took almost a week to receive. Upon opening the box we found out that tthe manufacturer forgot to include both mounting brackets. Numerous calls with follow-up emails were made over the next several days. Finally received an email from Gordon Electric a couple of days later with a short note that said the parts were to be sent directly from the manufacturer. No tracking number, no shipping address nothing. Today is August 22nd, still no parts. Original order was place August 3rd. Normal business's would have provided an RMA number and shipped a new unit in the meantime. Unfortunately, I cannot endorse companies that espouse to be internet efficient but can't resolve simple ordering issues. read more

I called today with a question and I was attempting to get information from the electric salesman. It was clear he did not want to help me. As I was discussing my issue with him, he just said I can't help you and hung up on me. There was no negativity. We were not arguing. I wasn't being a "Karen". Terrible customer service. We ordered a shipment on 11/7/19 and were told it would ship out the following day, in plenty of time, for our 11/18 install. (They managed to bill us and get the money from our bank by the 8th!) It was not shipped until 11/13, FIVE days after promised, and we will not get our shipment in time to please our customer. We called the office and "Greg" could not have cared less, and told us to send an email to customer service, which we did, requesting that they try to expedite with the shipper, for an early Monday delivery, and to please let us know what the outcome was, as we needed to update our customer in a timely manner. We called 3 hours later for an update, and after 3 other people answered the line, we were finally transferred back to Greg. Greg didn't seem to have any idea what we was calling about, as he had "had a whole lot of phone calls today". After reminding him of the details, he said "someone was probably working on it and they would get back to me". This was 9 minutes until they closed. We asked him how we would contact them after hours, if no one got back to us. He said he didn't know. When we asked him to check, he put us on hold and never came back to the line. We tried calling again 3 minutes before closing, and they had already turned on their answering machine. Not even a hint of an apology at any point in time. If our product arrives in time, I will come back and change this, but at this point it seems highly unlikely. UPDATE: Monday at 9:30 am (11:30 their time)-We still haven't had any return phone calls or updates from the company. read more
