Seriously bad customer service. Site says in stock, once purchased told its not in stock. Order not placed when it was purchased. Then minimum quantity updated to reflect (2) units and this was after not placing the original order or updating us about the minimum. Then told delivery date to warehouse and estimated delivery to us. Item no shows, so contacted them again only to find out that its now on backorder for another month, if it ever does arrive. I reached out for a quote on 12/2/19, material was quoted with a 4-6 week lead time & I ordered same day. I reached out for an update on 1/10/20, 3 days before the 6 week due date. I was contacted by email and said an expedite request was put in. I sent 4 more emails in 3 weeks, no response again. Material is now 3 weeks late and the rep won't return my calls or emails. I called in to get with someone else who was more helpful but the problems persisted. When I did make contact with someone else, it took another week to find out that the facility that MFR's the product had CLOSED. The material was due a month ago at this point per the quote Gordon provided. A few updates and new ETA's later, I have a tracking number and am STILL waiting for the delivery of this material double the MAXIMUM lead time I was given. The most infuriating part was that there was no attempt to communicate any of this back to me, I had to systematically extract this info out of Gordon Electric step by step, email by email, phone call by phone call and month after month after literal month. I will not be returning and I will not be using the $5 off your next purchase coupon. Not delivering material on time causes planned work to be re-planned and done again for which $5 is not worth the headache. read more

Ordered two parts online that were listed as "in stock". I then checked after several weeks as nothing was received but my charge card had been immediately charged on the day I ordered. I was told that one of the parts is now in their hands but the other will still take 4 to 6 weeks to obtain and they will send me both parts when they have both of them in hand. I found exactly what i was looking for a silver/Crome, 46" range hood. ( fan and light.included) the price was much less than I was expecting to pay. It was less than expensive than the building home stores, and they couldn't order the size I m needed/ wanted( replaced same size) Just make sure, measure all dimensions. Can't even begin to describe how annoying this site is. They frequently show up as having an item in stock that I am looking for. I have learned to ALWAYS call and ask, they will let an order go through, regardless of whether it is in stock or not, and then inform me in a day or 2 or sometimes 5 that they don't have the item. I just got off the phone with yet another person telling me that the item that is described online as "usually ships in 3-5 days" is backordered and out of stock. Absolutely the worst online experience I've ever had. Ordered electrical boxes in March was charged for the order in April although I had never received the order. Was told by Brad at Gordon electric estimated shipment days which never occurred. I have never had a reputable company charge my credit card before the actual shipment was made. Absolutely no help from Bread at Gordon electric. All he kept saying was estimated shipment date was two weeks to three weeks ahead of the date he responded to my email. This may be the worst online purchasing experience I've ever had. I ordered some electrical equipment for a jobsite. They confirmed the purchase and said they'd send details on the shipping. Which they never did. I sent a message inquiry and they said part of the order wouldn't arrive for another few days and they would ship the following day. They'd never informed me the items were not in stock. I waited a couple of days after they were supposed to ship. When I finally got someone on the phone they said now the items were backordered. This after previously telling me the items were on the way. So almost 30 days after my original order I told them that was enough and to issue me a refund. I ordered some components because of the lower price than Amazon. It took more than a month to get the parts to come to me, delaying my project and the electrical inspection. I had to call more than six times to get info on my shipment, and the shipping date kept changing every time without a satisfactory answer. Many times, the CS rep told me they would "get back to me as soon as possible" with info regarding my order, but I never heard back from that rep. Terrible online experience. Ordered 2 outlets on April 3rd and was told the item ships the next day, or within 5-7 days. April 5th, I receive an invoice that gives me a shipping date of April 14th. April 18th, I receive an email asking me to confirm that I received the delivery, so I email support saying that I have NOT received a delivery. The following day they respond and I'm given a new estimated shipping date of April 24th. It's May 1st and I'm no longer getting any response from customer support, and I have no idea what is going on with my order. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE if you have any intention of using the item within the next 2 months. Even then, that's only to give you enough time to give up on Gordon Electric and order from anywhere else instead. Update: "Owner" messaged me here on Yelp asking for my order number so that they could attempt to sort this out. I have received no response back from them after messaging them my order number. I spent 30 minutes on hold with customer support before giving up and trying to email them again to cancel my order. I received an email confirming that my order had been cancelled, only for them to charge my card a second time for the order. Not a refund, but another charge for the exact same amount. Stay clear of this company. Ordered a part on 10 June with no indication that it was out of stock. Estimated ship date was 16 June. Nothing happened by then so I emailed. They stated that part would not arrive at their warehouse until 27 Jun, meaning it was never in stock. I emailed again on 30 June only to be told that part would not arrive to them till 28 Jul. I cancelled order. But BTW, they collected the money on the day the order was placed. They are not honest about their stock status. OH-HOW-YOU-SUUUUK Ordering from this company was one of the worst online-ordering mistakes I have ever made. Took my order on July 1, dinged my card the same day, and then... and then... I waited for 9 days to get... to get... half of the order with the balance back ordered. So today, July 14, was the day I was supposed to receive the balance. But wait... but wait... another back order! And my job just sits there because they back ordered the lock nuts that fasten the conduit to the junction box. During the entire process, I received not one notice that some items were not in stock. They must have (or should have) known they could not ship the entire order immediately. In my opinion, this is a take-the-money-and-worry-about-filling-the-order-later, enterprise. Borders on sleazy in my opinion. I could have done better by going to a hardware store. Looking at their website, it appears as a huge organization with many employees and a huge inventory. Performance wise, it's more like some guy named Swifty working out of his parent's basement. I can now honestly say that I have found the worst customer service in America. Thank you for that Gordon Electric. I ordered a simple 30 amp. double pole breaker on August 10, 2020. The product showed in stock and two day lead time. I called today, August 27, 17 days later to find out what was going on. As you can imagine, when you order a breaker, you need a breaker. The customer service rep said, yeah... we are trying to get through orders and that will not be in stock until the end of September at least. When I told him the breaker showed in stock, he said Yeah....our site is not accurate. Nice. I asked him to refund my card since I cannot wait indefinitely for a breaker and he hung up on me. Even nicer. Do yourself a favor and just go elsewhere. It will save you time and effort in the long run. These guys are rude and a joke of an online business. read more

I am glad to have received lightbulbs that were difficult to find at a fair price. I did not receive shipping information when item shipped. When the box finally arrived, after 14 days, the box was caved in on one side and one flap wasn't secured with the tape. I checked each of the 6 bulbs inside and miraculously they were all intact. read more
