The staff were friendly. There were so many levels of seating which included long bench/tables accommodating for groups. Wings were great! The sweet Lou's were VERY sweet! They had a strong caramelized brown sugar flavor. Hot wings were vinegary and spicy. Tater tots were perfectly fried. Great bar food and wings. Would definitely visit again!

Buffalo Chicken: 6/10 -- my sister got this and rated it a 6 (because there are no 7s on my scale). for $15+ and no side of fries this was kind of a scam sandwich lol #recessionindicator Sweet Lou's: 6/10 -- heavy on the sweet i was a fool i looooove bbq but their special "q sauce" was a bit like molasses rather than classic bbq. the patty, onion ring, and bacon were perfect but i literally could not taste them without scraping off the sticky sauce. again, $15+ and no side i feel like the flavor wasn't enough for me to recommend this to anyone. Tender & Fries: 6/10 -- what in the walmart brand frozen curly fries without salt nonsense on a plate was this... they got us LOOOOL... great value??? YEAH hard pass!!!! I was visiting my sister and she recommended this place because she had heard about it from fellow IU students. My thoughts: come for the IU memorabilia, and ambience, eat an order of onion rings (maybe sip a beer) while you watch a game and leave! The food was mediocre at best and wayyy overpriced.

I don't eat chicken but was really curious to try the "not chicken" cauliflower - I missed it the…read morefirst time they offered it, but since they brought it back a few months ago I've gotten it a few times in different forms. It's really good! People who don't like imitation meats will appreciate this because it's not trying to be chicken at all - you can clearly tell it's breaded cauliflower. Great texture when you bite into the crispy breading and get the perfectly cooked flaky cauliflower inside. The seasoning is intense and delicious. The hot is legit hot, but even the milder spice levels are still flavorful. I tried the cauli bites, tenders, and slider. The tenders are huge! The cauli bites and chicken bites are the same price, but the cauli tenders cost $2 more per tender compared to the chicken, so meals with the tenders are $2-4 more to the equivalent chicken entrees, which is kind of ridiculous because cauliflower has to be cheaper than chicken. If you are interested in the cauliflower, be aware that the batter contains dairy and egg, and it's fried in the same oil as the chicken. So it's unfortunately not suitable for vegans or vegetarians who are strict about cross-contamination. Did not have great experiences with drinks either time I tried to get something. I tried to get a Powerade slush, but was told the Powerade machine wasn't working, so I could choose another flavor if I wanted. The fruit punch was also apparently not working (although I saw the worker pour some out and it looked fine from what I could see), so I ended up with orange which didn't really do anything for me. I tried to get iced tea on another visit. I attempted to mix the unsweetened and raspberry but I think the machine may have been not working or just out of tea because I got what tasted like straight raspberry syrup and was undrinkable. I will give the tea another go if I confirm that the machine is fixed, because I like the Gold Peak tea. I think the food is fried to order, so you have to wait for the stuff to be made, but considering that, the service is timely. The place has been clean when I'm there. The indoor seating feels very industrial but there's lots of outside seating which looks nice.

The cashier was very sweet too. Popular hangout for the college kids...there was so many of them.

I couldn't begin to finish the fries from the bag and never touched the full cup. The fries are not that good. They are limp. I ordered a "little" cheeseburger with just lettuce and tomato. It was good, better than the fries, but still not worth the $16 it cost for a small burger, small fry and a fountain drink. I still think they are overpriced for fast food and you do have to wait longer and that's why they don't have a drive up window, imo.

However, they recently transitioned to small paper sacks for their fries and seriously cut back on the serving size of their fries, while increasing pr I ce and decreasing value. We have tried it out 3 times aver tue last 2 months and we have decided it may be time to stop patronizing their restaurant. I hope it is not a business wide move. The one on College Mall Road has definitely cut back on portion size. So long, Five Guys.
