My boyfriend wanted to leave, but I was curious to see just how bad things could get. Unfortunately, it didn't get much better. After finally placing our order, we waited another 30-40 minutes for our food and then an additional 10-15 minutes just to get our check. In total, we spent over an hour there--most of it just waiting. The menu was disorganized and lacked clear descriptions. The menu should either be alphabetized or categorized more effectively--separating raw, cooked, and specialty rolls more clearly. While the order sheet had some structure, many specialty rolls can also be raw or cook, making it difficult to know exactly what we were getting. When the food finally arrived, it was underwhelming. We ordered three rolls and a chirashi bowl. The chirashi bowl listed "crab meat," but it turned out to be imitation crab--something that should have been disclosed. The other rolls were forgettable, and my fried roll was poorly executed; it lacked enough batter, so instead of a crispy texture, the rice became soggy with oil. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. The excessive wait times, poor menu organization, and mediocre food make it a place I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again. If you're looking for quality sushi, I'd recommend finding another spot.

Excellent Thai restaurant with high marks for food, service, and atmosphere…read more I've tried the Thai fish cakes, sweet and sour saute, pad bus sa ra com, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea and coffee. The savoury dishes were all super flavourful, cooked well, and generously portioned. Maybe this has something to do with the dishes I got, but I think the flavours here are generally more intense than the other Thai restaurants I've tried in Bloomington, and their spice levels might be a little higher. I've been somewhat underwhelmed by level 3 (out of 5) at other places, so I tried level 4 the first time I ordered here, and it was a little too hot, so I went back to level 3 the next time, and it was just right. The Thai tea and coffee were both very good, especially the coffee. It almost tasted chocolatey. The service is consistently on top of it. I was there on Valentine's Day, and they were slammed but had enough staff on the floor for it; the food was quick as usual and everyone was still very friendly. I also love the atmosphere here. The building is one of the converted houses on 4th St, and there are different dining rooms, some with lots of windows, all filled with interesting decor, and there's also a very nice patio during the warmer seasons. The only problem here is, unless there's a back entrance I don't know about, I don't think the building is wheelchair accessible; you have to go up a few stairs to get to the main entrance.

We had a variety of dishes, including Pad…read moreThai, Massaman Curry, Pad Woon Sen, and appetizers like fish cakes, spring rolls, and their crab rangoons. All were great, fresh ingredients, served in concert, and quickly, too. This was a family meal, and all were delighted, including the children with chicken fingers and fries. We're trying to expand their horizons, but picky eaters are tough. The appetizers were especially good, and each has their own different sauce. My order was well-spiced, and there was enough taken home for a second delicious meal. This is perhaps the best and most consistent Thai food in Bloomington. There are rivals to this high throne, and we try them, too, but this is our go-to for no-compromise Thai, every order consistently great.

Got hibachi, we always get the chicken and steak, prices have gone up since we started coming here…read moreso for 2 adults with s&c, you're looking at around 75-100$. I got the shrimp tempura, and it was cold, and tasted like it was yesterdays. No crunch to the tempura whatsoever. i asked if they make it per order or one giant batch then use throught the day and the lady looked very confused. Ice cold shrimp, soggy breading, not a good mixture. Ive never had an issue with the tempura. Dinner was excellent of course. Recommend 10/10 Might want to skip sushi though. I dont recommend that. So I've read some of the reviews about how this place is really dark and dingy, when you first walk in lights are on you can see what you're doing you can see everybody there's a bar to your right and there's Booth seating for non hibachi. When you walk through the doors you're right at the desk to check in. If you look straight you can see the Hibachi room. This is a darker room so it can be more intimate. With the whole fire going on the grill, keeping it dim in the room gives it a "wow" factor and to set the mood/ambiance. Its not so dark you cant see, its just not as bright. If it's a bright room and you're having all of these fire tricks going on it's not a big wow factor. I've never had a metallic taste happen in this restaurant, nothing is wrapped in tinfoil, and I've been coming here since I moved here in 2010. Now you can sometimes get overcooked food here if the chef is overworked, but as long as you talk to them and tell them that it is overcooked they'll remake it for you. Or they'll take it off your check. Everyone here is easy going even on a super busy day. I've never had attitude from anybody. Also they don't use a bunch of sauce to Overcoat your food with flavor. A lot of other places will just load it up with teriyaki sauce and the other sauce that I can't think of the name of but the reason why they do that is because the food isn't fresh here the food is fresh. They use fresh ingredients. I've been to other Hibachi places where in their vegetables they add corn and green beans which ruins the whole flavor and then when they're cooking on the grill they add jarred garlic which is a whole different flavor that doesn't mix with the Hibachi experience. Everything is cut in front of you so if you don't think that your chicken is correctly colored you can see it and you can tell them. Again if you don't like something TALK TO THEM. They dont bite.

This place has went downhill in the past ten years. Now it is overpriced and mediocre at best. The…read morehibachi lacked flavor. The service is nothing to write home about. Will not go back.
