Spicy Shoyu Ramen with beef - A bowl of ramen featuring beef slices, a fried egg, and shredded seaweed, with a red spoon, on a restaurant table.

We went here for a birthday celebration since we were in the mood for sushi. It's located at the end of 10th street by the bypass and has its own small parking lot. I'd like to start off by saying the service was fine. The food was just meh. We had appetizers, bento boxes and ramen. My salad was kind of limp. The tempura vegetables were great though. The gyoza were deep fried which I wasn't expecting and kind of flavorless. The ramen was kind of overdone for my liking but the beef on top was tasty. The shrimp tempura rolls were not very flavorful, a little mushy and the seaweed wraps were chewy. My chicken teriyaki had an odd texture, it was kind of crunchy and dry, not in a good way, but tender-ish. The sauce was nice...In all, it was a disappointment for my son's Birthday. I don't think we will go back.

Being in a college town, you would not expect amazing sushi. I was absolutely blown away by the amazing flavors, quick service, and overall affordable prices when dining at sushi bar. The employees are amazingly respectful and kind, and the ambiance is very calm and friendly. I enjoy my date nights and quick lunches at sushi bar.

So glad my good friend Introduced me to sushi bar this week! I had very affordable Sashimi and the Hamachi and yellowtail were delicious. Looking forward to bringing my sushi addicted 10 year old back here soon. I liked the chill nice vibe. I don't like that it's close to the busy IU part of 10th St., but they do have ample parking. The service was a bit slow but a giant party got there right before us. I had the green tea and Sashimi & a tuna roll & my bill is still under $20. #sushilover

Great service! Food was good and fresh! They have a karaoke rooms on the side!!!!!!!!!!!

Fire Fire roll. Took this picture after having a few. We had to try the spiciest on their menu. - Two sushi rolls with toppings, wasabi, and pickled ginger on a white plate at a Japanese restaurant.

We started with the salad and finished with what they said was the spiciest of their menu. The quality of everything was outstanding. There were flavors and textures that gave us a full range of enjoyment. Everything was fresh. The artistry of the rolls were illustrated on the smoothness of each fish within the roll. The roe on the Rainbow roll was phenomenal with such a variety. Service was good. We will definitely be back!

Best shrimp tempura I've ever had! It was still warm in the sushi. Delicious delicious delicious. The wasabi is fresh too! Parking is a bit slim. I recommend coming on a Thursday before 5pm. Service was punctual and polite. They have a good menu. The atmosphere is very cultural. Strongly recommend!

Great man. I just wish they had pictures on their menus. This was wonderful though. Definitely recommend. For Americanized sushi lol

I'm a basic B when it comes to sushi. I am obsessed with spicy crab roll. I've tried it everywhere and this place makes it so dang good!!! They mix it up themselves and add some little green onions and spicy sauce. The rice and seaweed is never not on point. Some places rice is too hard and this rice always tastes super fresh and done perfect. They give you a good amount of crab. And their ginger dressing for the salads is excellent. My favorite sushi spot

My Japanese husband says this is the best sushi in Bloomington! $3.50 beer can't be beat too. Service is a little slow though.

Gave me food poisoning, within minutes of eating the Chirashi bowl I was throwing up. The fish smelled and tasted bad.

Siam House - Steam rice so cute

Excellent Thai restaurant with high marks for food, service, and atmosphere…read more I've tried the Thai fish cakes, sweet and sour saute, pad bus sa ra com, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea and coffee. The savoury dishes were all super flavourful, cooked well, and generously portioned. Maybe this has something to do with the dishes I got, but I think the flavours here are generally more intense than the other Thai restaurants I've tried in Bloomington, and their spice levels might be a little higher. I've been somewhat underwhelmed by level 3 (out of 5) at other places, so I tried level 4 the first time I ordered here, and it was a little too hot, so I went back to level 3 the next time, and it was just right. The Thai tea and coffee were both very good, especially the coffee. It almost tasted chocolatey. The service is consistently on top of it. I was there on Valentine's Day, and they were slammed but had enough staff on the floor for it; the food was quick as usual and everyone was still very friendly. I also love the atmosphere here. The building is one of the converted houses on 4th St, and there are different dining rooms, some with lots of windows, all filled with interesting decor, and there's also a very nice patio during the warmer seasons. The only problem here is, unless there's a back entrance I don't know about, I don't think the building is wheelchair accessible; you have to go up a few stairs to get to the main entrance.

Party of six, four adults (there is a children's menu). We had a variety of dishes, including Pad…read moreThai, Massaman Curry, Pad Woon Sen, and appetizers like fish cakes, spring rolls, and their crab rangoons. All were great, fresh ingredients, served in concert, and quickly, too. This was a family meal, and all were delighted, including the children with chicken fingers and fries. We're trying to expand their horizons, but picky eaters are tough. The appetizers were especially good, and each has their own different sauce. My order was well-spiced, and there was enough taken home for a second delicious meal. This is perhaps the best and most consistent Thai food in Bloomington. There are rivals to this high throne, and we try them, too, but this is our go-to for no-compromise Thai, every order consistently great.

Got hibachi, we always get the chicken and steak, prices have gone up since we started coming here…read moreso for 2 adults with s&c, you're looking at around 75-100$. I got the shrimp tempura, and it was cold, and tasted like it was yesterdays. No crunch to the tempura whatsoever. i asked if they make it per order or one giant batch then use throught the day and the lady looked very confused. Ice cold shrimp, soggy breading, not a good mixture. Ive never had an issue with the tempura. Dinner was excellent of course. Recommend 10/10 Might want to skip sushi though. I dont recommend that. So I've read some of the reviews about how this place is really dark and dingy, when you first walk in lights are on you can see what you're doing you can see everybody there's a bar to your right and there's Booth seating for non hibachi. When you walk through the doors you're right at the desk to check in. If you look straight you can see the Hibachi room. This is a darker room so it can be more intimate. With the whole fire going on the grill, keeping it dim in the room gives it a "wow" factor and to set the mood/ambiance. Its not so dark you cant see, its just not as bright. If it's a bright room and you're having all of these fire tricks going on it's not a big wow factor. I've never had a metallic taste happen in this restaurant, nothing is wrapped in tinfoil, and I've been coming here since I moved here in 2010. Now you can sometimes get overcooked food here if the chef is overworked, but as long as you talk to them and tell them that it is overcooked they'll remake it for you. Or they'll take it off your check. Everyone here is easy going even on a super busy day. I've never had attitude from anybody. Also they don't use a bunch of sauce to Overcoat your food with flavor. A lot of other places will just load it up with teriyaki sauce and the other sauce that I can't think of the name of but the reason why they do that is because the food isn't fresh here the food is fresh. They use fresh ingredients. I've been to other Hibachi places where in their vegetables they add corn and green beans which ruins the whole flavor and then when they're cooking on the grill they add jarred garlic which is a whole different flavor that doesn't mix with the Hibachi experience. Everything is cut in front of you so if you don't think that your chicken is correctly colored you can see it and you can tell them. Again if you don't like something TALK TO THEM. They dont bite.

This place has went downhill in the past ten years. Now it is overpriced and mediocre at best. The…read morehibachi lacked flavor. The service is nothing to write home about. Will not go back.
