Fantastic! We purposely went to try the Dolsot Bibimbap and couldn't be happier! My husband got Beef and I got Pork. The array of toppings we got were Fish Cake, Zucchini, eggplant, Pickled radish and Potatoes. I also recommend the Gokugan condiment!! My advice to you is, drop what you're doing and go get this food. Also, we got the egg roll and will be craving it forever. Our service was so friendly and helpful. WOW. This might genuinely be one of the best Korean restaurants in Bloomington, and I have no idea how I didn't discover it sooner! Pretty good Korean restaurant. We came for lunch and it was not crowded. We ordered seafood pancake, a combination of tofu soup and galbi, and japchae. It serves unlimited refillnof banchan Overall, the food is good. The Galbi is a bit chewy. I am always hungry for Korean food and K-Bap was located conveniently not too far from IU. I called and placed an order for Japjae and it was ready in about 20 minutes. This restaurant is not that big and not fancy looking but oh the food was DELICIOUS! Wanted to try something different when visiting Bloomington recently. Found this little place with the cutest little asian couple serving us. They were so nice and sweet. We came in during a weekday lunch and it wasn't too busy. We didn't have to wait at all. Food was served quickly and bill paid quickly. I didn't enjoy what I ordered (chicken bibimbop), because it was too dry. But my friends food was delicious (lunch special). I was glad to see that we also got all the sides during the lunch menu too. read more

Truly wonderful. Have been here twice. The lunch special is a wonderful deal, Monday-Friday. There is a language barrier at times but the staff will get you what you need once you're through the doors. The inside looks like a traditional Korean restaurant. Really enjoyed it the first couple of times but have noticed that the portions have diminished quite a bit recently. Also the quality of certain dishes, such as the Japchae was pretty bad. What a find! Very tasty Korean food - it was made with love and tasted like homemade. Not greasy. Just the right amount of spices. Every item we tried was fantastic. The beef was tender and very tasty. The pork Tangsuyuk was SO amazing. The pork smelled as good as it tasted and the sweet/sour sauce was delicious. I left the restaurant a Yelp message asking questions about a possible order. The person who responded was very kind. I wasn't able to wait so I ended up ordering from another restaurant that was able to take care of the issue I had where I wasn't going to pick up an order in time and didn't have to go with K-Bap. It's a bit of a bummer my original choice was able to take care of my order because I really wanted to try this place. I have it bookmarked in my 'Yummie Places" bookmarks so I can be sure to visit when I'm back in Indiana again. Many times the beef is too sweet and the flavor is overpowering. Got all meat no fatty pieces. I didn't leave a trace. The place gets packed and busy, both dining in and takeout orders! This restaurant just opened up 5 days ago, the owner of this restaurant use to be the original owner of Korean restaurant on 4th st according to the waiter. Food was delicious and side were great although I came in during closing hours so they didn't have all the side dishes for me. They made up for that with a free soda and I think rice although that could have come with my dish for all I know. I ordered the glass noodles which is the best I've had in btown. Service was great and ambiance I can't say because I came in close to closing hours so maybe they turned off the Music. Overall I had a great time. Don't know why it's called k-bop when they put Korean kitchen on their building though. read more

The food was good. We got seated right away. We ordered spicy rice cake for appetizer. Which also had fish cake in it. That was delicious. We got the combo that came with mackerel and soft tofu soup. The mackerel was good and the soup was a bit to Smokey tasting in my opinion. Also for the potato pork neck stew. That was my favorite. It was very tasty. I also ordered the kalbi as well. Although I ordered it extra well done it did not come out that way. The flavor was good. I wish I could have nuked it in the microwave for 2 more minutes then it would have be perfect! This is the most legit Korean restaurant in town. It's like a little neighborhood joint in Seoul, where you'd go for lunch a few days a week. The kimchi jigae is my favorite. Pairs really well with the kalbi. The banchan is simple but fresh. I also recommend the kimbap for a quick cheap (and tasty) lunch. The owner is really nice, too. read more
