One of those places that's only highly-rated because it's close. I got myself an order of Mongolian beef, which had been marked spicy. Not only was it bland, it was sweeter than some desserts I've had. Then I found a lump of un-dissolved sugar in the sauce, and realized I'd gotten a *less sweet* version. Strip mall parking, no issue. Entrance and dining area appears cluttered with a few family (owners) tables. Food... fair. Not a rave, but not a total disregard either. Went with a few egg rolls (very small, but crunchy and fresh), Four Seasons which was a combo of seafood, beef, chicken, pork and vegetables. This was nice. Scallops and shrimp were big and prepared well. House special fried rice, what a disappointment. Micro sized pork bits and vegetables. Lacked flavor. Overall.... the visit was OK. At the time of this review 99 restaurant was the highest rating (or at least most recommended by yelps algorithm) restaurant in Bedford. Figured I should check it out. They get a small point for speaking Chinese (pretty sure) in the kitchen. Service was quick. I had my food in under 5 minutes. I ordered the pork Lo mein combo. The egg roll was crispy on the outside and fairly juicy but almost bordering on mushy. It's an absolutely passable egg roll. The Lo mein was piping hot. Everything you expect from Lo mein is here. Savory msg goodness with tasty noodles. The noodles were a bit soft for me. I found the fried rice a bit disappointing. It was just a bit dry for me. Important note: one of the employees kids was sitting in the lobby playing on an iPad. This, to me, is always a good sign. It shows it's owned by working class people. Plus 1 star. Overall this is solid strip mall Chinese food. As soon as I saw I was heading to a strip mall I could see in my head exactly what it looked like. But the food is very good with friendly service. I would come again if I found I had time in Bedford. read more

99 restaurant is my favorite restaurant in Bedford! I love the food, and I love the owners very much. They have a great variety of Chinese dishes, and they also have Thai food on the menu. I confess that I have never tried the Thai food, actually, because I have so many favorite Chinese dishes. I once lived in mainland China for a year, and the owners good-naturedly accommodate my special requests with no problems. Every dish I have ever tried at 99 is quite delectable, but my favorite dish is Triple Delight, which consists of chicken, shrimp, beef, and vegetables, in a delicious brown sauce. I also love their Hot & Sour soup, and their Crab Rangoon. I highly recommend 99 for lunch or dinner; you can call in your order for pick-up, or order online. I prefer to sit down in the restaurant myself, and settle in for a great meal. read more

I ordered Sweet andSour Chicken. I tried to get it with side of vegetables but they couldn't figure it out. The chicken was terrible as In pressed chicken. If I had wanted chicken nuggets I would have went to McDonalds. The fried rice was not edible either. As in a day old at least. Only thing worth eating was the crab Rangoon which was pretty good. Before covid 99 restaurant was top shelf asian food in bedford. During covid they erected a plexiglass wall to still be open for take out. Went in the other night for take out and the whole lobby stunk so so bad. Trash in the corners and just unkept. The chicken fried rice and lo main was on point as usual. But the sheshuian chicken was just off. By the next morning it was very clear that I can food poisoning. With the other aisan buffet opening back up I probably WONT be returning to 99. read more

Best Asian food in Bedford by far. They are very quick even when they are busy and their food is always some of the best in town in general!

If your in the area stop. The food is outstanding, and I work in restaurants. High quality all the way and the flavors were incredible. Drove 1.5 to eat at this location. Not the biggest place, but it's spotless inside. A warm greeting from the staff and they make sure your 100 percent satisfied and check on you often. If you like soups try the hot and sour or the wonton, flavors for the most distinctive palette. Generous portions and you will not leave hungry. I really was impressed with the details that went into the food. We will be back soon read more

We are from near Chicago and we have a great variety of Asian food of all ilks. We were passing through and asked the manager at the hotel for a recommendation and we are so grateful she suggested 99! Wonderful, fresh, piping hot, and very light! We had shrimp egg foo young that was the lightness and tastiest I think we have ever had! We also had General Tso chicken, not overly spicy, but just enough. We are traveling so we didn't want to over order, but we still had enough to take back to hotel and put in fridge and take home for dinner! Nice job, 99!! read more
