I came through the drive thru and got 2 meals with fries, Just like everyone else i went and grabbed a fry while driving to my destination. After arriving i got my food out and saw there was a huge mosquito bug literally pressed onto a couple of my fries. I mean i can see the legs head and fuzzy body with the proboscis. A big one at that. I feel sick to my stomach and obviously don't trust that the rest of the food hasn't been touched. I called to see if i could possibly get a refund because i don't really want to get more food from somewhere that already served me mosquito french fries. I spoke to the manager and told them the situation. The manager did not offer to remake my food and told me a refund was not possible and he could send me a couple coupons to my address. I told him i felt this was inadequate and i have worked in multiple different food establishments and this has never been the way something was handled. the manager then said he discussed with the higher up manager and they said it would only be possible to refund the two fries because the rest of the food was up to par. How can you possibly tell me the same food in the same bag with the bug hasn't been contaminated. In this economy i feel as these people are literally playing with people's money and time. I spent 32.04$ for 2 meals that i can't even eat it let alone enjoy the meal. I ALREADY ATE A FRY WITHOUT KNOWING THERE WAS A WHOLE MOSQUITO IN NY FRIES. I am so disappointed and irritated by the service provided from this restaurant and really want my full refund. read more

Really nice service from every person we met. This visit was to meet friends and sit and visit, and no one rushed us in the slightest. The food was solidly good and the room was kept clean by the constantly patrolling employees. I was visiting a friend on a cold, post-snowstorm day, and we decided we wanted ice cream, but from somewhere with a parking lot since I didn't feel like a second round of hunting for a street spot (did that once earlier in the day for brunch) with all the ice still around. This turned out to be lovely. Culver's has a big parking lot, and we both like their custard. I had a scoop of the flavor of the day which was a berry lemon cake swirl and it was excellent. The lemon custard had a berry swirl and chunks of pound cake. It was fresh and delicious. Service was super-friendly, and even though we were just getting custard, they still brought our order to the table and offered cups for water. The eating area was really clean even though they likely had just finished the lunch rush. The restaurant is bright and sunny which was perfect on a cold day. I definitely need to keep this place in mind if I want to grab a cone on my way out of town. read more

I just went through the drive through to pick up some lunch for myself and the kid. When I got home and dug in, I had two thoughts. Boy, this is terrific, and boy, do I feel dumb for sitting in a McDonalds drive through for 20 minutes only to get cold food last week. I couldn't believe how fast I got through! They had the primary order lane open for people paying with cash or card, plus a guy stationed to take orders in a separate lane if you were paying with a card. The regular drive through was so fast I just hopped over there to place my order. The burgers were awesome, and there were plenty of napkins! Culver's fries are pretty good, but my line is if I don't have to dunk them in ketchup, they're superior. These are dunkers. A group from work wanted to go for lunch on a Wednesday and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. A few months in they've done a great job keeping the restaurant clean and the overall decor ties really well into the community as well as the owner's IU basketball ties. I was most impressed by how hands on the owner was as I saw him do every single role yesterday from working the register, delivering food, clearing tables, and assisting with the drive thru. I believe the speaks volumes to the culture of the place. I ordered the blue cheese and chicken salad which was surprisingly good and a side of the limited edition sweet potato fries which were warm and crispy. My first trip to the "new" Bloomington Culver's and I was pretty impressed. Service from the folks at the order counter was great. Had fast and friendly service from the young woman who took our order. It was lunchtime and Culver's was hopping. Our order took a bit of time to get to our table. The person who brought it out had walked past us twice. Again, the place was packed, and the staff was very busy. The food was tasty. Definitely up to the Culver's standard. It's fast food, but it's decent quality. I had the chicken sandwich and my partner had the fish sandwich. Both were nice and hot and the fries were hot and delicious too. I will note that the salt shakers are horrible, the salt pours out way too fast, so be aware if you want to salt your food. We ordered a couple of Concretes to go on our way out. It was interesting to stand up front waiting for them and observing what was happening in the kitchen and behind the counter. You can see that they are still ironing out some rough spots in their service. It was good to see that the people who work there were helping each other out and working together. All in all, I think they need a bit more time to get their service in tune with their food at this Culver's location. The staff is friendly, the food is good, just take some patience with you when you go. read more

I've only been here once but it was a really good experience! I had the mushroom and Swiss butter burger with fries and coleslaw. I wasn't really sure what to expect because I knew what they're really known for are their cheese curds and custard, and I didn't order these items. I was impressed though, the coleslaw was fresh, the burger was good (kinda greasy though) and the fries were amazing! Some of the best fast food fries I've tried for sure. Service was also very fast and I was pleased with that. Definitely need to come back to try their more well-known items and their chicken. read more

My wife and I visited here May 15. No crowd was on hand at 11:30. Parking was ample and spots were available for curbside service if that's your thing. It was nice to sit and get my own drink. I'd forgotten how that actually felt. Our order was taken very quickly. The staff was very kind and courteous. Service was very prompt. Restaurant was clean well kept. It was nice to see all the employees with clean appearances, well groomed, and in uniform. The staff all wore masks and all staff members wore rubber gloves as well. You can tell on entering the restaurant that sanitation and protecting people from the Covid virus is one of their top priorities. When our food arrived you can see the steam rolling off of the burgers because they were right off of the grill. They were hot! The fries and onion reads ordered as a side were very hot as well. The food was very very good. On a sidenote, it was nice to see the owner of the Of the business cleaning the floor in the lobby area. Once that was completed the owner stepped outside with the mop and bucket and mop down the patio area to ensure that it was clean. He also was watering the plants. It's something that you don't see at a typical restaurant. The owner operator of the business actually in the trenches doing work with the employees. He too was fashioned in the same manner that all the employees were. The owners name is IU basketball legend, one of the all-time leading score is at IU John Laskowski. If you go to Culver's on third Street and you see the big Mac big tall man named John asking for a picture that would be the owner John Laskowski. Superb service meets fresh ingredients. But the burger still left something to be desired. Definitely NOT on the same tier as Shake Shack or In & Out. More like a glorified Wendy's.
