I would rate zero if I could. Terrible customer service, they will leave items off your order and then be very difficult in rectifying the issue. They will not offer refunds or take any accountability for their mistakes, actually they will refuse to do that. It's about a 50 /50 chance your food will be fresh. It's either good tasting or inedible, there is no in between. The lobby smells like something died and it is very unclean. We will not be returning to the Bloomington Indiana rallys at any point after today. They straight ignored my husband when he was requesting to speak to someone in charge, acting like he wasn't there (though he was being overly polite, which I wouldn't have been at that point). Dear Yelphouse. I swear I thought this would never happen to me. I've been to Rally's a few times, or even more than a few. We only have one location and it's near downtown, so it's a rare treat for me when I'm in the area. It's an easy call! That Arby's is meh, and the only other place nearby is Wendy's. Every meal I've gotten has been great! Their chicken isn't anything to write home about, but it's not bad. Getting my bacon on with their Baconzilla has been heavenly. Then there's today. I don't know what happened. The lady at the window was very chipper. They actually filled the fries! (Take a hint, Wendy's and McDonald's!) But they failed in a crucial area. That Baconzilla? Sad. Oh, what a sad excuse for a bacon burger. Two bites in I knew something was wrong. I had a feeling up front when I opened it and didn't see bacon sticking out. I confirmed it when I bit in and tasted..... sauce? Ketchup, cheese, and mayo were in plentiful supply but the bacon looked like they were about to run out and tried to ration it. The staff is great they went above and beyond to ensure I had a good visit , the food is great and they have many different options if you don't like burgers you can get chicken wings etc . The costume service also very exceptional. Despite the day being busy , the service was quick and and seamless . I didn't have to wait long for my order and it was served hot and fresh . I haven't been to a Rally's drive through in over twenty years since I lived in Cleveland Ohio. The restaurant is exactly as I remember it. The drive through on both sides was efficient and friendly. The staff donned their masks. The chicken sandwich was delicious and the fries we split were different and great. Social distancing is encouraged as you eat in your car in the area designated for eating. The umbrellas and picnic tables are there but it was way too hot to eat outside. read more

A Regrettable Night at Rally's It was a late-night run to Rally's, one of the few establishments open past midnight in the Covid-19 era. At this hour, customers are craving a greasy relief to their empty stomachs. Something cheap, quick and filling. However, the cliche "nothing good happens after midnight" can summarize the entire experience. A little past 12am, Rally's drive through was bustling with orders and so was the out-door dining! The homeless monopolized all tables nearby the entrance. While their presence was a nuisance, they at least kept a distance. I was hoping for an easy in-and-out, especially since my order consisted of only two basic cheeseburgers. But when I approached the counter ready to order, my presence went unnoticed. As the only one in the building, it took an unfortunate three minutes to establish eye-contact with the cashier. Following the delay, I encountered an additional struggle in my talks with the cashier. After repeating my order loudly and clearly multiple times, the cashier finally understood my words. He then incoherently babbled something back in which I did not understand. I even contemplated trust in him using my card as a payment method. Who knows if any delirious employee would consider jotting down my information, but that was just paranoia to admit. At last I obtained the burgers and walked back to my residence. Recall that Rally's nightly customers pursue a filling and tasty meal. On a good note, Rally's, at the very least, delivered on that promise. Above all, the process was a headache. Fast food chains are purposed to deliver food quickly and efficiently. It is understandable that a staff may devote more attention to a busy drive-through rather than a single dine-in customer, however for the cashier to even avoid eye contact was irritating. The food was decent, but certainly not worth sacrificing your time and safety to ultimately deal with a disordered slow staff. read more

Being new to Bloomington, my husband and I had never heard of Rally's before. I saw that their fries were "famous" and they served 5 different flavors of wings, so I was curious to try the place. We walked in on a Friday evening and the drive thru was busy as usual. We ordered several items and waited like 20 minutes for our food and they gave us a small fries to make up for the long wait. Then we went to the outside eating area since there's no eating space inside the building. From best to worst: Strawberry Milkshake - It wasn't as cold as I'd like it to be and it melted quickly in the hot weather, but at least it actually tasted like strawberry ice cream and it wasn't too sweet. Medium Buffalo Wings - I like that the wings were large and cooked just right. The sauce, however, was overwhelmingly sodiumy, but this tends to happen with buffalo sauce. Next time I'll try the garlic parmesan wings. Bacon & Cheddar Fries - You should only order this when you have a sodium deficiency. Seriously. The fries were already salty, but when you add the bacon and the cheddar, you'll have the urge to drink a whole gallon of water afterward to dilute the sodium. Rallyburger with Cheese - It was only the slightest bit better than McDonald's burgers T_T. In other words, it was mediocre. They have actually been quite good for the most part, which is why I did not want to lowball them as far as a review. The last couple of nights though, have been subpar. Tonight, I arrived at 3:40 p.m., which is 20 minutes before close. I understand that people are rushing to get home, so a little bit of error makes sense. In this case though, it seemed rather excessive. I waited until 3:55 for my food, and the fries were soggy, limp, as if they had been sitting around all day. The sandwich was also quite cold. I often ask for fresh dropped fries, for this very reason, and are my last visit I did exactly that but the fries were also limp and soggy. At times, I feel as if they deliberately ignore the customers request, and deliver products that are not to the standard that has brought me back to Rally's many a time. virgin experience. had watched undercover boss and checkers was one of the firms.. i like undercover boss, and after my friend told me it's his favorite fast food, it was time to check it out. urgh.. dingy little shack. i was waiting outside while my boyfriend placed his order and no less than 2 people asked me for money for a burger.. not a good atmosphere. i had the rally burger, and to second a previous poster, dont bother asking for a special order.. i asked for no tomatoes.. of course it had tomatoes. in all we had the rally burger, loaded fries, and spicy chicken sandwich meal. the chicken sandwich was better than mac d's, the rally burger a dry, ugly disappointment.. fries saved it for us.. the only fries that can top them are the curly fries at a&w. but the loaded-ness killed the crunchy, crispy texture and turned it into a super salty, gunky mess.. what a pity. good thing we had coupons, i wouldn't pay full price for them-- portion size is tiny! and i am a girl! i'll only be back for the fries next time i have a craving. read more

I used to go to this fast food restaurant frequently...unfortunately they can never take your order correctly...if I say I want no onions I get onions,,,if I say I want lettuce, pickle, tomato, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise... I only get mayo and mustard because apparently all the people who work here care about is the last two things you said. The walk up is in the front of the building, it's a tiny lobby that can fit about 4 people at a time wihtout touching each other. Before the place burnt down I would have given it maybe 1 star but after they rebuilt and rehired, it's not too bad as of 7 months ago. read more
