Googoo's is a 25 minute drive for me to get to and it's totally worth it! Firstly the ambiance and vibe is really chill so a great casual place to eat. Second, the service was great! Shoutout to the wonderful owners for a great experience and talking to them was a joy. But most importantly- the food! It was great! We shared our orders so that we could taste them and everything was too good. The only thing I took home was rice because I ate everything at the dinner. Also, the iced coffee? Great energizer. It's been awhile since I have been to googoos table to dining in. Food is still very good I ordered the Mongolian beef is what I like here although it's a bit pricey but delicious and authentic despite the owner being Cambodian. I also ordered the fried tofu since I haven't had tofu for a while it was also delicious we have to pour this soy sauce that had a distinct taste that was giving it flavor which was good. They're wonton soup was very interesting it was delicious in a different way they added extra vegetables like Chinese cabbage or bok choy. I guess to make it more healthy. In traditional Chinese wonton they don't do that. It was a bit piping hot but good. Their ice cream tea that I had for a beverage was also delicious with the boba oor tapioca. I usually would go elsewhere because of the prices to me it's a bit overpriced eating here but it is good but this and another Chinese restaurant that I would come every now and then. Thus the four stars ambience is pretty casual but I'm just surprised how good the quality of food is but it's a bit pricey now. We ordered 3 large orders of shrimp fried rice, one with pork in it, yuk! The pork looked like those long cockroaches, gray color, and the rice again, was old, not fresh. The last few times i have tried eating here my food was not good. I always order veg or chicken fried rice. Today i ordered veg fried rice. Rice was watery food tasted bland. The vegetables especially the peas were not cooked thoroughly. They had almost a crunchy taste. Horrible probably my last time eating there. Today we order delivery, as we do almost weekly and realize that we are missing half of our order. Of course we figure this might be in error so we called to ask if they had maybe missed a bag. We spoke with TWO individuals who screamed at us multiple times and told us that we were lying. The first sign to leave should've been the complete emptiness on a Saturday night. However, j just figured this was a more take out place rather than sit down. The menu was nothing special, pretty standard Asian dishes (Ex. Sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, pad Thai). My boyfriend ordered the chicken pad Thai, I ordered the BBQ pork fried rice, and a 6 price crab Rangoon to share. On the menu, there was a choice between 4 and 8 piece, but then the cashier told us they only had a 6 piece option. On the menu, the 4 piece was $4.95 and the 8 piece was $8.95. My fried rice indicated $8.95 for the medium portion then the pad Thai should've been $12.95. In total, it should've been around $29/$30 including tax. However, the total came out as around $34. I thought I just added wrong and so we paid. However, after our friend ordered he informed us that the menu prices we looked at were wrong and that the items were actually more expensive. He said that he inquired about his total when his meal came out to be $18 (which was way more than the menu indicated). The cashier apparently told him that we were looking at the old menu and the new menu had updated more expensive prices (SO SKETCHY). When our food finally came, everything was so bland and below average. Pad Thai was tasteless (had to drench in sweet and sour sauce and siracha), my fried rice was not seasoned and the pork was extremely dry (like it had been recooked), plus it didn't have a hint of bbq flavor, then our friends sesame chicken was soggy. Overall, disappointing experience. Usually in my experience, a hole in the wall type of place has awesome food. This is a definite pass for me. read more

I LOVED Googoo's Table! I had to wait for a window repair at Aaron's Auto Glass and there is not much around. So instead of waiting in their dreary waiting room, I walked to the corner for lunch. It was sunny outside so I couldn't really see inside. I was feeling like I hope it's not dirty or I hope it's not creepy inside. Well, let me tell you it is modern, bright, clean and cheerful. It is a corner storefront with windows all around and tons of seating. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. The ladies are soooo sweet and friendly. I felt like I was welcomed into their home. She checked on me three times during my lunch, brought me ice water without it being requested and told me to sit and relax and stay as long as I liked. I ordered stir fried veggies and an egg rolls. Everything was piping hot and so tasty! The rice was fluffy and mixed perfectly with my veggies. My food was served on real plates and I was given metal cutlery - much better than plastic! I left feeling nice and full and well cared for. The orange chicken was delicious crispy the sauce was amazing, the rice was not swimming in grease like most places, the fried rice was fresh, the crab Rangoon was creamy and crispy. My friend can't eat gluten so no soy sauce, and they called a couple times because a couple items we ordered had soy sauce they were really kind and friendly and made sure we knew what we were getting. In my on-going quest to find the best Chinese food in Logan Square I came across GooGoo's table. A bit spiffier looking than most Chinese joints, but they don't market themselves as "gourmet" like some of the restaurants around here. I ordered the fish ball noodle soup, orange chicken, combo fried rice, 2 egg rolls, and two smoothies (durian and lychee). Delivery showed up 10 minutes earlier than expected, the restaurant also called me a few minutes after I placed the order to let me know they didn't have enough Durian to make a smoothie so instead I chose Jackfruit. Portions are good for the price. The egg rolls are handmade which is definitely a plus! They look like spring rolls and are delicious!!! The orange chicken barely had any sauce on it and the sauce didn't have that hint of orange we all know and love, but they were alright. My only gripe is the "fish" noodle soup. Looks like scallops and you have to assemble the soup yourself. The broth and fish balls are in a container, onions, bean sprouts, green pepper and lime are in plastic bag while the noodles are in another container too. Once assembled it was still pretty meh. The fried rice is hands down the best in the area. Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars. Definitely looking forward to trying out again. read more

So for those that are new to the area or this place. This used to be the old Kim Long restaurant that had been here for so many years under the cover of funky styling. Now after the new build and the rebranding the food still continues to he top notch. I mean the food has such a great homemade flavor that you would think your sitting in their home. True earthy flavors like ginger and tamarind are just some of the items that will pull you into the Cambodian culture that they proudly represent. Just quick snapshot of what's on the menu that I enjoyed. The egg rolls are hand made, I'll say it again.. hand made. That right there makes a difference for me. We ordered the typical orange chicken that was actually a bit more than expected, but not like your typical Chinese spot that gives you too much. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. The orange chicken was a huge surprise, it was in a light orange sauce and the chicken was coated just enough to hold onto the sauce while keeping a crunch. The shrimp noodle soup that I had was possibly the best soup I've had at a restaurant. It was light, but had so much flavor, and don't think it was a cup of noodles. It was a healthy portion of shrimp with delicate rice noodles that was served with a slice of lime and some jalapeño for heat. It was a happy moment for me.
