I went there for wheel alignment for my vehicle, Model Y Tesla. The worker broke my driver's side door handle. I told him, "If you don't know how to open the door then why didn't you call me, why did you break the handle?" He then told me, "This is a fake handle." He's lying, saying that he didn't do anything. The store manager raises his voice, gets physical, gives attitude, and he didn't do the services I asked for. I waited 2 and a half hours, I have all the proof, and I called the police, the police said I should take this case to the court. Beware!!! Dishonest Pricing and Zero Customer Service! This place is a total scam. The store manager has no customer service skills and blatantly misled us on pricing. When we first asked for a price, we were told $635, but when it was time to pay, they made us wait until the tire change was done and suddenly increased the price to $700. When we questioned it, he even threatened to keep the car if we didn't pay! To make matters worse, the manager said he would remove the "Buy 3, Get 1 Free" promotion (which he claimed his boss or someone above him said was for all cars) and charge us over $800 instead. When I asked about their online price-match guarantee, he started screaming his throat out, saying he didn't have to do it but was doing me a "favor" even though his company clearly promises price matching! Arrived at 11:30 for a 12:00 appointment. They told us it'll be an hour. Long story short, it's now 5:34 just to rotate 2 tires and replace the front 2 with new ones. When they lowered the car and drove it out the garage, they noticed the wheel nuts were not tightened and had to bring their tools outside the garage to correct their mistake. This place is in a good location because it seems people from so many neighborhoods come here to get their car serviced. Its a convenient place b4 the costco warehouse place and far rock. They have plenty of parking. The showroom is quite large, and the front desk is large as well. Marty is usually the one lioking up customers in the system or adding them. He has been around there for quite some time. Yes, i only go here to service my car because it is reputable and they do great work. If you do not have an advanced appointment, expect a decent length in wait time. It is worth the wait because of the way they approach. They try not to reject customers, but give them a chance to get their vehicle repaired. Marty is very professional at his job, and he does not jeopardize customer expectations. He bnb even shows customers how to get deals, and i believe this brings loyalty to this place. There are many repeat customers because of Marty. Inside the garage, Harry is directing how and when things get done. He has a very positive, get it done attitude. Its not easy managing a place like this with the volume they see. Making the appointment online was easy enough but of course the service you receive when you arrive can vary. I arrived about 20 minutes before my appointment time and only 2 spots are available for parking which are both narrow because of someone's poor parking skills. As I am attempting to park in one of my he spots a guy dressed in a Goodyear jumper comes out and starts pointing as if he is directing a plane down the runway. So I roll down my window to speak to him. I ask him how long the wait will be and he rolls his eyes up to the sky as if to say my question was annoying him while he kept a smile on his face. He never answers but he keeps motioning his hands. He was annoying and not helpful at all so I drove away and got my oil change service somewhere else. Had to purchase new tires for my car in April in one town and in July I was visiting another town and I had a low air alert in my car.. I went to this location by using Yelp and the service I received was outstanding .... Not because the service was free but because they were courteous and informative and they called me when it was fixed.... ( And it was free) lol... I went here on January 14, 2022 @ approximately 10 am. I took my ML 350 Mercedes To get an oil change, my front head lamps changed, and both my market lights changed. They informed me had to make an appt. They gave me an appt for the following day Jan 15, 2022 at 12pm. Went there a little earlier and told them everything I needed done. It took them along time to get to me. Then they didn't finish the work. I was told that it would take to long to change my marker lights and I had to bring it back another day because they were closing. This was very unprofessional. They should of completed the job they were given even if meant staying a later. They gave me a 2 page list of things I needed to get done to the sum of $1,800. I will never go back to the them nor would I recommend them to anyone. I went in today and the service advisor was rude, unprofessional, and verbally abusive towards at least six customers. It took two and a half hours to plug a small leak in my tire. The man repeatedly yelled at customers and told them that he was busy. He told at least three people that hey had to leave because they were just too busy. He even called the police on one of the customers after repeatedly belittling him. I was thoroughly disgusted with the service I received at the location. I will definitely not be coming back. I went here because of the reputation that Goodyear has for quality but left wishing that I had given any other shop my business. I was looking for a place to patch and not plug the tire in my 2014 Honda and found Goodyear. The service manager, Mitch, helped me right away. He was very pleasant and professional and answered all of my questions. My mechanic, Carl, was also very professional and showed me how the patch/plug was done in my tire to assure me that I got the best possible fix for my tire. With the change in seasons upon us, my cars' Tire Pressure Monitoring systems always get cranky due to the colder temperatures. Rather than hassle with testing each tire myself and then fighting a coin-operated gas station air pump, I prefer bringing my cars here to have a pro test and top-up my rides. Loren has been my tech the last few visits, and he's been a consummate professional. Good eye, very thorough, and quite a funny guy to shoot the breeze with for a few minutes while he's doing the work. My husband took our vehicle to GoodYear Tires located at 101 Rockaway Turnpike, Lawrence NY 11559 on 8/14/19. Our car was overheating and we needed our vehicle for the weekend to attend an event. We brought our vehicle here a 2nd time because it was convenient, simply 10 min away from my husbands job, and early enough to get a diagnosis of the problem fixed so we could be set to leave for the weekend. My husband received a call from Harry (the mechanic) that same day, Harry said he figured out the problem and that our radiator fan needed to be replaced for $531. My husband gave him the go ahead to fix the problem since he is the expert and the fact that we wouldn't have to worry about any more maintenance for awhile. So hours later my husband received a call from David (the manager) stating "the fan has been replaced but unfortunately they came across another problem", what?! (Our thoughts exactly) says his mechanic Harry caught it, the water pump is leaking. Tell us how? Why? What could possibly be the cause of this? As I explained to and pleaded with David via phone to look at things from our point of view, because the 1st impression wasn't the best (they were already refunding us back $60 because of a mistake on their end prior) and now not only do we need to pay $531 but now David said that Harry found another problem that'll cost us $700 on top. This doesn't add up. I explained to David we our missing a 3rd link in this conversation and that is Harry (the mechanic), This seems to me the oldest trick in a scamming auto repair shops book (because I've worked alongside of bodyshops in the past and am aware of underhanded things they do to new and vulnerable customers) and that's fixing a non existent problem only to bring up the real problem at the end to get paid double. Which is unfortunate, assuming they've tried this technique with other people who fell victim. David informed me he had no clue of the conversation between my husband and Harry regarding the fan (which was suppose to be the initial problem in the 1st place). David went and checked the fan himself, got back on the phone with me while my husband was at the establishment, and said "he checked it himself and that the problem was never the fan, in fact, our fan was in good condition, looks like the problem was always the water pump". After that, red flags went up. I got back on the phone with David, I said I told you that we were being scammed, and not that it's your fault but you need to evaluate the people you are hiring, they are the face of this business. That is when David verbally said to both my husband and I that he will put the original fan back because it was never the problem and that he would fix the water pump with no charge as a customer service courtesy, however, he'd have to keep it overnight. At that point, although it was a big inconvenience, we were appreciative that he acknowledged the problem. My husband received a call Saturday 8/17/19 from David who informed him that the car was ready. Today, Sunday 8/18/19, both my husband and I went to pick up the car. David nor Harry were present. Neal, who was supposedly aware of the situation was present. Unfortunately, Neal was not fully aware of the situation because we were presented with the original $531 bill although after all that was said and agreed upon, David needed to be called. After reinerating our conversation from a couple of days ago, he then said "we ended up not putting back your old fan to avoid any other problems so that's why you have to pay $531". I asked why wasn't my husband and I informed of this? Maybe that would have avoided this problem but we were under the impression that we would be charged absolutely nothing because of the misdiagnosis by Harry and David knew that. David then realized this was in fact his idea to replace the new fan with our old fan and waive the water pump work so he told Neal to give us our keys and go on our way. They would not give my husband the paperwork with the work that was done, after all the frustration we simply left with our car. Although we were not asked to pay for any of the labor, this whole situation has not only inconvenienced us but has also stressed us out. Going back and forth stating our case, I felt like we were in a court room. Mechanics are suppose to be trustworthy and honest, we are trusting these people with our livelihood (yes, a car is a necessity given circumstance) we absolutely need our car, and to be taken advantage of not once but twice is tragic because I can just imagine how many fall victim to this at that shop. While sitting in the waiting room, I over heard the manager, I think his name was Mitch, seemed to be belittle some of his staff. After about a half hour I got up to go for a walk. I noticed the workers taking cars right in the service area while mine sat outside. I questioned the manager and he just looked at me and said we're busy, it's gonna be while in a rude tone. The place has been renovated recently which is good, bathroom was filthy though and was here for 4 hours and 30 mins getting oil change and 4 tires. The big negative though is Mitch trying to slip in the tire insurance for $109 so BEWARE of that nonsense. Had major work done to ensure a safe and comfortable ride. Had struts and shocks replaced, wheel alighment, and exhaust checked. Due to the amount of work, I had to wait, but the staff and service manager at the location made me very comfortable. The attention to detail and recommendations for what is required to ensure a safe ride is appreciated. I didn't mind the wait because the end result was a smooth driving, quieter vehicle. Well, things haven't changed much since the previous post in 2011. Inefficient, rude, slow. I signed up online for a $19.95 oil change. They claimed my car would only take 5-20W and that would cost $5 extra. That was a lie. Later I found out the car could take 5-20 or 10-30W. They also told me that the extra $5 charge was in the small print on their internet offer (another lie). And they charged my a $2.50 disposal fee that is against the law in NY.
