One of the few places with Road Force Balancing available, I was pleasantly surprised to see such a well reviewed shop right next door to the place that was already PPF and ceramic coating my car. You could of already had me with the supermodel behind the counter, but they had to top it of with being : 1) Knowledgeable 2) They followed my OCD instructions. 3) They reassured my paranoia by writing notes to the mechanics on the wheels themselves. 4) They arranged with TintMax next door to pick up the wheels and load them in my truck without me being there. I was 80% sure that most technicians would install at least one wheel on a staggered setup to rotation backwards. But they installed them perfectly. No scuffs or scrapes to the wheel after install. It's easy to believe how they earned every good review. read more

Pace Tire Pros - Flawless mound and balance. No scuffs or adhesives to clean off the tire like I had with other tire places. - Tires Near Me - Middle Village, New York

Avoid this place at all costs!! I went for a routine oil change and tire rotation and was told it would take 11/2 hours fine ok. Got back car was not ready so they said to leave it over night ugh!' I did know of a steering arm problem from my last inspection which I was willing to address! Well a call at 430 to pick up my car the next day no prior call before hand to come to a WHOOPING over 3k charge!! They put in a new battery. 2 new tires almost 200 to clean my fuel injection!! I NEVER APPROVED ANYTHING!! SCAMMED NEVER AGAIN!! plus they lie to your face! AVOID read more

Recently brought in my 03 Tahoe for a constant oil leak in the engine bay. Apparently it was a rear main seal, I have had the car for 2 weeks now and still dry. Lawrence was the person who took care of me and apparently he is the owner and was a pleasure to deal with. Will deff recommend to anyone in the area needing work read more

Took a long time but they did a great job at providing and replacing all my tires. They were helpful and friendly. Good place in the neighborhood read more

PACE TIRES is the most ACCOMMODATING and HONEST. I read someone here complaining about her wait but if there is a wait it is because they are AMAZING and get many customers. It is best to call first and see how long the wait might be But I would never go anywhere else to have my mechanical work done. read more

Took my car here for an oil change. While I was waiting, the shop called me and let me know I was due for an inspection and asked if I wanted to take care of that too. I had totally forgotten so I really appreciated it. Price was fair and I was able to pick my car up in about 2-3 hours. My car was taken care of and is running smoothly! read more

Avoid this place at all costs. They failed my cars inspection for some bs $1200 part, thinking I would pay. Took my car across the street to the gas station and passed. Always get a second opinion folks. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any business. I did nothing but pay and pay money while they failed to fix the issue. It took them a long time to finally identify the problem, and even then, they never credited me for the money I had already paid due to their own mistake. I truly don't understand how this place has so many positive reviews. I came here because of them, and it was a huge mistake. I strongly warn others to be extremely careful with this place. Don't be fooled by the review read more

Found my tire punctured and brought it to Pace near closing time. They still made time for me and repaired the flat quickly. I get my tires checked by Pace a few times a year . Friendly, fast service and fair prices ! read more

My mothers car got a screw in the tire and asked me to find her a place. She said the staff was very pleasant, courteous, and professional. She had a good experience all around so when her car needed emissions testing, she went back. Once again, she was very pleased. She said they fix cars too so next time she needs service she's going back. read more

Been taking my car here for years now for inspections and the occasional routine service. Never have they tried to sell me any additional service that I didn't require. Their staff is very friendly, professional, and respectful. I highly recommend them for your routine automotive needs! read more

I have had them do far more than Tire repairs and installations. Radiator, A/C, power steering, alternator, alignment, suspension including front and rear struts I have found them to be helpful, honest and reliable with certified mechanics and quality replacement parts. They do accept walk-ins but I prefer to telephone first. Honest, skilled repair shops are hard to find. They have kept my 1998 Toyota Camry running and I am now over 151, 000 miles. I believe that their prices are competitive and fair. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed in the quality of the work and services that they render. I would give them five stars. read more

I gave a half star just because I walked in the door. Now, I received two different estimates on two different days for the same articles: tires and wheel alignment. The difference was $175 dollars. yes, this includes the discount for a wheel alignment. Now comes the interesting part. The first estimate also included the replacement of all 4 of the wheel TPMS sensers that I purchased through the internet and would be installed and calibrated not a problem. The second estimate (DIFFERENT PERSON) not only was there a price difference, but he said, " we can't install these TPMS sensors because the device to calibrate the sensors can't do that brand of TPMS sensors" . Now if you buy the TPMS sensors from us we will guarantee them. OK, how much are they I asked, he said $100 per wheel. So, I then asked, "How's about a discount on them because you are charging me a little over a $1,100 for the tires with the alignment, plus tax (figure over $1,500) Sorry no can do, was the reply. I said go bye, and you just lost a sale. Well, it turns out, this unit that PACE uses can do any make of TPMS sensors, yes preferably their brand, but any other brand just the same. Thanks to A1 auto for the info, found on the internet. Pace claims they work with their customers, OK. Now I go to PEP BOYS, that's right PEP BOYS. right off METROPOLITAN AVE, not only did I get a better price for same tires, wheel alignment, but they did all 4 of my new TPMS sensors too. They actually used the same calibrator that PACE had, and done everything for $1100. What !!! Everything is fine, no BS Just to let you know, the TPMS sensors I bought were less than $100 for all four, and are EBAY car part certified . My point is PACE could have worked with me, but chose not to, because they wanted to get their extra money for the tire sensors. Whereas. PEP BOYS didn't care they just did it anyway. I will admit that yes, maybe the sensors could be inferior i did not mention the employees nor the device name, just in case you may want to test PACE yourself. read more

I had just gotten my inspection done when the mechanic informed me I needed new tires and he doesn't sell or replace tires. I needed it done the same day as I had a prior commitment so I hopped on Yelp to see who was open and had good reviews and this is how I stumbled on Pace Tire Pros. I got there maybe 5 minutes after they opened and they already had a line out the door. I waited my turn and the super nice sales associate told me what I needed , the cost and how long I would have to wait. They were reasonably priced for what you would pay for tires and the wait was decent, I ended up going to get something to eat while I waited. When they were done my tires looked great and I even got insurance just in case(also affordable). What makes them stand out even more is that it's been a few months and they've checked in twice to make sure my tires are running well. I will definitely be back for any needs I might have in the future. read more

Quoted me over 4k to replace entire exhaust system which was unnecessary. Already was almost entirely in good condition and didn't need replacing, only fixing. Diagnostic didn't provide any value for their steep cost of 150: simply wrote the error code from their OBD reader, a generic description about the code that sounded AI-generated, and noted "rounded bolts". Gave no insight to what was causing the check engine light and instead said it could be caused by many things. Isn't the point of the diagnostic to diagnose what the specific issues are? Got second and third opinions and the other two mechanics showed me the rust that broke down on the muffler tube as well as a missing gasket bolt which were both causing leaks. Got it fixed for a fraction of the price and had no light since. This shop definitely knows how to upsell. Edit because I can't reply: There was no clarification that you were not an exhaust shop "upfront". I brought the car here noticing that the banner outside says you do check engine lights. I came in already knowing the code and that it was a catalytic issue. When I left the car, I spoke to the other man at the desk and told him the code (and you the day before) and that I do not plan on replacing the catalytic convertor if it is not necessary because cost is an issue. Replacing the entire exhaust for 4k on a 14-year old Honda (87k miles) is not reasonable to do at all and you know that too. From that interaction, there was no mention about the shop not specializing in exhausts, or the 150 fee for a diagnostic which is absurd for the value of pulling a code and visually looking at issues on a lift. You mentioned you price yourselves in-between the local mechanics but that is not true from what I've seen later which is $80 on average. Yes, you said a repair requires CARB certified catalytics, but saying you suggested me to go to an exhaust shop is a straight out lie. You instead offered a 10% discount, because 4k was a lot for an old Honda, to do the job with you (showing you still wanted my business), which even after the discount is still much higher than an exhaust shop. This snapshot is accurate because during my short time here, you misled me to paying an overvalued diagnostic and lied saying there was no mention about the diagnostic fee when there really wasn't. There wasn't when I talked to you before bringing in the car, nor with the other guy the next day when I left the car. There isn't even a sign posted inside the store for any fees which is standard at other mechanics. You did all this while knowing that you wouldn't fix the leaks and have to replace with CARB certified parts, but did not suggest me to go else where instead at any point. read more

My wife & I are very fond of Pace Tire. We've taken our car there & to other places. The other places can not compare to Pace. The staff are friendly & know what they are doing. This is the second time I have used this tire service and they have completely saved my life both times. I've had some bad luck getting flat tires the past year. They have really quick service. The employees are very kind and the prices are fair. I will continue to use them. I was driving on the LIE when a ladder fell off the back of a truck and I didn't have enough time to sort of out of the way and it completely destroyed my tire. I couldn't find anyone to come help me on the LIE during the corona virus pandemic so I drove to these guys and I was driving away 10 minutes later with a new tire. Thank you so much read more

Chris and Lawrence were both so friendly, they treated me like a regular on my first visit! Got my inspection done and two new tires, plus some helpful information about my vehicle in general. No stars. Money hungry. Second time they have robbed me. First time purchased four new tires for 800.00. 10 days later one pops. Was told not guaranteed. I must have hit something. Paid another 220 for another one. Swore I would never go there again but my 23 year old went there for convenience for an inspection. Told her a number of things need to be fixed. When I called I told them we would pick the car up and bring it somewhere else. Was told they will still charge for "failed" inspection. 37 so I ask to pass what "needs" to be done. Change headlight bulb. Ready for this???? Bulb 25. Labor 56.00. 56.00 for labor to change a light bulb. It makes me very sad that a neighborhood place will take advantage of people. read more

It's safe to say this place won't disappoint! After reading through many reviews on different car shops I decided to go with this one and I couldn't be happier that I did. The price was reasonable and the work was done with no complaints. I will continue coming here and I highly recommend! read more

Bought new tires last December and one developed a sidewall bubble, upon bringing the car in for warranty service they told me it was my fault hitting a pothole and immediately tried to sell me a new tire for which I declined.Took car to The Tire Place and told tire was defective and replaced in 5 minutes.Pace Tires are a disgrace to the automotive industry and I will never use them again. The Tire Place is honest and trustworthy, they treat you like a human being unlike the people at Pace. read more

You guys are the best!! Always ready to help and accommodate the customers. Never been disappointed in your services. Thanks.

Absurdly rude employees. We came over at closing time to ask a quick question, not even to ask for service. We had a issue where we could come back next day at regular open hours to give them some money for the service, but their employee veru rudly shut us down and didnt even care to ean our business i guess this pleace is doing really well and do not need customers to run their operations. It is very sad how customer service is a low priority to ppl when they have a flag for a bigger company loke goodyear outside their door, that is the representation goodyear has at the moment from the small business, and then tne small business owner complaint when the customers go to big corporations for service. I am very sad and disapointed that this is the kind of service we get from certain small business. These are the rotten fruit that ruim for all other small businesses read more

My neighbor recommended this place and im glad she did. They have excellent customer service and prices. Its a family owned business and as a single girl, im always scared to go to mechanics alone cuz they tend to over charge you. Not these guys! They explained everything in detail and my car now drives like new! Im not sure if its a new service because of covid 19 but they also dropped me off and picked me up when the car was done. I also read a sign that said they will pick up your car if needed. Very satisfied and will def go back to them. read more

Pace has been my first choice go-to for my car service and repairs for years, and coincidentally is close to my home. But I would go out of my way at to do business with them. Services are done as quickly as possible, which I also really appreciate...Thank you, Pace Team!! read more

I've been here twice before for a quick for state inspection and had no issues. It's a small service station that's pretty popular because I always see cars getting worked on when I'm there. The staff were cool and friendly. The last time I was there one of the service men who did the inspection gave me a heads up that I would need some new brakes soon which was cool. I will return for inspections and other car needs as necessary especially since its not too far from where I live. read more

My husband and I recently brought our car to Pace to get a new set of tires and really had a fantastic experience. Originally we spoke with Kevin and he was extremely helpful. He gave us different price options for the correct size tires and got us in when we wanted to bring the car. Unfortunately, after starting all the work, it turned out we also needed a few other things done. Matt one again explained everything in detail to my husband and was very professional. Originally he said he would need the car for another two days (in order to get the correct parts). Once my husband explained that I was pregnant and we needed the car he promised to have it finishes the next day by noon. To our surprise, 5:30 that night, the car was ready for pick up. He was able to get the part and finish up in order to help us out. Since we're new to the neighborhood we picked Pace based on yelp reviews and convenience to home. After having a great experience with them, we'll definitely be using them as our regular spot for car upkeep. read more

This goes out to Jose for the amazing customer service. I had an issue yesterday where I accidently pierced my tire in my back yard which I knew for sure was unrepairable. As a fairly new resident to Queens, I'm slowly transitioning away from doing most of my business in CT and looking for more places near my new home. Though Pep Boys was closer, I had a really poor experience when I took my GF's vehicle and I will never go back. Because of that, I was planning on going back to CT to Town Fair Tire, but they couldn't take me in until Wednesday the 13th. So after spending some time online looking for a more suitable destination, I came across Pace and liked what I read in the reviews. It also helped to see that they had great prices on tires along with a user friendly website. That night I bought my tires and made my appt. for Monday, 3 days later. The next day however, I received a call from Jose asking me if I would prefer to come in that day (Saturday) instead of Monday. The relief of when I got that call! I travel to work 80 miles round trip each day and I seriously did not feel safe driving to work on a spare tire. When I showed up about 30 minutes later, I was greeted with the upmost respect and friendliness from Jose. He thanked me for coming in on such short notice and got my car going right away. It was great to have him simply confirm my online purchase instead of trying to push me to purchase more than for what I came for. Nothing more throws me off than when an individual looks for ways to throw add-ons or try to convince me to do it their way. After signing off he told me that the car would be ready shortly. Wait time was better than expected and my new tires are amazing. ( I bought 2 FALKEN Ziex ZE960 A/S) Overall the experience was top notch. I love the prices, the product and the small business vibe I received from the employees. I'm happy to have come across Pace and I can surely say they have won me over. Go to Pace, you won't regret it! read more

I have been coming to Pace for the past two years. Pace is out of my way but it is the only place I trust for a state inspection. I had to tow my car there from my home. I went to two other mechanic shops with my car and its issues before I went to Pace Tire Pros. The other two mechanics could not figure out why my car had its starting and running issues. Within the first twenty-ish minutes of my car off the tow, Pace Tire Pros figured it out and also explained to me why it had these issues in a friendly manner. I cannot tell you how helpful and understanding they were. They were reasonably priced and got the job done and even topped my oil too. Will recommend read more

I've been meaning to write this review... I've taken my car here a few times for maintenance and they always have it running like new! This last time was especially awesome. I went in the middle of the Covid outbreak and not only were they actually open, but they were super efficient! The guys are really nice, down to earth, and I feel comfortable leaving my car in their hands. They've always been honest and have never tried to take advantage of my mediocre knowledge of cars or because I'm female. So happy I found this place. Definitely gonna be my go-to. read more
