When you see the run down menu board that no one actually orders from and some old gum ball machine by the front door as you're walking up to the little hole through the counter to order the food you know you're about to get some authentic Chinese. They give out good flavorful portion sizes and are extremely friendly to deal with. There is some seating inside but it's not the most pleasant lobby so most people take the food to go. Kung Pao chicken was great but a little on the mild side with spice which isn't abnormal as a lot of places will do this to play it safe. I got home with my order and once I opened it I knew it couldn't have been mine. I checked my email to make sure I ordered correctly. I didn't want to waste my time but I called them to at least let them know so they wouldn't give my order to someone else. They said it was correct and I was given chicken chow mein and they don't put noodles in chow mein. Why do you have it on the menu as chow mein then? Isn't chow mein at least fried? This is best Chinese spot in town. Their food is great I've had a number of things on the menu and I haven't been disappointed. The service is great and it's quiet inside. We've come to Good Taste a number of times and never been disappointed but tonight was really exceptional. The moo Shu pork was absolutely delicious, egg fu young very good and the egg rolls clearly prepared on site and very flavorful. Even the steamed dumplings seemed tastier than before. I loved this place for a long time. Spent hundreds there this year. Last time I went the food was awful but I didn't say a word and assumed it was just a bad day. Although I can't afford to waste food, it got trashed. Went back today, it was worse. All of it. Main concern was the beef fried rice, it had no onions, looked old, was completely flavourless, and so dry I can't choke it down. When I called I just asked did y'all change the recipe? Or did someone just forget to add the onions? I was told they did not and this is how they make it, that I have to add onions if I wanted them. That was just a flat out lie. Great food, the lo mien and sesame chicken are our favorites. One of the best Chinese places around, I do wish they had delivery though.

I've grown up eating plenty of rice and the rice here is awful. It is very hard and plastic-like. I ordered Lo Mein and was given rice instead. Instead of redoing my order, they gave me a side order of Lo Mein. We had to pick the hard plastic-like rice off of the shrimp and broccoli. We are very disappointed in the service, to say the least. And the rice should be inspected closely. There has been a lot of news, lately, concerning the production of plastic rice that is being sold mainstream. read more

What a terrible experience. Was a Sunday afternoon. Around 4. All day buffet price was 10.25. Decided to give it a try. Most of food was not hot. And I told the cook. She turned the other way and started talking in her language. Very rude. And the waitress would not pick up the dirty plates from the table. Accused of wasting food which was so wrong. I would never do such a thing but when you offer a buffet you must have the foods to be hot NOT LUKE WARM! I complained the crab rangoons were not hot at all. So the cook removed them, went to kitchen, came back 2min later with same Rangoons refried. They would not make fresh ones. Very bad service. Will never set foot here again. They did not feed me for free. I paid for my food. They must have better service. The manager even denied the bad service. Said I should go to another buffet. And I certainly will!!! read more
