Always welcome and they let us stay and visit, we are a family of 8 but all together we are 13, with grandchildren and significant others, it is awesome to be able to gather together and not feel pressure to go or not be able to bring the grands! I went to eat here and was on my way to be seated when the waitress hurried and grabbed a napkin and killed a roach crawling on the table. A man was actually eating at that table. She saw it before he did. It was not a small one either. I left. If they are that bad in broad daylight, that far from the kitchen, with customers present, they have a serious problem. Wangs is a gem in a small town. This is the only Chinese takeout I will eat from due to the lack of hygiene at other places. This is a good place to come for lunch. It is a buffet place conveniently located by Walmart in Zebulon. The food is fresh. Their sanitation rating at this time is a 94. It has a nice selection. This is our second time we have visited. I felt like the first time we came it was slightly better. But it certainly is not bad. We will probably return. read more

Well, I enjoy the taste of their food, I had a problem with their pricing at my last visit. At the register when you walk in, they have the price of $5.99 per pound for the buffet. I went to the Buffay I got food that was equal to 2.63. pounds by my calculation that would be somewhere around $15.76. when I get to the register I am charged somewhere around $21.75. I ask why it is so high, and I was told that I was only allowed to get one meat and one either rice or noodles. For each additional meat, there was an up charge in addition to the weight of the meal. Additionally, egg rolls that are on The buffet are charged $1.50 for each just like on the menu I found this a case of bait and switch. It is not is not good advertising and I believe that that is unethical. Like I said, I like their food, but I can't go along with something as a egregious this. I will probably come back, but I will never get anything off of the Buffay for takeout ever again, and I advise other people to never do it either. read more

Half-way decent Chinese Buffet located in the small town of Zebulon. Located in the strip-mall next to the Wal-Mart. The food is edible, but it seemed like it had been left on the steam table for too long. The egg rolls were excellent...but the various chicken dishes left much to be desired. The seafood medley was drenched in butter and it had a very odd taste. Pretty limited selection as well, but it is a small place, in a small town. The inside of the restaurant is nice, and it is one of the very few Chinese Buffet's that I have been to where the waitresses can actually speak and understand English. The price is reasonable, all things considered. Lunch is $6, Dinner is $9 (plus your drink). read more

Wangs bistro has almost good food. But it's all old food. The fresh food begins to appear around six pm. But don't go there to eat. I have been there five times. My return visits were strictly because they are the only place who serve boom boom shrimp. Ok so visit one... good food. Visit two ...they refused to clean up the buffet even after my personal request. Third visit... I purchased a take out tray and when I got home and ready to eat I realized that there were three long waxy strands of hair. Yikes. Refund refused. Visit four ... just left. It was smelly. Final visit was today. There's people everywhere. No social distance. And no mask required. Although they have signs posted EVERYWHERE. I've been going here for many years, and the food is decent for a small town Chinese buffet. The reason for my lower rating is the waiter. there's one individual that sometimes is what I consider rude to customers the last time a friend of mine and I were in the restaurant he was paying, and he chose not to leave a tip. At the register the wait staff Asked, was he leaving a tip and he said no she asked why he said that you were rude and she argued a bit with him and said next time I just won't wait on you. Today when I go into the restaurant, I eat the same wait staff was much more attentive and did a job well done. In my opinion she deserved a tip. However, when she brought me the bill, she hand me the bill and said your tip has already been added. I do not appreciate someone assuming that I am going to leave them a tip and tips are to ensure good service. Food was edible, but there was not a lot of selection. My husband didn't really like much on the buffet because of the limited selection, so he opted for sushi, they didn't refill that tray once while we were there. We waited patiently for more Philadelphia rolls to be brought out. My husband asked 2 of the staff there if there were going to be any more made, one lady muttered something he couldn't understand then walked away, the other lady (who looked to be the manager) looked right at him and then turned and walked away without saying a word. My kids didn't mind the food, they had some fries, pizza, some chicken & broccoli and fried rice. The place had limited desserts and a big sign on the ice cream freezer stating one per person and it'd be $1 if you left the place with it. We won't be going back, Hibachi Buffet on Capital is WAY better, we live in Wendell but we'll make the drive there next time we crave a Chinese food buffet. read more

Chinese Buffet in Zebulon around the Walmart. A good selection of food. Don't look for a Hibachi or soup station . I came on a Thursday lunch was quiet then people started to come in. The interior is nice and have huge chandelier in the middle of the buffet area. Chinese food is decent with the usual selection I like the veggie egg roll and Lomein. They have a variety of soups. Fried chicken and all kinds of meat represented. No crab legs or craw fish but they do have breaded shrimps. They have take out and Bathroom looks updated and clean. A nice selection of fruits and they have a refrigerator with ice cream bars with a sign one each. Saw some sushi rolls which looked good but no space to eat. If I'm craving for Chinese and I'm in the area this is the place to go. Wait staff is very nice @ $7.25 for lunch it can't be beat. read more

We drove an hour (away from good food) to eat here based on a review from the esteemed Bob Garner. I normally trust his reviews, but this time he was dead wrong. He has obviously never eaten real Chinese food. I recall his review on NC Weekend featuring quite a few traditional Chinese dishes as well as some beautiful fish. I tried the fish and found it to be incredibly salty and swimming in an oily water substance. It was cooked ok, but the salt and oil were horrible -- ruined the flavor of the fish. The fried fish were the kind you buy in a giant bag at a big box store. As far as the Chinese dishes went, they were meh. Fried chicken covered in general tso's sauce/orange sauce/sweet and sour sauce, chicken or beef with (wobbly) broccoli. Pretty average offerings. Oh, frog legs. They did have fog legs and sushi, neither of which I was brave enough to try my first time at a new restaurant. There were NO dumplings at all, which I found very disappointing. The remainder of the food was unremarkable. Most dishes weren't even that warm -- I doubt they'd pass the temperature portion of a health inspection. There was also this roll thing that looked, and tasted, like a bubba burger chopped up and wrapped in crescent rolls. The bathroom was kind of dingy and the table sticky. If it were the only option around, I'd eat here again, but it's not. We'll stick to what we know in our own home town. read more

The atmosphere seemed legitimate enough, with murals and a Chinese restaurant feel. The servers appeared to be a bit off putting, but that may be because English isn't their first language. I tried just about everything and it was all decent enough except the seseme chicken was god awful, which may, in part, be because it had been sitting out for some time. Wang's Bistro-They have a variety of food.The restaurant was clean.I brought my daughter with me and she enjoyed the desserts/ice cream.Decent price.I love the whole look they got going on in the inside. Friendly service. There was one downside for me, their egg drop soup tasted outdated. Personally I think it needed to be thrown out so a new batch could be made, this was upon opening at lunch time but it happens next time I may ask if it's fairly fresh not to be rude just sayin. read more

Great for a lunch outing! - I visited here with my coworkers and the quality was great. The service was excellent and the establishment was very clean... restrooms included. Their variety was somewhat limited having only the most common Chinese dishes e.g. General Tso's Chicken, beef and broccoli. However, they also have a sushi bar I found to be pretty decent. I will warn though that lunchtime is about the best time to try this restaurant. I gave this place a try with my family for dinner and gawd... just awful! Some of the dishes weren't that warm, the waitresses took forever on the drink refills and the restrooms were very unkept. I'm guessing this is because there isn't much of a crowd during the evening hours. read more

The management and employee was very rude to me and my grandchildren. I told them their ages and they continue to question my answers.my grandchildren are four, six and eight.after getting our food from the buffet the cashier approached my table asking what year the children born , what grade are they in. Then asking the children their ages. I said please address me not my children I have money and I have no reason to lie and to please leave our table asking the same questions over and over again.
