Floor dirty with torn vinyl, tables dirty. We circled items desired on a menu, ie, Wonton Soup, NO taste, 1 Veggie & 1 Shrimp Egg Rolls NUKED, Chick Cantonese served on pork fried gummy rice, sm bits of chick?? encased in soggy crust the size of hush puppies, NO veggies, Sweet Sour Pork??? sm bits of ??? meat over gummy rice encased with same & hush puppy size. (1 ) container of a dark rank liquid??? (1) container Sweet Sour Sauce actually looked and smelled as it should...$48.00. Don't know how they have a Grade A, should be closed. Place: Easy to find, next to Belk, plenty of parking space. Service: Friendly and fast. Food: Fried rice doesn't look like fried rice as it had no peas and no carrots, rice was just yellow with thin strips of chicken (chicken fried rice), maybe another version of rice who knows ... Kung Pao Chicken and Walnuts chicken was less than flavorful, flavor and presentation was so disappointing. Both dishes looked exactly the same the only difference was that one had walnuts. If I say more I'd probably ask for a refund but lesson learned. Portions are good size though, btw say hi to the roaches when you see them, they seem to like the place too. read more

Please whatever you do DO NOT eat here. I came and picked up food for dinner and the lady behind the counter was very rude. Even after she was shouting for me to "give her a minute" before I even said anything she insisted I leave a tip. I did not. Immediately after I ate the food I started feeling sick. I got to the point where I could not even hold a sip of water down, and was passing out. It got so bad I had to get rushed to the hospital because how bad the food poisoning I had was. I had to get pumped full of fluids and medication all because of eating here. PLEASE do not go here!!! read more

I moved to the area recently and decided to come in and try this place. Very reasonable prices. Their sanitation rating is at a 90 not terrible not great.always room for improvements. My daughter and I were very hungry so we ordered a pint of house special fried rice and 3 teriyaki chicken kabobs. It was fresh and actually really good. I would come back and order again. I was online at the drive thru of McD's in the same parking lot as Golden China. The line was so long at McD's I decided to get off the line and check out Golden China. When I walked in the woman quickly and pleasantly took my order. My food was ready in a few minutes and I had a lunch special. The food was good, I liked that the pieces of the General Tso's chicken were not huge and heavily fried. They were small pieces and tasted good. After eating the meal I mentioned to the women that I would have preferred some vegetables in the meal. She said all you have to do is ask for them and they'll put some in. I liked her accommodating attitude and the fact that I was able to get a good meal for a little over five bucks. This is pretty much typical mall Chinese food, which I say in a good way, not a bad one. It is hot, fresh, and plentiful and tastes good. read more

Went to the Golden China in Zebulon to get food to have for dinner while I watched a movie. The restaurant itself as far as atmosphere and looks is similar to other Chinese restaurants in the area / surrounding cities. Nothing too special a tad bit dirty but nothing a quick wipe down and sweep couldn't fix so no fault there. The service was really good! The lady at the cash register made my best friend and I feel welcome and was very friendly. My best friend ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo and a side of jumbo shrimp. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo and a side of crab rangoon. Our orders were to go. The food came out quickly and we were thanked and wished a good evening. As far as the food goes it is very filling. I did feel like it could have been cooked slightly better as far as crispness / filling of the sides. The chicken was a little greasy and the rice a little bit salty. The egg roll was a little well overdone but the jumbo shrimp was really good. The crab rangoon could have a bit more filling in the shell. I still enjoyed the taste and am full! If there was a little bit more attention to detail on the food then this would definitely be a five star review! Overall I did enjoy trying Golden China. read more

Filthy. Just filthy. Tables had dried food and sauce on them. Floor was dirty. You can't see the kitchen because it is blocked from view by the plastic sheeting. I couldn't find the health department rating anywhere. Does anything get cleaned here? read more

Favorite chinese place in town. Wife and i eat there at least once a week. The fried dumplings are the best ive ever had. *nice & sticky* and the pork fried rice actually has flavor! The folks behind the counter are always very nice especially on the phone and our food is always hot and ready in 15 minutes or less. read more

The prices are almost double what you pay for the other Chinese restaurant in Zebulon. The dumplings were gummy and not edible. The crab rangoon was over cooked with hardly any filling, the entrees were good but very small and at almost $14 a entree?? Definitely skip this place. read more

I ordered mu shu pork. All I got was vegetbles with a couple strips of seriously tiny slices of meat. I called to complain, they could care less. The bad part of it is is I paid tp get there by lyft. HORRIBLE! Not my first bad experience. Never shared before. Lesson learned. read more

Today was the first time I've been to this place. The Chinese restaurants in Spring Hope and Bunn are so bad I had low expectations of this place too. I was pleasantly surprised. While in the grand scheme of things I would consider this place average, it's above average for this area. Same menu and prices you'd expect from a take out Chinese food restaurant of this type. I got the General Taos and it was ok. I would probably try something different next time. My wife got the Chicken Cashew and she was very happy with it and said it was very fresh tasting. I went online to the Golden China website linked to this establishment. It advertised Wonton Soup @ $2.75/QT and the Pork Lo Mein Combination dinner @ $7.25 so I ordered pick up. When I arrived, I was told the total was $14.75 and not $10.00 as I expected! The Wonton Soup alone was $4.75! I showed them the pricing on my iPad and the owner said that was not their website and refused to honor the advertised $10.00 pricing! He also said other people have mentioned this website pricing issue! People, this is deceptive advertising, terrible customer service and the owner is only out for himself to make a buck! He should have honored the website pricing and needs to update his website. He won't because this is nothing but bait & switch to get you in the door to pay more!
