I ordered happy family wife ordered orange chicken. Both were hot and taste great. Price was very reasonable. Will go back again.

Egg rolls were very tough and not fresh. The fried rice was mediocre with nearly raw chunks of onion. Overall it was not bad, but not great.

Pretty good food in general. I thought the egg rolls were very good, not too much wrapper & a good amount of filling. It had a high "health/cleanliness score. I think is was over 98! Only complaint was the lady at the counter had VERY strong accent & didn't seem do too well with English. It sometimes makes it difficult to order in person. read more

Decent Chinese take out in FV. Got a variety of dishes. Moo Shu Chicken was a bit too salty for me and egg foo young is always greasy. Not my first pick but it's closest to where my cousins live. read more

Ordered take out from this restaurant for dinner. We ordered the large size house fried rice, General Tao Chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp lo mein, and fried dumplings. Price was reasonable, food was excellent and service friendly. We didn't order ahead, but for the size of our order, it was prepared quickly. read more

I ordered wonton soup, egg roll and a combination pork fried rice with sweet and sour chicken. Everything was delicious and was not overcooked. I went to a place around the corner for years, but then he retired and it was never the same. I've tried various restaurants and they were OK, but when I discovered this restaurant, I decided my search was over and this is a keeper. My granddaughter who is 11 is very picky and she actually loved it. Looking forward to ordering again read more

Below average Chinese food. Orange chicken was like fried chicken with orange sauce. Way too much batter. Fried rice was not authentic. It's a take out place so don't expect any ambiance. There's nothing special about this place. I should've driven the extra 8 minutes and gone to my usual. read more

Decided to order from New China since I was on a job in the area. They also had decent Yelp reviews. So I ordered my usual Hunan Chicken, egg roll, and hot n sour soup. I arrived a bit earlier than the recommended time, so my order was still in the wok. When finished, I decided to go back for the job site to eat up. When I got to the job, there was a lot of steam coming from everything so I couldn't wait to eat because it smelled so good. I love it when their hot sauce isn't those packets of hot red40 food coloring. Their hot sauce is some oil with lots of red peppers in it. Very authentic! The Hunan Chicken was heavenly with tons of flavor and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The shrimp egg roll was light, crispy, and bursting with flavor. Once the Hot N Sour soup cooled down (about an hour, lol) it too was very flavorful. This place is as good as it gets when it comes to shopping center Chinese places. I'll be looking for reasons to come back for more! Well done! read more

Pretty decent Chinese food- not my favorite in the area but most conveniently located

Cleanest Chinese place I have ever been in. We ordered online, and by the time we got there, our food was ready. Excellent Chicken Teriyaki, General Tso's, Fried Dumplings, and Crab Rangoons. First time coming, but it won't be our last! read more

New Rainbow - Front Counter - Chinese Near Me - Fuquay Varina, North Carolina

Fast service food good but too many begs like onion peppers cut into large chunks. Not pleasant

The food would be great if it wasn't so greasy. The service is a hit or miss. Sometimes good and sometimes it sucks. The attitude is always sour that's mostly the one star. read more

worst customer service i've had in a while. menu is misleading. overall ambiance is not positive. end up waiting a long time even if you order ahead. Food was fine but not worth the trouble, would rather go where wait time and menu descriptions are accurate read more

So great seeing everyone working so hard on Christmas Day being busy as they are one of the very few places open! Food was good! Best rangoons in the city. read more

Excellent veggie dumplings! I regularly get the Szechwan Tofu, Vegetable Lo Mein, and the Chicken and Broccoli - all are always fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend this little unassuming place tucked into a Food Lion strip mall. For affordable and delicious Chinese take-out, this place has all you need. read more

Total surprise. Just a normal little usual Chinese takeout. But everything was really tasty and kinda perfect. Boneless ribs, DUMPLIMGS, Chicken Lo Mein, Egg rolls, Cashew Chicken. Very very tasty. Definitely ordering again. read more

Excellent service, we went to the restaurant and placed our order. The service was quick and friendly. The food was great. The portions were on the money. The price was very comparable with other restaurants in the area. I will definitely be going back here. This has become one of my go to comfort food places. Thank you!!! read more

This is my go to place for egg foo young, the portion is so big and if I choose to share which is rare two of us can eat from one serving. Other menu items are good too, sweet and sour chicken and more. Its clean and service is quick, with very polite staff even over the phone when you place your order. read more

New Rainbow - a painting of a waterfall in a restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Fuquay Varina, North Carolina

This restaurant was very good for my first time there. I had the Orange Chicken, Fried Rice, and an Eggroll and it was pretty good. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good Chinese food! read more

All of our chicken dishes looked and tasted like rubbery canned chicken. All the sauces are sugary, slimy, and watery. The crab Rangoon were clearly frozen and mass produced. The quest for good Chinese food still continues in Fuquay-Varina,NC unfortunately...very dissappointing. read more

I've been ordering from this place via a 3rd party delivery app ever since the other Chinese food place I used to order from stopped offering that option. Lucky me because I found better food and more generous portions with New Rainbow. I don't know what the dine in experience is like due to trying to stay safe during Covid craziness. But my order has always been correct, hot, and delicious. One star off for prices. It can get a tad steep for Chinese food. Otherwise, no complaints. read more

We are relatively new to the Fuquay Varina NewRainbow Restaurant......three take-out visits within the last 6 weeks or so....so our exposure to the menu is somewhat limited. We have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service has been very friendly and attentive. Have not tried anything fried yet....corn starch I guess is what I mean.........but the stir fried Hunan.....Kung pow and Szechwan chicken and pork have all been wonderful .....at least to us. Generous portions and when you walk out of the restaurant.....you feel like you have gotten a fair price. We are happy we tried the Fuquay Varina Main Street New Rainbow. read more

Daughter ordered her food here instead of our typical go to in Angier and the price difference was almost 5 whole dollars for what seems like less food!! read more

I have eaten at "New Rainbow" many times. The food is good. The service timely and polite. Reasonably priced, adequte portions are another appealing aspect of this clean, family-run business. I do wonder why they don't serve Chinese black tea? The tea they have is a grocery store variety and is much too sweet. A lady works at "New Rainbow" whom I do not know; maybe an owner? What I do know is she has a beautiful smile and now that I'm recognized when I visit; if she's not consumed in the usual whirlwind of activity, she smiles broadly at me and says, "Hello." Which makes my day while providing a true personal touch to the heartbeat of good customer service. That's another reason to give this small, family-run restaurant a try everytime you feel like Chinese! read more

The same Chinese family has been running this place for years, and it's almost equal to the best take-out Chinese food I've had on this continent, and certainly the best in this region. The menu is fairly standard, but it's not one of those places where the vegetables change but the flavor stays the same -- Shezuan dishes, Lo Meins, Egg Foo Young, Mu Shu dishes all have their unique flavors. Soups are especially good here. There are just a few places where the ingredient quality could be higher or more consistent, but they have remained a notch above expectations for take-out. read more

We LOVE this restaurant. They know our faces and what we like to order without having to fill out an order sheet. Everything is cooked to the way we like it. Extra extra spicy. They always include extra red bean paste oil in our bag. Food is always good no matter what we try. The portions are very BIG. You can save them for 2 meals. We are always there at least twice a month. read more

The customer service is good. Friendly front Asian lady. Can't understand a lick she says but she's nice. The food isn't good. The rice taste like paint fumes and the sauces taste off. The fried rice has zero flavor. The only good thing here is the lo mein. read more

New Rainbow is one of the better Chinese food places in the area. Food is fresh and tasty. Sesame Chicken is fried perfectly. Portions here are definitely larger than usually which is nice. Prices are fair and the staff are very quick with your order. By the time you arrive it is always ready . Will return soon read more

Impressive compared to other local Chinese takeout joints. Owners were friendly, prices were reasonable, place looked clean (with a 97 sanitation grade) and everything was pretty tasty. We ordered a few things for our family of 4: hubby really enjoyed his crab rangoons and General Tso's Chicken, kids ate the majority of their sweet & sour chicken pretty quickly, and although my Kung Pao chicken wasn't as delicious as I was hoping for, the lo mein we ordered made up for it. Eggrolls were good, too. We'll definitely order from here again! read more

My husband and I love coming here for takeout. The food is great. Only downsides are that at times it can take a really long time, order ahead by phone. The ambiance isn't that great, just order take out. read more

We pick up from here once or twice a month. Consistently good take out. Hubby loves the sesame chicken and best Crab Rangoon in the area. I like to stop in, order, zip over to foodlion to grab stuff, and go back to pick up order on the way to car. Very hard working folks. I like that you CAN SEE THE KITCHEN... and it looks busy but clean! The shrimp with mushroom is pretty tasty too. read more

This is a small family operated business Great food and service! Prices are Awesome!

Ordered crab meat fried rice only to find out it was imitation crab and it tasted awful, had to toss the whole thing away. For 8.99 that's a rip off, if alternative or substitute ingredients like that are used at least have a courtesy to mention it on the menu. My spouse had boneless spare ribs and they were not impressive either, I've tried some and the meat itself tasted old, like it started going bad - again shows that this place doesn't seem to care much for the quality of their ingredients and the food they put out. Sad. Would not go back and would not recommend to anyone. Save your stomachs! read more

We get take out as a regular part of our week. They are very nicely priced. The meals are generous and can be split with someone or eaten as leftovers. We are a family of four and do both. I'm giving it 5 because it's the best Chinese takeout in Fuquay varina. The pork egg foo young is on point, and the hot and sour soup is good. Honestly I have tried every Chinese place within 15 miles of fuquay, and I won't be going back to any of them. This place is legit. read more

Always consistent and service is good. It's not the Ritz but serves its purpose for sure.
