I've been here 2 times. Drove from Knightdale hoping to find some good Chinese takeout. Both times, the service was blah. Not friendly. Not very rude - just a little. I ordered shrimp fried rice, chicken teriyaki, & a pork egg roll. I added egg to my rice for an extra fee. The first time, the rice was good. The second time, the rice was dry and overcooked. I literally had to add water to it and re-cook it just to add some moisture to it. The egg roll had no flavor & the cabbage was mushy. I'm still searching for a good Chinese takeout spot. Good Chinese food. One of the best in Clayton. I wouldn't eat in the restaurant since it's small but the food is pretty good.

We were hoping to like this restaurant since it is close to our new home. Person taking order on the phone was not friendly and gave me an incorrect wait time, had to wait an additional 20 mins past time food was supposed to be done. There were many people waiting, so was hopeful it would be worth the wait. Both my daughter and I did not enjoy our food, beef with broccoli and boneless spareribs, it was a bit greasier than these dishes are usually. I trekked out to Clayton to visit a friend for a girls' weekend, so obviously we were craving some good Chinese food (and lots of it!). Wok & Grill definitely didn't disappoint! After ordering enough food to feed the entire roster of a Little League team, we dug into the deliciousness. Portions were large and so flavorful! We ordered the large boneless spare ribs appetizer and dang they aren't messing around! This container was filled to the brim with flavorful spare ribs; we barely made a dent in them. The crab rangoons had the perfect amount of scallions (I like more than the average person) whipped into the cream cheese. Luckily we had the foresight to order 2 orders so we could snack on some on the ride back... Fast forward to a few quarts of adult beverages later and we still had a TON of food left, definitely hit the spot and kept us satisfied whilst the drunchies set in. We've been having some cravings for Chinese food so we decided to grab take out here. We ordered via phone and they said our order would be ready in 10 minutes. They're not real talkative, but they were fast and the food was priced right. I ordered a large egg drop soup and my husband ordered a general tso's chicken which comes with fried rice and an egg roll. We also got an order of crab Rangoon. Everything tasted just as expected. Have not had an issue before but tonight WOW! Ordered 3 soups and chicken fried rice at 6:00 walked to Food Lion to grab something and paid for my food after I came back good not ready so I sat down. 4 people ordered food and got there's and left. Still my food was not there. He finally saw me and yelled in back and by 6:50 got my food. No I am sorry or nothing. Coming from New York it's hard to find good Chinese food down here but this place checks most the boxes. The people are always so nice and Accommodating. The food is pretty good. Please dont support a business that treats a customer with 0 respect. The lady at the counter doesn't speak English, is extremely annoyed by having to talk to me and, to be honest, just has some type of an attitude. Sanitation is at 90.5 which seems a bit alarming. The food was alright, at least, little greasy. The rice tasted good but kung po chicken's veggies seemed out of date. Bland, strange tasting. Sesame chicken was large in quantity, drowned in sweet sauce and very greasy. It's not about the food, I usually give restaurants some slack (not expecting fine dining everywhere I go). HOWEVER, rude and lacking customer service that doesn't understand that we as consumers are paying their salaries is mind boggling and should not be accepted in this day and age. I do not recommend this restaurant unless you want to bring a translator with you and a chill pill for dealing with their personnel. read more

This place reminds me of the Chinese food in California. The food tastes great and they make it quick! Great for a night when you don't feel like cooking! The vegetable lo mein is like the chow mein from so cal. The orange chicken is delicious and my husband thinks the pork fried rice is good. Definitely try it. read more

I wanted to add to my order but got hung up on this last time calling. Typical Chinese place. The person at the front as others said wasn't the best. She was taking a phone order while taking my order so i expected my order to be wrong but it wasn't. I ordered in store instead of calling ahead and my food was still piping hot when i got home. I ordered the general tsos chicken and it was like any other Chinese place i have been to. The crab Rangoon was super good. Have i had better? Sure but for a Chinese place they were actually super good. The egg rolls were good too. Would order from here again. I stopped in today to pick up dinner for my family and some friends that were visiting from out of town. When I approached the counter the person working seemed visibly aggravated that I would dear to say "good afternoon, how are you?" Weird meat alert! My fears have come true. My husband ordered something like brisket soup and came home with the strangest meat I've ever seen. I swear it looked like something from another planet. It was spikey and milky colored. Perhaps a tongue or intestine. It's been hard for me to eat anything since seeing it and I will never return. Okay I have read some pretty tough reviews here but I was craving Asian food in a bad way. We have 2 orange chickens, 2 Kung poa chicken, 1 sesame chicken, two egg drop soups and egg rolls. YUMMY! We got it fast, hot and as ordered. There was enough to have two meals out of each meal. I like it hot so I added their chili oil and Siracha and boy was it gooooood. The soup with a little salt and pepper, to die for!!! You may have to ad some of your own tastes but that is no matter to me and it was so good, we will return. So the 4 stars vs. 5 is no delivery! Won't be back. Sesame Chicken was all bread with a tiny bit of dark meat inside. Had to cut many pieces in half to even find any chicken. Really gross, ended up giving it to our dogs. Steamed dumplings were way too thick on outside. The only thing my husband and I liked were the Crab Rangoons. I am typically easily pleased but could tell this food was poor quality. read more

I set my bar pretty low for Chinese joints like this one. They're usually pretty mediocre. This one is not even mediocre. It's very inconsistent, too. We like boneless short ribs. Sometimes they're good (which is why I'm giving them a second star), sometimes they're dry and tasteless. Do NOT get the fried wontons. They're a soggy, greasy mess. Your most average Chinese take out. It's been hit or miss over the year. Good things- shrimp egg foo yung. It was really really good. Could have cut the amount of onions down a bit. The lady at the front was really rude and seemed annoyed. I ended up getting Chicken Wings and Rice, Shrimp, and an egg roll. I found hair and other pieces of fabric in my chicken the shrimp were moldy and my egg roll was soaked in grease to a point where if you picked it up it would break. I am so disappointed, the ordering process was very difficult (not just language barrier but also talking to people while on the phone with me), but we got through it. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. My daughter went to pick it up and it actually took a little over 45 minutes. When she finally got home with our food the orders of "honey chicken" was not honey chicken at all. We got packages of deep fried chicken pieces and separate cups of sweet and sour sauce that I assume should be added. Right there I had 3 disappointed kids who wouldn't eat it. I ordered cashew shrimp for myself. I will say that the shrimp was large, tender and plentiful but the very thick brown sauce that it was in was not good. My oldest daughter had no complaints about the beef and broccoli but we will never order from here again. I feel like we paid $75 to have our time wasted and still ended up having to cook frozen pizzas for my hungry kids. read more

If it were possible i would give it negative stars. Hands down the absolute worst Chinese food i have ever had. I got Cantonese chicken which consisted of previously frozen banquet pressed chicken patties and some very over steamed veggies. Save your money you will just waste it there. read more
