I had become so tired of the same old pizza places in Dallas and really craving a new delicious pizza place to patronize. I've found it!! I ordered takeout from here twice and it has been great both times. I ordered the same thing each time - 16" Build Your Own with pepperoni and Jimmy's sausage. Thin crust, perfect amounts of cheese, sauce and toppings make for the most yummy pizza I've had in a while. Good Side is a quaint spot near deep ellum where there is only street parking. They have TVs and music inside, but I placed both orders over the phone with an AI ordering system that was not quite obvious. The call picks up complete with bustling background noice and a voice that sounded very authentic. The system responds very well to impromptu questions so it's a plus for me. I was able to pay over the phone and received a text with the receipt. Lastly, can I get hand clap for using locally sourced sausage from Jimmy's Italian Food Store?!!? This is one of my favorite neighborhood food marts with authentic fare and specialty items. Good Side gets 5 stars for that alone. This pizza place is superb! read more

Friday nights call for... PIZZA! We ordered a veggie pizza with beef, jalapeños and added pineapples for an extra razzle dazzle.. "but pineapples don't go on pizza!" Listen, this isn't a debate because they absolutely do make the pizza go from good to great! Back to the matter at hand, the pizza was so delicious that I only have a picture of the box because we devoured it as soon as our bums hit the couch! We had to call a couple of times to get an answer but definitely worth the small inconvenience because the cheesy gooey goodness was a blessing to my soul. You can dine in but I prefer to take mine to go. The establishment can seat a few people as it's an intimate sized pub. read more

Showed up here on a Wednesday night for pizza. The Capone (pepperoni and Jimmy's sausage) was very good. Wine selection is minimal but the price is right for what you get. And it turned out to be karaoke night and a lot of fun. The bartender that night was really helpful and a good guy. None of these were the best ever (pizza, wine, etc) but together it worked. A good place to come if in the area. read more

Yup, best pizza in Dallas so far! Just finished the HYROX race at the convention center and after destroying my body for an hour and a half, I knew I wanted to destroy some pizza and whiskey. This place DEFINITELY did not disappoint. The place was clean, staff were awesome, and the food was . If I lived in the Dallas area, this would definitely on my weekly rotation. This is now my favorite pizza spot in Dallas!! It's so good! I've had it about 5 times in the past 3 months. Everything in the menu is delicious, the crust is perfect and they aren't stingy with the toppings. Last time I went, they accidentally messed up another tables pizza and couldn't serve it to them due to an allergy so they gave it to us! We scored a whole pizza to go on the house. They're very cool and chill in there. The spot itself is small but not cramped. Highly recommend checking it out. read more

Got to-go for our first time. Mistakes happen, and when we got home noticed 2 main toppings were missing from a pizza. They closed when we noticed so had to just deal with it but a huge inconvenience. We arrived early and got a drink at the bar and customer service was great! Wow.... I am impressed. I live downtown, home of overpriced chain pizzas, artisanal oblong cracker crust appetizer pizzas, and others that are completely flavorless and/or overpriced for what you get. From a guy whose childhood was spent around pizza in the PA/NJ/NY area, there are only a handful of REALLY GOOD pizza spots... and Good Side is one of them. Saturday afternoon on TX/OU weekend, I found this place and decided to give it a shot. Ordered The Capone.. 16in with Pepperoni and Sausage (from Jimmy's Food Mart, which that alone sold me). Arrived at the pickup time, and they were boxing it up. Nice vibe, the lady bartender was very friendly in bringing my order. I live only a few minutes away, and I was highly impressed how it still had that great crunch on the first bite. Crust full of flavor, beautiful char. Sauce had great flavor and in the perfect amount. Cheese was great, pepperoni was perfect, sausage was amazing. Best pizza I've had in this area in over a year. I highly recommend it. Good Side has become one of my go-to spots in Deep Ellum. The pizza is great - flavorful sauce, good cheese, and a crust that's actually worth finishing. I'm weirdly loyal to their salad too; it's always fresh, crisp, and big portions. The drinks are great! I always start my night here with a few cocktails whether it's before a game or a concert. When Sam is behind the bar, everything runs smoother - he's quick, pays attention, and makes you feel taken care of even when it's busy he still remembers my usual order. Clean pizza pub. Atmosphere is nice, lots to look at. My husband and i ordered the zucchini sticks for appetizers, they were super crisp and a large portion. I have driven by this place a couple times in the last week and had to try it! The service was friendly like their happy hour prices. We went all in on the most expensive pizza on the menu Piggy Smalls, a Caesar Salad and the Fried Cheese. Let me tell you that Fried Cheese is top 3 in the Dallas Metroplex. As a connoisseur of the finest fried cheese this hit all the marks with a flavored crunchy outside and melty amazingness on the inside. I'd throw that on a stick and sell it at the State Fair. The Caesar never made it to the table but neither did my tinder date. The pizza came out with a surrounding crown of crispy delight with a chewy crust. I would review this as a tough NYC pizza trying to be a thin crust. The middle slices, cut like a square were soggier than my aunt Suzen. A fine brisket only flops like those center pieces did. Food was good! Nothing special about the pizza, but definitely very good! Crispy crust, thin which we liked. Sauce was good. The employees were extremely welcoming and the service was great. There ain't much like true Deep Ellum flare, and this place provides all of it and more. Upon entry, you are greeted with a sight of bright, vivid decor, and old 90's rock blaring in the background. But once greeted, you also are seated and feeded with some of the best Tavern style pies in the nation! Overall, this restaurant is amazing, and a hidden gem you can find in Dallas, and it'll always be worth a visit! read more

Only open for 5 months, but this place needs to grow in popularity! One of the best pizza's I've had in all of my travels across the US. It was low key on the Monday we came, so the staff had time to chat with us. Very cool guys who were proud of the company they work for. Great drinks to pair with the amazing pizza. I actually parked a few doors down from this spot on my way to paparazzi chop house. While leaving the chop house my inner pizza girlie came out, and I decided to go in. You are greeted with a warm "authentic" smile. I initially hoped they'd have slices to- go, and they didn't but prices are reasonable enough, so I ordered a 12" Margherita pizza. While waiting the bartender was engaging in a pleasant way. I wanted to try a drink, but didn't on this visit. However in speaking with the bartender I just know drinks are great! The pizza had a nice thin crust, and a great taste! I'll definitely be back as I would like to try their Popeyes Pie, Veggies Hipsta, and NY plain cheese. 3rd time in last night, waited for a few visits before I dropped my review... first the place is clean, well kept- bathrooms are clean Second, the service was very attentive, have sat at the bar, at a 4 top and outside-- all very good experiences. Third, the pizza is really good, great crust not too much dough-- perfect to really taste the toppings-- plenty of sauce, cheese and topping you choose. What a GRAND OPENING! I have nothing but positivity to say about Good Side Pizza Pub. The service was superb, very attentive and offered recommendations when asked. From the appetizer to the dessert I was impressed. We ordered: Fried Zucchini Caprese Salad 1/2 Margherita 1/2 The Meaty Capone *the Italian sausage is superb (taste very fresh & it's locally sourced* Tiramisu I would recommend everything we ordered! BEST COSTUMER SERVICE!!! Legit the staff saved us from a creep! But gave AMAZING SERVICE! The FOOD GREAT!!! Ciara and Val were amazing! They made sure that we had everything we needed and wanted! Can't say too much about the food, but the staff was incredible. Got stranded in Dallas (not from the area) with 2% on my phone trying to connect to a Lyft. Walked into Good Side hoping to find a phone charger, and without hesitation, they handed me a phone charger, along with water, and later even gave my group of 4 free meatballs that had accidentally been rang in. The staff clearly noticed we were distressed and running out of options and they were very considerate. The meatballs were great, and the servers saved us a 4 hour walk back to our house. read more

i have no idea who was working tonight but whoever the girl bartender/server is with dark hair needs to MEVER WORK CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN. couple words to help sum up my night. incompetent, disrespectful, rude, and condescending. she gave our food to other people that got there 20 MINUTES AFTER US along with every single other person in the building. after waiting almost 30 minutes for a pizza we decided to get a refund and they made us give the pizza back. That was just done, just so they could throw it away. long story short she is a HORRIBLE SERVER and doesnt know how to do our job. read more

Sure, I could have asked for "light pepperoni", but then I'd be paying full price for less topping, and that just goes against my personal philosophy. I'd love to see a "light pepperoni" option priced accordingly. ALSO not it is the good and greasy cupping pepperoni, kinda spicy. The pizza was also a little unevenly prepared. About half had a thicker crust while the other half was noticeably thinner. I definitely preferred the thinner side. Service was perfectly fine, the bathrooms were clean and nice, and the pizza was good overall. Just be prepared for the QR code marathon before you get to enjoy it.
