I had become so tired of the same old pizza places in Dallas and really craving a new delicious pizza place to patronize. I've found it!! I ordered takeout from here twice and it has been great both times. I ordered the same thing each time - 16" Build Your Own with pepperoni and Jimmy's sausage. Thin crust, perfect amounts of cheese, sauce and toppings make for the most yummy pizza I've had in a while. Good Side is a quaint spot near deep ellum where there is only street parking. They have TVs and music inside, but I placed both orders over the phone with an AI ordering system that was not quite obvious. The call picks up complete with bustling background noice and a voice that sounded very authentic. The system responds very well to impromptu questions so it's a plus for me. I was able to pay over the phone and received a text with the receipt. Lastly, can I get hand clap for using locally sourced sausage from Jimmy's Italian Food Store?!!? This is one of my favorite neighborhood food marts with authentic fare and specialty items. Good Side gets 5 stars for that alone. This pizza place is superb! read more

Friday nights call for... PIZZA! We ordered a veggie pizza with beef, jalapeños and added pineapples for an extra razzle dazzle.. "but pineapples don't go on pizza!" Listen, this isn't a debate because they absolutely do make the pizza go from good to great! Back to the matter at hand, the pizza was so delicious that I only have a picture of the box because we devoured it as soon as our bums hit the couch! We had to call a couple of times to get an answer but definitely worth the small inconvenience because the cheesy gooey goodness was a blessing to my soul. Showed up here on a Wednesday night for pizza. The Capone (pepperoni and Jimmy's sausage) was very good. Wine selection is minimal but the price is right for what you get. And it turned out to be karaoke night and a lot of fun. The bartender that night was really helpful and a good guy. None of these were the best ever (pizza, wine, etc) but together it worked. Yup, best pizza in Dallas so far! Just finished the HYROX race at the convention center and after destroying my body for an hour and a half, I knew I wanted to destroy some pizza and whiskey. This is now my favorite pizza spot in Dallas!! It's so good! I've had it about 5 times in the past 3 months. Everything in the menu is delicious, the crust is perfect and they aren't stingy with the toppings. Last time I went, they accidentally messed up another tables pizza and couldn't serve it to them due to an allergy so they gave it to us! We scored a whole pizza to go on the house. They're very cool and chill in there. The spot itself is small but not cramped. Highly recommend checking it out. read more

I live downtown, home of overpriced chain pizzas, artisanal oblong cracker crust appetizer pizzas, and others that are completely flavorless and/or overpriced for what you get. From a guy whose childhood was spent around pizza in the PA/NJ/NY area, there are only a handful of REALLY GOOD pizza spots... and Good Side is one of them. Saturday afternoon on TX/OU weekend, I found this place and decided to give it a shot. Ordered The Capone.. 16in with Pepperoni and Sausage (from Jimmy's Food Mart, which that alone sold me). Arrived at the pickup time, and they were boxing it up. Nice vibe, the lady bartender was very friendly in bringing my order. I live only a few minutes away, and I was highly impressed how it still had that great crunch on the first bite. Crust full of flavor, beautiful char. Sauce had great flavor and in the perfect amount. Cheese was great, pepperoni was perfect, sausage was amazing. Best pizza I've had in this area in over a year. I highly recommend it. I'm weirdly loyal to their salad too; it's always fresh, crisp, and big portions. The drinks are great! I always start my night here with a few cocktails whether it's before a game or a concert. I actually parked a few doors down from this spot on my way to paparazzi chop house. While leaving the chop house my inner pizza girlie came out, and I decided to go in. You are greeted with a warm "authentic" smile. I initially hoped they'd have slices to- go, and they didn't but prices are reasonable enough, so I ordered a 12" Margherita pizza. While waiting the bartender was engaging in a pleasant way. I wanted to try a drink, but didn't on this visit. However in speaking with the bartender I just know drinks are great! The pizza had a nice thin crust, and a great taste! I'll definitely be back as I would like to try their Popeyes Pie, Veggies Hipsta, and NY plain cheese. We went all in on the most expensive pizza on the menu Piggy Smalls, a Caesar Salad and the Fried Cheese. Let me tell you that Fried Cheese is top 3 in the Dallas Metroplex. As a connoisseur of the finest fried cheese this hit all the marks with a flavored crunchy outside and melty amazingness on the inside. I'd throw that on a stick and sell it at the State Fair. The Caesar never made it to the table but neither did my tinder date. The pizza came out with a surrounding crown of crispy delight with a chewy crust. I would review this as a tough NYC pizza trying to be a thin crust. The middle slices, cut like a square were soggier than my aunt Suzen. A fine brisket only flops like those center pieces did. Can't say too much about the food, but the staff was incredible. Got stranded in Dallas (not from the area) with 2% on my phone trying to connect to a Lyft. Walked into Good Side hoping to find a phone charger, and without hesitation, they handed me a phone charger, along with water, and later even gave my group of 4 free meatballs that had accidentally been rang in.
