I orderd the pizza and it took about 8 mins and customer service was really good. The food tho is really bad the sause left a rotten taste in my mouth and the pizza itself started sticking to the box after 2 mins so bad to the point that it was like eating a used bandaid. Well, this review hurts. Mimi's has been my go to, and the place I recommend to anyone looking for NY pizza for ages. But the last 3 times I've been here, the pizza has been sub-mediocre. Picked up takeout and can say service was great. Decent sized seating area inside with a couple TVs. They sell by the slice and have a ton of options to choose from. Went with a large pepperoni pizza, a Caesar, mozzarella sticks and a pepperoni pinwheel. The pizza was solid, sauce was tangy, thinner style crust with little flop, good amounts of cheese and pepperoni. Mimi's is my favorite pizza in the area. We did a family taste test competition between Lovers and Mimi. It was tie, 2-2. I personally thought Mimi's had a slight edge but both pizza were excellent NY style pizzas for the Park Cities area. I find Lovers pizza to have a better crust than Mimi's. Mimi's is slightly cheezier and I prefer the taste by a hair. But the two pizzas are very close. It was a great pizza taste test. Everyone knows the rules.... read more

I'm on the hunt for the perfect pizza (for my tastes). I've driven by here for decades. Put down the highly advertised national chains' slices and pick up the cannoli from here! Easy to find and has a huge parking lot which does get busy at lunch and evening meal time. They have dine in and take out. They were supporting some of the delivery services. I ordered a salad, pizza, drinks and of course a cannoli! The salad was huge and tasty (plenty for 2)! The pizza was really good! WAY better than the chains I won't mention. This is my new favorite place to come for pizza. I have ordered a few times for pick up and their pizzas are delicious including the crust. I have tried their Pepperoni and Meatball pizza and they are both delicious. I fought the urge to add extra cheese. I had more than enough on both visits. If you're not in the mood for pizza, grab a hot sub or pasta. Everything is prepared fresh so expect to wait a reasonable amount of time for your order. Kids menu , Gluten free and Dessert. Hands down THEE best NY style pizza here in DFW. Many other places claim to be NY style but hey this NY native really knows her pizza. When I asked for a mushroom slice, they put mushroom on a regular slice and then put it in the oven. That is how you do it. The crust was crunchy, thin and it held its own. I made the fold and there was NO soggy pizza here. Light and sweet sauce with just the right amount of cheese and YES it had the oil on top of the cheese. Maybe the only thing, if anything was that my crust didn't have a giant air bubble.. but that's a very minor detail... *changed from 4 star to 5 stars after I returned and order linguine with white clam sauce and fried calamari! This is my personal go to spot whenever I'm craving a NYC style pizza. The pizza always comes out the oven a little charred on the bottom and on the crust which is how I like my it! One specialty pie I will recommend is the Mimi's Pie. The garlic and ricotta makes a huge difference in terms of flavor. Their covid protocols could be better in terms of having all employees wear mask properly or using gloves while making the pizzas so just be wary of this before you go. One more thing. Do yourself a favor and order a fresh pie for takeout instead of grabbing one of the pre-made slices if you want the best tasting pie :). read more

I was really expecting more from this here according to the reviews. They sell pizza by the slice but there were only about 5 pizzas to choose from and they all looked as if they had been sitting there for a while. We ordered the medium supreme pizza minus the onion and green pepper. We also got the spinach pizza roll which was delicious. Once the guy brought our pizza out I immediately noticed the green peppers. I said we asked for no onions and green peppers his response was "I only heard no onions" as he continued to set the pizza down. I said yes I said no peppers he said "well I didn't get that" and turned to walk away I said well I guess we'll keep it. We had to pick the green peppers off, the sauce was just a regular jar taste sauce, there was a decent amount of toppings and the crust was good. It would have been nice if he would've asked if we would like for the pizza to be remade as ordered. Since I don't like to waste food I would have said it was ok and picked them off as we did but he didn't even offer to fix it. Be careful of the swinging kitchen door. It will smack you if you're not paying attention when staff goes into the kitchen. read more

I am a massive fan of Mimi's Pizza - although the girl I was with didn't like it, because it was too greasy for her (like most men). It reminds me a lot of a pizza place in the Northeast. The style and taste of the pizza and the little spinach rolls and pepperoni rolls (called Pinwheels in these parts, maybe) are very much like the wonderful greasy delicious authentic Italian American Northeastern style family-owned pizzerias. It's wonderful to find one down in Dallas and proves that it can be done. Service was okay. They weren't particularly unfriendly but they did leave my stuff sitting out while they were ringing people up for sodas and having conversations so that was a little annoying. And they didn't stare at my Barbie as much as most men do. Just a little. She prefers constant eyes-on-me-type attention. Obvi. Also I asked what to do with my knife and fork and the guy told me (aggressively) go put it back on your table as if I was an idiot. I'm not an idiot and charm School could be a good idea for you sir. Still, I'm not one to let iffy service put me off the best pizza in the entire DFW area. The prices aren't great either but nevertheless the products are amazing and this is easily five stars. And if you run into me and my gf here, make sure to check her out more than the employees did.
