    Fun!

Fun! The mescalarita was great and happy hour is a steal. Vibe is fun. They need to find a new house red--it is kind of bitter and uninteresting. For the same money they could get a nice cheap French.

My husband and I love tiki bars, so while in Denver we stopped for drinks and dessert at Adrift…read more This small space is transformed into the tiki ambiance with hanging lamps that resemble netted glass buoys, chandeliers made of puffer fish, pinup hula girls, and a large portrait of Marlon Brando in "Mutiny on the Bounty." Seating consists of clubby booths, small tables, high tops, and the bar. You can make reservations, but we managed to snag a table on a Friday evening as a walk-in. Tiki drinks are notoriously strong, but there are also sections of the menu for low ABV and non alcoholic drinks, which is good for me! I got the El Presidente, and my husband had the POG mocktail. Both yummy! Also yummy was the chocolate Kaluha toffee mud pie, which was awesome but very rich so the perfect thing to split. We didn't have dinner here, but we heard the next table going into raptures about how good their food was. Since the space is rather cramped, you will hear all the gossip from the drunk people at neighboring tables, which got hilarious after a while. Our server, Alex, was friendly and on the ball. Overall, a fun spot for dinner, drinks, dessert or all three. Mahalo!
