My experience with Good Green Movers / Celis Movers was very positive. They sent a crew of three guys over who arrived on time and hustled. They moved my beloved piano with tender care, and all the other household items arrived perfectly unharmed. They were great at helping disassemble and reassembling furniture, and cleared a two bedroom house in just over 4 hours. Thanks again to Jonathan for keeping in good phone contact before and after the move to ensure we got everything we needed. Prices were the best I found. The move started off great. My wife and I did a lot of research, as we wanted to get a local company that wasn't a broker. We were also going to be storing our goods at their warehouse, so having good communication and a local person to speak with was very important to us. The move and first few months of storage were super smooth. After a few months of storage the the rates went up, significantly. Strike 1. Years later we asked the owner for a mover recommendation, as we would be moving our goods internationally. Upon receiving the recommendation, we proceeded with the giving the mover a deposit. As the moving time approached, we reached back out to the movers - no response. After a lot of searching, calling, texting and e-mails we spoke with the local police - it was a fraud. The moving company that was recommended was stealing money, and had a history of fraud. The owner of the moving company had recently been released from jail for....fraud. Not exactly a great recommendation. We had to go through our credit card company to get our money back. Strike 2. Then the company was sold. The new owners are very hard to get ahold of. They charge you extra every chance they get. Strike 3. -When the company sold, they threw away my inventory list. I had to pay them to re-inventory. -It was approaching the moving date, the movers wanted to look at the vaults, I had to pay to bring the vaults forward. -On moving day (10 days later), the vaults were again somehow in the back, I had to pay again to bring the vaults forward. -After storing our belongings for almost 4-years, moving day arrived. We spent tens of thousands of dollars to store our belongings. Lots of extra charges. In the end we were also charged for the use of moving blankets. A nice $200 final bill. I cannot recommend this company in good faith. Be careful what you are signing up for. A storage unit maybe a better bet, rather than the vault setup at Good Green. I'm giving 2-stars because there were moments where we felt like valued customers, but mostly we felt like were we just waited to receive the next extra invoice. The happiest day was then we paid the final invoice, and finally cut ties with Good Green. read more

I paid this company "Good Green Movers" $15,000.00 to pack me and move me, but instead they went rifling through my property and stole all my tools for my re-upholstery business and very expensive upholstery fabric. They went through my stained glass property of which I had extensive molds to make Tiffany stained glass lamp shades, they stole 8 eight cured lamp shade molds, an almost complete stained glass window commission job and coordinating glass, brass caps and spiders. They also went thru all my drawers and stole a Swiss topaz gemstone necklace I was saving for my wedding. They stole a lot of my artwork that I have done when I was a child. A lot of my cat statues and other cat artwork and needlepoint that I made for my father and brought it back from his estate! This added up to more than $200,000.00 loss. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life! read more

Good Green Moving/Storage is the most unprofessional and unethical moving company I have ever come across. Specifically the owner Jonathan Cook is a shady douchebag. I have been dealing with Good Green, storing my belongings at their facility in Petaluma for over two years. In October 2022, out of nowhere they increased my storage fees by over 150% claiming they were undercharging me this whole time, based on the number of storage containers and the cost agreement I had made with their former CFO was null and void. I had moved out of state and was asking how many containers I had exactly and Jonathan couldn't even give me a straight answer - was it 5, was it 6, was it 7? Turns out, when I showed up to get my stuff out of storage, one of the storage containers they had under my name, wasn't even my stuff. In addition, Jonathan charged me fees for me to come go through my stuff and inventory and set aside for the moving truck to load, he gave me an estimate that was way over the amount it actually took me and tried to charge me for an extra helper as well. Dealing with Jonathan is also an awful experience. He was incredibly condescending and based on the other reviews, specifically by other female customers - this is his MO. The only bright spot in that whole company is Eric, the Warehouse Manager as he is honest, ethical and a good human being, unlike his boss. Eric tried to work with me in a fair manner and when I had to leave my stuff in storage for a few days extra, Eric was not going to charge me. And then Jonathan basically undermined him and told him he had to charge me, after Eric and I already had a verbal agreement. Yes, this is the type of business proprietor Jonathan is. Anyone who's thinking of hiring Good Green, I implore you to dig through reviews as this is truly a dishonest and not transparent company and the Jonathan the owner is a terrible person and business owner. read more

This company doesn't deserve even 1 star. My extremely negative experience with Good Green Moving is directly due to its owner, Jonathan Cook for these reasons: * Mr. Cook engaged in concerning and possibly illegal business practices on behalf of Good Green Moving (documented in writing, see also below) * He extorted more $$ from me on the day of my move by holding my property hostage until I agreed to pay additional undocumented fees he levied on me * He insulted and bullied me and when I questioned him and refused to pay his extortionist fees to release my goods. * Finally, he attempted to get me to sign a waiver of all legal rights under duress while holding my good during his extortion attempts. (I have all this in writing.) I unfortunately had 2 related moves with Good Green: Move 1 5/22: From my SF loft in May to sell it, with temporary storage of my items until October. Move 2 10/7/22: Moving stored items to a new house in Sonoma County. VERBAL ABUSE My experience with Mr. Cook's verbal abuse and behavior was also very similar to other public reviewers (see: Christine L's 2-star 4/25/22 Yelp review: https://www.yelp.com/biz/good-green-moving-san-francisco-2). From these other reviews, it seems that Mr. Cook has a pattern of insulting and threatening customers, particularly women, when being called out by them for service and billing issues. Specifically, Mr. Cook's insults included: * telling me my new house was "crap", that his was "way better than mine and "cost way more money" * that I must be single, because clearly "someone like you would be single because no one would want to be with you" * that he was smarter than me because he owns "like, 4 businesses" and knows "WAY more about business" than I ever could * that he "had way more money than me, like 1 million dollars in the bank, liquid" ...and much more than that. NOTE: Mr. Cook's personal attacks on me were directly witnessed by several other shocked people via speaker phone and who recorded them verbatim in writing at the time. CONCERNING BUSINESS PRACTICES In addition to the extortion mentioned above, Mr. Cook directly engaged in the following contract-violating and possibly illegal business during the course of both moves and storage of my goods: * Charging my credit card *after* Move 1 for moving services that were neither performed nor that I agreed to in writing. Since such an act could be construed as fraud, this matter is currently being investigated-- I will update this review accordingly. * Charging more than the written contracted price for moving supplies. One example: The "Move 1" contract stated that there was a $10 / furniture blanket used charge, but his movers then charged me $20 / blanket *at the end of the move* and claimed I could "get $10 back when I got my stuff out of storage." (Mr. Cook ultimately refunded me part of the overcharge after I complained.) * Charging unpublished credit charge payment surcharges of 4% at the end of Move 1, with only cash / check as the non-fee options offered to me at the end of a long day by his very apologetic move lead. (I asked the move lead about Venmo -- I was expressly told "no Venmo for move payments, only for tipping the move crew." At no point, either verbally or in writing, did Mr. Cook disclose that there would a surcharge for credit card payments. which is potentially in violation of several California statutes, including those restricting which businesses can legally pass on surcharges. (Mr. Cook refused to refund the surcharges when i contacted him in writing.) * Failing to disclose in writing in *any* contract(s) the actual costs of storage. I received only 1 number for storage costs in a May email from Mr. Cook prior but never in a contract. After 3+ months, Mr. Cook and his warehouse manager then each told me two *different* sets of warehouse storage prices via email, but never once getting my consent to ANY fees in writing. I have more issues I could share about my experiences but am now investigating other avenues of recourse against Good Green Moving. read more

I don't recommend this company. Their 3 movers showed up high, took twice as long as planned to move a 2 bedroom apt. The costs were ultimately 50% over budget because of their slow moving. A couple of things were damaged in the move and the company won't do right by us. Poor Jonathon who represents the company is always gone for personal growth, total flake. Look elsewhere....don't be fooled by the green in their name....the only green you will see is your money flying out the door. read more

We have used Good Green Moving company 4 times in the past 7 years, these guys are absolutely great from the office staff to the guys in the field. Methodically moving our huge 77" OLED flatscreen from one location to the next was executed in Good Green Movers fashion !!! Caring about every move with all your precious items was great as well. Rob was amazing how he orchestrated his crew on our move. Edgar was the lead guy in the field and all his hard work with his team was shown 10 fold !!! These guys where machines traveling back and forth making every move count as forward motion !!!!! Not only did they accommodate me but they were VERY responsive, very polite, the price was very competitive and they did what they said they would do. We recently moved and decided to use the Good Green Moving services! The process was nothing less than wonderful! When it came to moving day, Edgar called me and they could be at my home EARLY! We used Good Green Moving for our move for rom a one-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom. It was easy to book an free visit for an estimate. Robert Avila arrived at the scheduled time and was very nice and professional. On the day of the move, our three movers were Abraham, Jake, and Hector, all of whom were also very nice and professional. They moved everything quickly, all in perfect condition, and let us know what they were planning to do before doing any of it. They really took care to arrange our furniture exactly as we wanted it and were very nice to work with. I like to thank Good Green Mover's for their excellent job. We were down sizing from a big home to a smaller . We had to decide what was going to storage , donate or move to our new place. They handled it all .They were courteous hard working young men. I had some very heavy furniture with lots of glas that had to be moved up some very steep steps .
