I ordered the Rigatoni pasta and the citrus au lemon for desert. The pasta was actually very good and super filling. I couldn't even finish it all! My only complaint is that I couldn't taste the truffle in the breadcrumbs at all :( although I did like the breadcrumbs! They added a nice crunch to the pasta. The citrus au lemon was fantastic. It came with pieces of gold on top! (Flavorless but adds a nice aesthetic touch) presentation was 10/10 and it wasn't too sweet that it was overbearing. I split this with a friend, but could honestly eat the whole thing myself! Pricing was on the higher side, but you're definitely paying the the ambiance as well. I have never been to a hotel restaurant that I thought was as good as a regular, high quality restaurant, but this was the case. Great service, good bar, and we had the branzino fish, which was outstanding as well as the broccolini and other things that came with it. I was skeptical of the good reviews the restaurant already had (so many losers write great things about hotels, for some reason, and it just ain't so!), but we went because we were staying at the Marriott (which is new, quite well done). Good Graces is a stylish little spot with friendly service, chic decor, and beautifully presented food and drink. We stopped here for brunch and enjoyed everything we had, with the highlights being the presentation of the bloody marys (served with a mini Tabasco sauce on the side - I looove cute little details like that!), the amazing and perfectly crunchy fries, and last but not least, the beautiful lemon tart. Had dinner here last night with my boyfriend. Wanted to start off by saying all of the staff members are so nice. Our server was Matthew and he was amazing! We started with the oysters and pork belly, both were delicious. For cocktails I tried the tropical greyhound, which I liked but towards the end was very sweet bc of the sorbet melting. Also tried one of the cocktails from the tanqueray champion shaker, ( I chose the sour with cucumber & mint) it was so cool to watch! For entrees we tried the Peruvian chicken and the carbonara, both were delicious. For dessert we tried the citrus au lemon, it was refreshing and sweet. Went to dinner here with some friends. The atmosphere and decor were really nice/beautiful. The service was on point as well. The food is were I was let down. I got the TX Wagyu Steak $38.00 cooked medium rare. The steak was cooked to the correct tempertaure but was just okay, it was tough and very chewy. There is no way this was actually wagyu quality. The chimichurri it came with was meh, overly salty and less herby. My asparagus was a little undercooked since some pieces were much larger than others. The fries were the best part of my meal, perfectly crisp. Overall, just okay food wise and since it is part of the Mariott the drink prices are really high. read more

My friend and I dined at Good Graces the first day it opened after the epic winter storm. Although the menu was limited. the food quality made up for it. We have split a couple of delicious appetizers and both had steak for an entree. It was cooked to perfection with the side of asparagus and fries. Craft cocktails at Good Graces deserve a separate five-star review. We tried four different cocktails and all of them were complex, well mixed and creative. Their mixologist even made me a special drink when I mentioned what flavors I like in my cocktail. I will go back in a heartbeat to Good Graces just to sample more of their delicious cocktails, but for the food too. Our server Matt was attentive, courteous and a good conversationalist. Although Uptown has many restaurants, Good Graces is likely to become one of our favorites. read more

Best dining experience we have had in SO LONG! Sam and Todd made our anniversary tonight a night to remember. We had a beautiful seat inside with a view of the fire. Sam helped us celebrate with some champagne and helped us pick our appetizer to start with. The Tuna Nikkei is probably one of the best dishes I have had in quite some time. Such amazing bold flavors! Our waiter Todd was so attentive and helpful. He recommended the market special of the Shrimp and Grits and it was chefs kiss! The salmon pave was perfect for a light meal and the desserts were both amazing! The Peruvian hot chocolate had a pinch of spice and perfectly sweet. The cheesecake was light and refreshing too. Dined here for the first time at end of May 2021. We really enjoyed the food and service. Makayla was charming and very appropriately attentive. The rest of the staff was also friendly and prompt. The food was very good, including Peruvian chicken, salmon, bone marrow, and carbonara (the best thing I tasted). I would probably not order the endive salad again (not very appealing to the eye). On a whim my boyfriend and I stopped in this restaurant while in the area. Could not have been more pleased with the entire experience! The bar was great, But the restaurant is really the hidden gem! The moment we sat down they brought a warm, fresh baguette with herbed butter... delicious! The two items that were recommended were the flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce and the rotisserie chicken! Amazing! We came here for a friend's birthday dinner and had a group of 10. They seated us so quickly and were immediately so welcoming and happy to have us there. Our waitress Jennifer was amazing and so attentive. The manager also was so helpful and moved a bunch of heaters over to our table on the patio. All of the food was delicious, especially the mussels! The highlight of our dinner was the pastry chef Zach (who is coincidentally a Netflix star) bringing our friend a chocolate charcuterie board for her birthday. It was so thoughtful and so delicious! Our reservation got canceled without us being notified. We're so glad we called to make sure they were still open. The lady we spoke to said they weren't because their food order wasn't delivered due to weather conditions- understandable. Given the weather conditions, you should also make sure you notify your guests that they shouldn't bother walking over in the snow or driving over because you're closed. Again, so glad we called. Also, I'm not sure I believe their food order wasn't delivered since I just saw a Yelp review of someone dining there on Valentine's day (same day as our reservation). To say Good Graces was disappointing would be an epic understatement. The service was terrible. Our waiter had no knowledge of the menu and could not possibly have tried less to be accommodating. We had to request place settings. Everything from flatware and napkins to appetizer plates and water. I requested a water refill 3 times before finally asking again and getting action. A second round of drinks took at least 30 minutes to show up and also had to be questioned. I witnessed other patrons help themselves to place settings from the server station and even one person actually pour water from USED glasses on another abandoned table. Had the food been edible perhaps we could have been more forgiving of the carelessly slow service. I've never left a plate full of food anywhere but even after switching dishes with my friend we were disappointed. This was not a matter of simply not liking what was ordered. The salmon was quoted to be on a bed of greens and eggplant but arrived on a disgustingly sour mix of pickled carrots, such a specific taste and detail left completely off the menu and not mentioned by our clueless server upon asking about the dish. The Carbonnara pasta was soaking in sauce so salty it was inedible. You'd expect a server to ask how things are, particularly when clearing 3 people's plates practically still full of food, but by that point in the meal my expectations were so low it came as no surprise that he said nothing. It wasn't until we were signing our checks he even bothered to ask!!! I wish I had seen a review like this before making reservations for a special night out with my girlfriends. The name Good Graces couldn't be less appropriate for this place. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Restaurant in the lobby of the new Marriott in uptown. As far as hotel restaurants go it's pretty good! The interiors was beautifully done, it's a big restaurant and there wasn't a wait on a Thursday night. Their menu is not that big but the options they have on the menu all seem like good ones. My husband and I ordered the pork belly starter with farro and shared the rigatoni and we were very satisfied. The pork belly was crispy on the outside and juicy and fatty at the same time. The cool fresh taste of the cucumber cherry tomato pickled blueberry farro was a great complement to the richness of the pork belly. The rigatoni was also so delicious. A little salty but overall I loved it. A generous sprinkle or cheese on top of veal bolognese sauce. I don't know what it was but there was also a light crunch with each bite. The sauce had a lot of depth but wasn't gamey all all for being veal. The portions are soooo much bigger than I expected for a fancy restaurant vibe, we were pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend checking out this place for a fancy/casual dinner ambiance, and you really can't beat the price for how much and the quality of food you're getting. They also gave us a little baguette to start with smoked paprika and pesto butter (um what. Amazing). The wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive.
