I think this place is a bit overrated ,I went to good face to get a peel ,had peels before and they do lots of justice to my skin, but the peel they did it looks like I got nothing done. ,i went on yelp and saw great reviews about this place, not at all what I was hoping for ,she was two quick and from my other peels i know i wasted my $140 dollars, the price I saw on line was $120 for peels so I said I thought it was 120 and they told me it was because of tax but damn $20 dollar tax,,, I don't mind paying for my treatments when I go to a spa but make sure your price is what you Advertise and make sure you do good work ,I felt the work that was done on my face was trash I'm sorry I would not be returning to goodface ,I'll wait for my regular guy to come back from vacation.. read more

I first became a client through Lifebooker and then became hooked. Great location, close to the train and the bridge! I've bought packages and have been a client ever since. I even got a monthly facial while I was pregnant with my son. Lori propped up the massage table, and gave me tons of pillows so I was comfortable. She has organic products so you don't have to worry about any bad chemical passing through your skin. I look forward to my monthly treat to myself! I totally recommend this place. The place is nice and clean. The girls are very attentive and professional. I did my hydra-brasion facial with Diana. And i am totally impressed! Diana is very experienced and she right away knew what treatment would be the most beneficial for my skin type. I have a very sensitive skin and usually get a lot of redness after treatments. But this time around the treatment did exactly what it needed to do! Also, i got good advises on the products that i purchased and using right now. Plus, the location is very convent! I have rosacea so I was pretty nervous about potentially making it worst. After my facial my face felt and looked so much better. You can tell right a way how passionate and dedicated Lori is to her craft. Each visit my face got better. She also has helpful tips and products to keep my rosacea at bay. Diana is the best thing that has happened to my face in a long long time. She is extremely knowledgeable and knows exactly what your skin type needs. Extractions are not painful at all and are extremely thorough. The products that are used are so soothing and smell amazing however she never pushes me to buy anything but i find myself wanting to restock my entire beauty product cabinet with everything she uses. Lori is my new favorite esthetician! I went to her for microdermabrasion after buying a Lifebooker Loot special. I've had many facials throughout the years and microderm from time to time, i even did a microderm series a few years ago at a well known "celebrity" salon. And I found my experience at Lori's salon far superior in terms of service, technique, thoroughness and comfort! Oh and the price is right as well. In fact, I'm surprised at the value in comparison to the very expensive (and now I see definitely overpriced) "celebrity salon. Lori is obviously very skilled (her extractions were very well done and caused minimal pain and no scaring) but she also creates an "experience" at her salon that left me wholly relaxed and rejuvenated. It doesn't hurt that she seems like a really nice person and has a very calming personality. I've gone back to her twice now and both times I've rushed inside in a furry from my busy new york lifestyle and both times left feeling like a buddhist monk just come from her monastery (and with like really beautiful glowing skin). read more

Overall the experience was great and super relaxing, she was extremely thorough with the extractions and the massages were wonderful. The space is nicely decorated and very welcoming. This facial was exactly what I was looking for. I needed blackhead extractions and a knowledgeable esthetician in a simple and peaceful environment -- I found GoodFace on Yelp and because she's brand new, I was able to get an appointment same-day. I suspect that won't be the case for long. Lori did a great job - answered all of my questions, advised on the proper way to extract blackheads and problems to look out for, and as other reviewers have noted, her hand/arm/neck massage was great. My favorite part was a misted, botanic rain she sprays on your face from high up - it feels lovely. I am not one for the crowds and high prices of a spa -- this is a single-occupancy room that feels (and smells) restful before you even walk in the door. I want to begin by saying that I NEVER write reviews, but I had to let everyone know how wonderful Lori is. This is by far the BEST facial I have ever received from anyone. I have done everything from Fraxel, to sever peels, microdermabrasion, etc. I purchased the bio active peel from Lifebooker, i figured it couldn't hurt to try, since I have some dark spots that have not gone away with all the other things I've tried. I was a little nervous because I have never been satisfied with the facials in the past. So, I went to my appt. this past Saturday, and ladies, RUN don't walk to this spa. This was my first facial and I'm so glad it was! First of all, the space is incredibly relaxing- wonderful lighting and music and ambiance. Lori answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. She spent a ton of time explaining exactly what she was doing and made sure I understood why each thing was important for my individual skin. She also gave me some fantastic recommendations. I wish I could add extra stars! This was my first facial ever, I am a model and have been having some slight skin issues but nothing I thought twice about because of the amount of makeup I wear for work just covers everything up anyway. BUT after seeing Lori I have completely mixed up my beauty routine. Her salon is small quiet and cozy and most of all WARM. I love to be warm and cozy during my skin and hair and nail appointments and she had heaters and warm accents all around that really went the extra step to make sure I was comfortable. After settling in on the table I told her I brought my skin care line and went over my daily routine with her and after a quick look over my skin she gave me the prognosis of my problem as well as how to fix it. The absolute best part was she didn't try to sell me a thing. Not one wash not one cream. She insisted I finish the products I have because they were decent but not the best but the were very pricey. And she wrote down which cleanser to use which day and which order to use my products. I loved the educational part to my facial because honestly I just believe and buy whatever is in the magazines or someone recommends to me in the store. But as she pointed out not all skin is the same and she tailored my facial to my skin which I loved. I have pretty decent skin but she was able to get so much out of my pores with the extraction process I feel like a new clean woman! I had no idea all of that junk was hiding under my skin and in my pores. She also gave me extra calming time and product because my skin was more inflamed than normal due to my skins sensitive nature. This was the best facial I have ever received and not only because it was my first one but because the time she took with my skin and the time she took to educate me on my products and what I was doing wrong. I went to Lori because my skin was freaking out all over and she had great reviews. I thought it was hormonal acne which has always been a constant battle for me. As she was looking at my skin she basically told me that I have probably been misdiagnosed by doctors and it's basically from sweat. She told me some of her patients had this problem and they just used an over the counter dandruff shampoo as a face and body wash. She did say she can't promise anything but had good results and to give it a try. A month later my skin is clearing up and I have Lori to thank for that! I will def keep on going back!! read more

My skin is like whoa. I just had an oxygen facial with Alexis about 2 days ago and I swear I look like a teenager... ok... well maybe not a teenager... maybe more like a college grad... ha ha ha. Her massage was killer- I fell asleep twice and am pretty sure I snored in her chair. I've come here before but they were at a different location, this one has a different feel... more modern and chic. I really dug it. Last time I had Lori and she is amazing but I have to say... Alexis is really awesome. I came for a peel but she recommended that I wait until after summer and suggested the oxygen... worth it. I looked so fresh and dewy- not red at all and she even did extractions! I was so shocked that I wasn't red afterwards. Seriously, I was glowing so whatever is in that oxygen machine is FOR REAL. Her energy is really relaxing and I felt super pampered. Oh and they carry Naturopathica. It's my fav organic line that I used to have to go into Manhattan to get but getting it here in Brooklyn is way more convenient. I highly highly recommend Lori. Up until a year ago I was the kind of person who never had a problem with acne. Suddenly last year my forehead broke out with deep and massive comedones and I had no clue what to do. I visited dermalogica in soho and got my first facial and bought a few products there. My forehead cleared up maybe 40% awesome I thought! I'll definitely return. Then I thought I'd give Good Face a try because Lori uses dermalogica products and is right near my home. She did a microdermabrasion and more thoroughly extracted the comedones on my forehead than the dermalogica spa. I left with a bit of scabbing but that was expected because they were deep. I'd rather the scab for maybe 2-3 days and then be left with almost no comedones, than still have visible forehead issues for fear of going too deep. I'd just make sure you don't have any important pictures for a few days afterwards. I will definitely be returning, my forehead eternally thanks you Lori. read more

In the past, I only rarely got facials, but I've been going to Good Face regularly for the past couple months and am loving my treatments! The small space is lovely, calming and emphasizes an individual experience. Lori's skill and demeanor are wonderful-- she makes you feel very tended to and relaxed (even during extractions!) On my first visit, I got a gentle peel which made a huge difference in my skin that I could see right away. My skin wasn't flakey or irritated afterwards, just glowing and pretty. Facials are an experience I really look forward to now-- visiting with Lori, learning from her about what's best for my skin, enjoying the fabulous neck and arm massage-- it's a total treat! I came to Lori in the worst part of the summer, mid-August. My whole life, I've had really clear skin, but it was always oily. Within the past few years it's gotten oilier and more blackhead-prone, and between that, a friend recommending I try AHAs and oil-based products, and a ridiculous dermatologist barely examining me and throwing me a too-strong prescription, my skin was the worst it had ever been. Lori was quick to get back to me, and when I went to see her, she was extremely calming, and really took her time to ask questions about my skincare routine and product usage. She wasn't patronizing at all; she was extremely knowledgable and kind. The facial she did (my first facial ever) was extremely relaxing, and felt awesome. Even the extractions were completely bearable--she was quick, but extremely thorough. When we were through, my skin was a little red, but I'd never seen my face with clear pores and blackhead-free before in my life, it was amazing. She made product recommendations, gave me a skin diagnosis, and didn't pressure me to purchase anything there. Days later, my skin was glowing, healthy, and strong. I'm still having a few small, barely visible cysts come up on my face, but that most likely has more to do with the humidity and weather change's affect on my sensitive skin. I even emailed her almost a month after my facial with questions about product recommendations in a lower price range, and she got back to me right away. It was awesome meeting Lori, and to be around someone who was so knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. The price, experience, after-effects, and Lori herself, were all excellent.
