I'm not sure why the 1 star person got such bad burns, but yes, you should get a lower current or frequency if you're just starting out and let them know about any skin problems. Both ladies are so professional and I have seen results with each treatment done. I was referred to by two friends and I'm happy I was. Hair that was once unruly and a pain to look at is finally gone! They have an ice machine and will numb the areas that need to be zapped, which is always quite helpful when you're in pain, like I usually am. Like their website says : - arrive early, if you're going to be late, call them! They have things to do and could probably book a last minute client if possible. - bring cash or a check ( yes, they take checks!!!) I've always been pleased with their service and would highly recommend.

On the other hand, what I at first perceived to be chatty friendliness soon began to feel extremely uncomfortable and invasive. She asks an inordinate amount of questions, nosy ones, and doesn't back off even when it's clear the client doesn't want to answer. She also makes sweeping generalizations about entire groups of people and when you're lying flat on your back, at the mercy of her zapping needle, it's not really the time to get into a heated discussion. She also once surprised me with a significant price increase that there had been no warning about. For me, the tipping point was when she kept insisting I must have a disorder or condition because I'm overweight and have facial hair and inquiring time after time if I'd seen someone about it. I assume she was referring to PCOS, which many thin people have as well, but it really doesn't matter. She is not a medical professional and I did not come here for a diagnosis. I came for electrolysis. Had she said, "I don't think your hair growth is responding to electrolysis and I don't want you to waste your money if it's not helping. You might want to see an endocrinologist to see if there's an underlying cause before you continue," and then left it to me, that would've been entirely different. I stopped coming here after that, and it's a decision I do not regret.

I originally left a positive review because the quality of the lash work was excellent. Both the…read morelash tech & the master lash tech, who are sisters, are very talented & skilled at what they do. I received many compliments on my lashes over the years, which is why I remained a loyal client for so long. I also want to acknowledge that the salon itself is beautiful. The space is clean, well-maintained, & thoughtfully decorated. The atmosphere is relaxing, the blankets are comfortable, & I appreciated the Christian music and R&B that often played during appointments. It was easy to relax & even fall asleep while getting my lashes done. One issue I experienced involved excessive lash fallout shortly after an appointment. When I brought it to their attention, I felt there was an initial attempt to place the blame on me. During that same situation, I was encouraged to book a full set despite having recently received one & was asked to return the following day to complete the service. While the issue was eventually resolved professionally, the experience left me feeling frustrated & undervalued as a client. Over time, I realized that something always felt off in the overall client experience. I'm not expecting friendship from someone providing a service, but with personal services like lashes, waxing, nails, or massages, clients naturally develop a level of comfort & familiarity. Although there were moments where they were kind, I often felt more tolerated than genuinely appreciated despite my continued support of the business. There were also several moments where communication & rescheduling felt unnecessarily difficult. One interaction that stood out was being placed on hold for over 15 minutes. While on hold, I called from another number & the call was answered immediately. The reaction once realizing it was me made the interaction feel uncomfortable. I also invited them to participate in a volunteer empowerment event for young girls because I believed they could be positive role models & demonstrate what entrepreneurship & success in the community can look like. I viewed it as an opportunity to give back & encourage young girls to see successful women who looked like them pursuing their goals & building businesses of their own. While I fully respect everyone's right to value their time & services, a last-minute disagreement regarding compensation ultimately led us to withdraw the invitation. The situation reinforced some of the concerns I already had regarding communication & professionalism. Looking back, I realize I focused heavily on the quality of the work while overlooking how the overall experience made me feel as a client. The lashes were beautiful, & I still believe both women are highly skilled. However, over time I learned that talent alone is not enough for me personally. Professionalism, communication, & making clients feel genuinely welcomed matter just as much as the final result. If your priority is solely the lash work itself, you may have a positive experience. I can only speak honestly about my own experience as a long-term client.

I don't usually write reviews on here, I just check what other people have written but I had to write a review for N4. I want everyone to know about this fabulous Wiliiamsburg gem! I have been to a LOT of spas and now I never have to look for another spa again! Everyone is incredibly nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Every time I go I try a different service. Jumana is an amazing esthetician. She has done facials, eyelash extensions, and laser hair removal on me. You can tell how much she loves skin and she loves her work. She is incredibly nice and genuinely wants to make your skin better - she's not just in it to make a sale. I got a hair cut and color with Armando. What a sweet and fun man! The last place I went cut my hair unevenly and left it so dry and color-damaged. I was so happy when I walked out. You can tell how much experience he has in the way he cuts hair but he also listens to what you really want. I also got my nails done with Marzena. I have never had such a thorough manicure! She really takes her time to make sure your nails are perfect before you leave. She's so sweet. Overall, this place is amazing! It's a great atmosphere. Dr. George and Sara are also super friendly and helpful! Absolutely love it here!! read more

I come here for most of my beauty services--laser hair removal, Botox, brow waxing and the occasional filler injection--and I always leave feeling fabulous. The staff are all experts in their fields and the spa is professional, clean, and comfortable. I see Maria for laser and she is incredibly thorough and precise. I'm shocked at how smooth my skin is becoming, and she always zaps any little "fringe" areas she notices while doing the spots I'm there for. They also have super strong numbing cream that makes the whole process barely even uncomfortable. Dr. George is so friendly and so knowledgeable. He never pushes anything on you, will advise you honestly about whatever you're considering, and makes sure you've gotten your desired results if you come see him for a follow-up. Marszena and Kasia both do immaculate brow shaping, and if you want to spend some time with one of the sweetest and most talented hair wizards on Earth, go see Agnes. Returning customers get consistent discounts and they have a nice rewards program that saves me $100 every few months. read more

Terrific place to get your hair or skin treatments done. Agnes always nail my coloring to a T. Even when I just pop in for a trim, I get comments the rest of the day on how nice my haircut looks. I've never been kept waiting and the atmosphere is clean and comfortable. Their hair and skin products sold at reception are reasonably priced, but they don't force them on you in the pushy way some salons market their products. The online appointment scheduling and text reminders are ultra-convenient. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment here. read more

Anything I could have wanted in one place: tattoo removal from a board certified surgeon (Dr. George--who also turns out to be total eye candy), hair cut, color, style, laser hair removal, and all with a glass of wine in hand (tea and blue moon also offered). I've been going to Ever/Body for years and was thrilled when one opened in Williamsburg. I've done Clear + Brilliant, Morpheus8, IPL, hydrafacials, and filler there and I've NEVER been disappointed. When people tell me I look much younger than 40, I say it's thanks to Ever/Body. The results are natural yet effective and after five years of treatments (3 or so a year) I can vouch for long-term results. I always look forward to my appointments because their customer service is stellar and the space is calming and inviting. I've seen just about every NP and they're always kind, knowledgable, and never push services or products. The front desk is no exception. I love Zara, she's friendly and helpful with check-in and check-out. She doesn't push anything on you either, but is happy to answer any questions and make recommendations if you ask. I can't think of a single time I waited more than 5 minutes before getting called back. CANCELLATIONS - They have great customer service when I am running late or need to cancel last minute. Other places have very strict cancellation policies, and while I don't want to encourage taking advantage of their generosity, Ever/Body is extremely accommodating and understanding. I've never been charged a cancel/no-show fee, and if I'm not ready to reschedule they say "no problem!" Not even my dentist (Tend) will allow any grace with cancellation fees and they charge A LOT. I saw some bad reviews about Ever/Body cancelling appointments same day. I've experienced this too, but it's never been a big deal. It only happens when it's a specific treatment requiring a qualified technician so I take it as a positive that they don't treat their services or NPs as one size fits all/any employee can handle any laser or injectable. If that were the case, the treatment quality would be much worse. I'd much prefer to reschedule and wait for the best technician rather than have someone less qualified or experienced give it a go. It's a smart way to operate a quality business. PRODUCTS - they introduced me to the Alastin skincare line when I asked for serum recs a couple years ago. The Restorative Skin Complex is the best serum I've ever used - the way it absorbs, plumps, and smoothes my face leaves it feeling like I've just had a facial. It's pricey so once I ran out of my first bottle I tried several cheaper ones and eventually went back to Alastin because my skin responds to it better than anything else (& I am a product junkie, I've tried them all!) Alastin's moisturizer and face cleanser is much cheaper so I let myself splurge on the serum. TREATMENT PACKAGES - I recommend taking advantage of their Black Friday sale which is truly a great deal. I usually "stock up" for the following year with a package of 3 Clear + Brilliants and/or hydrafacials. it's easy to book appointments on their website and keep track of your account/packages/credits there. This is the longest Yelp review I've ever written. Testament to how much I love them!!
