Since posting my review below the owner of the Salon reached out to me and wrote multiple unprofessional emails attacking & bullying me. I stand by my words below as my review is based on my honest experience & facts. ------------------------------------ I chose this place based on glowing reviews on Yelp and I wish I didn't. I spent $380 (+ tips) for one hour treatment at this place I'm immensely dissatisfied with the experience & the result. 1. See attached before and after photo of my face. After photo was taken 24 hours after the facial and you can see how my skin is really red and pores are enlarged. I believe my skin was damaged during facial but I waited and see if my skin improved. My skin did not improved and I ended up getting a laser treatment elsewhere after a month. I reached out to the owner at later date and her answer was basically I reached out too late and nothing She can do about it. She said any damage to skin is not possible with this treatment I feel she did not trust my experience which is very insulting. 2. Room I was assigned was extremely small that the bed did not fit with the width of the room and had to be diagonal. I felt claustrophobic and did not feel relaxed. Also they play R&B music during facial which I find it distracting. My room also was next to the front desk and had really thin walls and I could hear phone calls or even couching noise from the receptionist. 3. Many important details are missing during facial. My facialist had very cold hands which felt uncomfortable. I found their light to be a bit bright during extraction so asked for an additional protection on my eyes. They just added additional layer of tissue and I wished they have more proper equipment for protecting light sensitive eyes. I asked her to apply a lip balm at the end of the treatment and was told they ran out of the lip balm. I don't understand how they could run out of a lip balm or they could just apply eye cream over lips. read more

I had a facial with Linda who was absolutely wonderful. Gentle, calm, patient and also a good listening ear and good advice to boot! It is now 2 days after my facial and all I could say is wow! I've been to many different upscale and neighborhood facialists because I suffer from bouts of hormonal acne on my chin. Sometimes the extractions are, however, I'm left with bumpy uneven skin. Keeping up a good conversation while someone is rubbing lotion all over you is typically..difficult but my esthetician, Natalya was absolutely wonderful and kept an intriguing conversation throughout. I was quite nervous for my first micro needling appointment because I wasn't sure if it was 1) going to work and 2) if it was going to hurt. It honestly was not bad, the numbing cream and skin cocktail Natalya used prior absolutely did the trick to the point I forgot needles were being jabbed in my face. Outside of the procedure itself, their product line is absolutely stellar (my friend that works for a major skincare line confirmed) and I absolutely adore all of the products they have suggested for me. This is also a salon that's going to be honest with you - they will tell you what you need vs what you do not need. Did I really rack up my bill with products, yes - but did they tell me I should come every 2 weeks for the next 4 months to get the results I was looking for? Absolutely not. I'm a major review person so I did a ton of research before selecting a spa. I was in search of a place in BK that I could call home for laser hair removal and facials. Everyone at TB was nice and I hate to leave a low review but this has just been my experience. I got my first BR facial and things were fine. I came back two weeks later for my first laser hair removal treatment and it was pretty traumatic. (I've had years of LHR on my face with no issues but my spa closed down due to covid) Starting out Gina asked if I used any actives and I mentioned I used P50 that morning and asked if we should wait? She said she would try a few spots and if it hurt too bad I could come back. The only thing I thought I had to worry about was pain which I was used to with LHR. Never could I imagine I would get burnt but after 3 painful passes she turned the settings down finished and I went home. The next day I woke up with 3 black burns on my face. Thank God she noticed my discomfort and turn it down because if she hadn't my entire face would have scars. I called them, sent photos, and was told to put makeup over it (which didn't help) and that they would follow up with me in a week. I canceled my weekend plans and tried to keep my mask on to cover it (it didn't). Now almost a month later and the scabs have come off, but I'm left with awful black marks on my skin and they never called to follow up. I feel this has really set me back with my skin and I'm constantly searching for options to fix this. It's been a very disheartening experience and something I'm forced to deal with daily. I wasn't sure what service I wanted exactly and my esthetician Linda helped me figure out what would be best for me. I got hydrafacial and a lifting treatment after, which literally made me look like I got a mini face lift! I couldn't believe how high my cheekbones and brows were (but not scary high) just a nice refresh. My skin also looked like glass, you could barely see my pores from the hydrafacial. I've lived in this neighborhood for years and only recently started coming for laser (underarm) with Jessica and quarterly facials with Paula. The facilities are small yes but impeccably clean, welcoming, and the staff are as much about making you feel good aa they are making you look good. I got tons of great tips about skincare (some don't involve buying their products!) that have helped maintenance but in between sessions. I personally wasn't coming from a tough skin situation but legit saw a transformation from someone else who was coming in. Amazing. Yes, pricey let's get that there out of they way. This place is MAGICAL. How do Allison and Paula look so young? When they told me their ages, I said, "You should have told me to sit down first!!" It is amazing; their skin is gorgeous. They took such good care of me. I have very sensitive skin, and they didn't baby me, but they weren't too abrasive either. It's 5 days later after the facial and using their skincare, and my pores are half the size, and my skin is tighter. I just moved to the area and after two days of moving, a year of A PANDEMIC and working around the clock I knew I needed some sort of zhoosh for my dull face. Enter Tres Belle. They carry my fave products (P50 4ever) and the atmosphere is just right. Two days later and my skin is still just that good. I like to call it "rich girl skin" i..e, it's shiny, soft and seemingly way more supple like i drink enough water (I don't.) As for the facial, I opted for the Remodeling sitch which is basically some sort of 1950s looking micro-current that is rubbed on your face. You taste metal. It feels weird. It's hit or miss. The first time I came was for a Korean Beauty facial. Snail does wonderful things for my skin, and I always thought my face would appreciate snail the most after a deep-cleaning facial. So I paid $188, and they used some brands I've never heard of which I was skeptical about since I am an Asian Beauty fan and user. To be fair, there are a lot of different AB brands and while I know a lot of them, I don't know them all. It was a fine facial with average products. Not great, just fine. I thought the cleaning could have been deeper and better, but I'm spoiled by my Angel in LA. I don't remember how lasering got brought up, but I am a hairy monkey and I figured I needed it. I came back for a free consultation with Oksana who is a very sweet woman and said my skin might even be better after the laser and we agreed on 5 treatments for $500 for my full face, all prepaid. The first session was fine. The second time, the laser machine wasn't working. She turned it on and off multiple times for about 10 min with me awkwardly lying there, until she asked me if I could come back a little later. Honestly, I was fine with it, but I wish she asked earlier. She diagnosed that the machine was overheated, which didn't seem like it was a surprise for her, she was more agitated at the machine and embarrassed that she was keeping me waiting. Whatever. She's nice and these things happen. I came back, she apologized a lot and I said it was fine, because really, my schedule was free. The third session was fine. She never remembers what exactly I need done and always asks what part of my face we were doing. I understand not remembering every client, but it surprises me there isn't some sort of client profile in their system. My face, my entire hairy face, please. I arrived 12 min early to my fourth session, rang the doorbell (iron door is always closed and locked) no one answered. I saw someone was working through the crack of the facial room so I figured only one of them was in (perfectly normal for a small parlor) and was busy, so I hung out outside until 1:30. Rang again. No answer. So basically I hung out until 20 min after my appointment keeping myself busy on the phone and intermittently ringing the door bell until finally the woman who did my facial the first time (and had forgotten me from the looks of her reaction) answers the door, peeved by my existence. I walked in and she, with looks and a tone of an irritated Red Sorceress, said yes? I said I have an appointment at 1:30. "For what." "For lasering my face." "It's cancelled." "What?" "It's cancelled she's not here." "I never got a call about it." "That's not possible she called everyone and told them." I'm a texter, so I remember who calls me because it's out of the norm. I know I didn't get a call from them. I know I didn't get a voicemail from them. She bold-faced lied to me and decided to give me attitude when they've made a mistake on their end. Her only solution to get me out of her hair was to tell me to call the owner/manager because apparently she can't re-schedule appointments. Calendars are hard I guess. Left a message to manager/owner to call me back and never got a call back. I even re-checked my email to make sure I wasn't going crazy. I was sent a reminder through their automated mindbody email about my appointment 2 days before this mess. No email about it being canceled. Per their appointment email: "all appointments canceled without 24 hours prior notice will be charged in full.Clients with pre-paid packages will have a visit deducted.DUE TO THE SMALL SIZE OF OUR SPA AND LARGE CLIENT BASE, THESE POLICIES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED AND BUILT INTO OUR BOOKING SOFTWARE." So did I get a visit added? HAH. But that reminded me I can book on the mindbody app (which I did the first time, but the subsequent three appointments were in person for a month ahead after each session), so I did for the next day. Neither their owner nor Oksana seemed aware I had a situation (I left a detailed message!). I brought it up with Oksana and she looked confused until she remembered that they had a meeting that lasted really long. Nothing about calling me to cancel the appointment. She didn't apologize either. Which...she's a sweet lady. So fine. The fifth time was also when she was the most detailed but she wasn't aware it was my final time (at this point not surprising). Overall: yes! Most of the unwanted hair is off of my face! WOOHOO! Is my skin better? Debateable. The very tip of one of my eyebrows is also singed, which should come back...right? I should also say about 3 out of 5 of my visits, she mentioned I needed a facial which I did, and it's fine, kind of. I'm used to the Chinese facial ladies always pushing and selling more. But this isn't Chinatown or Chinatown prices. I kept excusing things that irked me because she's genuinely a sweet person, but I shouldn't have to be doing that, right? Hit or miss. read more

Get you some lasering by the wonderful new laserlady JESS ! In three treatments I have seen more results than in YEARS with other laserladies. She is funny and whipsmart and kind and understanding. On the whole (pun intended) a usually quite uncomfortable (for me) situation has become NO BIG DEAL. I have had problems in the past with scarring and inconsistent results, but NO MORE. In fact, let me state for the record - Allison the owner is a generous and loving person, and hires women who are the same. "Today, I will be giving you a Korean snail mucus facial." Nope, not the end of an unusual Grindr date. This quote was said to me by Paula, one of the great facial folks at Tres Belle. It was not my first time there, but it was certainly my first time having mucus of any sort smeared on me. It really bears mentioning how knowledgeable the staff is there. I was asked what issues, challenges, and concerns I have with my skin before the facial even started. At my mention of "random blackheads" (which I would only say out loud at times of pure comfort), she began to speak. To be honest, I was sorta regretting my response, fearing a "sales pitch" was coming for a "special cream" I can only get there... Surprise! Her recommendation was a $4 bottle of scrub that she said I can get at Duane Reade. Amaaaaazing. I really appreciated all of her customized-for-me tips and honest suggestions to continue my face care on my own after the facial. And then there's the aforementioned facial. Really just great. So relaxing, I almost dozed off. I felt fresh, rejuvenated, and (considering it partially consisted of snail mucus) CLEAN. The final stage of the facial was this ice cold... cold ball.
